When I watch the clip of Liam in his hotel room holding onto that pillow alone it breaks your heart until Hope shows up. The song is perfect. Hope's timing coming back when Liam's marriage is falling apart. He looked completely broken but in spite of it seeing that it was Hope calling him his response was priceless. They deserve their happily ever after but it won't come easy. Bill Spencer is a monster and his wife is no angel. Liam's tormented by the thought of shooting his father. Why No One Should Feel Bad for Steffy Forrester (& Everyone Should Love Brooke Logan and Hope Logan) : The Bold and the Beautiful is setting up Steffy as a victim in Dollar Bill's latest scheme. The end result of this storyline, I assume, is to have people, Liam included, feel bad for Steffy when the lie about her ongoing affair with Bill is revealed. The problem with this scenario is that Steffy is far from a victim. If anything, it's Liam and countless other characters who are the victims of Steffy's gross selfishness. This includes her unborn child, who's being used as a pawn in her manipulations.  Before you let B&B convince you to shed a tear for Steffy, let's clear something up. B&B seems to be focusing on Bill's lie as the root cause of Liam annulling his marriage to Steffy, implying that Liam should reunite with Steffy when the lie is exposed. This tunnel vision perspective misses the point of why Liam was correct in filing the annulment papers. The point isn't that Steffy having an ongoing affair with Bill is a lie. The point is that Steffy slept with Liam's father, lied about it until Liam found the paternity test, then proceeded to have a series of private meetings with Bill without Liam's knowledge. The point is that Steffy continued to keep secrets from Liam, secrets that she shared with Bill (like Taylor shooting Bill, for example). In fact, Steffy is still keeping a secret from Liam: she has yet to disclose the real reason she signed the annulment papers. Steffy may not be having a sexual affair with Bill, but she persists in putting herself in intimate situations with him. If anything, she's having an emotional affair with her father-in-law. If these points don't convince you that Steffy isn't putting Liam's needs above her own, then consider this: if Steffy really cared about Liam's feelings, then she would have agreed to move far away from Bill in order to truly put the infidelity behind them. Instead, she buys the house that Bill proposed to her in, because why should she move? If anything is evidence of Steffy's pernicious influence over Liam, it's the fact that Liam grew a pair the minute he got engaged to Hope. Suddenly, we're seeing Liam stand up for himself, refusing to let Ridge and Steffy collectively bully him into doing as Steffy commands. Liam's also become more tolerable as a character; his acting and dialogue are even better with Hope. With Steffy, Liam was stripped of his principles, his sanity, and his masculinity. With Hope, Liam is slowly regaining his self-respect.  The truth is, Steffy brought all of this on herself. She can cry and throw Terrible Two tantrums all she wants, but it won't change the truth of the matter. For once, she's experiencing consequences for her actions. It's a foreign feeling for her, being held accountable; she's not used to not getting what she wants when she wants it. What part of "you slept with your father-in-law" do you not understand? Which brings me to Brooke. I never thought I'd see the day when I could love Brooke Logan, yet here we are. Brooke has done what no one else has been willing to do. She's taken upon herself the role of accountability officer, and she just read Steffy her rights.  I've never enjoyed a scene more. Steffy was begging for a tongue lashing the minute she barged into Brooke's house as if she owned the place.  Steffy is quick to accuse Brooke and Hope of trapping Liam with a quickie marriage, which incidentally says a lot about her opinion of Liam. It's Steffy's misfortune that Brooke isn't in the mood to tolerate her hypocritical moral judgements. Steffy may have forgotten how she trapped Liam into marriage in Aspen, but Brooke hasn't.   Steffy has no right to pass judgment on anyone, let alone Hope. Brooke certainly won't let Hope put up with Steffy's holier-than-thou attitude another minute.  You hear that Steffy? Not another minute of this: I don't know, Steffy. What do you say when you look in the mirror? Brooke tells Steffy in no uncertain terms that Hope and Liam are getting married, so her idle threats won't do any good.  You can tell by Steffy's face that she's not used to being confronted with reality. What is it they say about bullies? Right, that they're actually the ones who are most afraid.  Steffy being given a reality check was long overdue. Brooke holding Steffy accountable for her actions is needed to counterbalance Ridge enabling her bad behaviour.  Gross Steffy schemed with Bill more than once to keep Liam and Hope apart, without consequences. Steffy killed her cousin Aly, without consequences. Well, she's living with a whole lot of consequences now, and she doesn't like it. Not one bit. It's called karma, Steffy. All that's left is for Bill to be revealed as the father of Steffy's baby, and the karmic cycle will be complete.  Word to the wise: Don't feel bad for Steffy; she only feels bad for herself...
