Between this and the blog post, it looks pretty interesting. It’s definitely giving Sims Hot Date vibes though! Bearskin rug, all the animal prints, heart bed, costume trunk, etc. Plus new career, traits, lot trait, death, woohoo locations, etc. I’m actually pretty excited!
Yeah, this is something I would buy on a 50% sale, but I wouldn't pay full price for it. 🤔
They are going really hard on butterflies, iv noticed them on a lot of furniture, hair clips, clothing, wall paper and even a decal on the fountain!

Yeah I mean maybe the gameplay trailer will prove us wrong about this feeling an expansion pack but I don't have high hopes.
I'm excited for this EP, way more than I ever was for Horse Ranch and For Rent. It's actually reminding me of Growing Together, which is my favourite recent EP because it introduces a new system to the game (Family relationships and Milestones) alongside a base game update (infants). I have played with this pack so much since it came out, because it enhances family gameplay so much along with giving all Sims more personality. To me, this does seem like an Expansion Pack of the Sims 4 variety (of course we can't compare it to EPs from Sims 2 and Sims 3 in terms of completeness) because it has a decent-sized Mexican-inspired world (13 lots and 3 neighborhood containing a gym, nightclub and library). Growing Together, for comparison, only had 12 lots in its 3 neighborhoods, so this is already one better.
Additionally, Lovestruck will have a new system for Romance Dynamics alongside a basegame update that also adds new Romantic features (boundaries) for everyone. I love the reintroduction of Sims 2's Turn-offs and Turn-ons, alongside a genuine attraction system reminscent of the one in Nightlife. The online dating app is back from Sims 3 at last too. You can also plan dates with more options than in the basegame (if this works...). The pack further adds a fully-tiered Romance Skill with unlocked interactions, as well as a new career. It even has 2 new aspirations and 2 new traits, whereas GT only had the four child aspirations. It has 2 new fears, and new socialization questions related to them. It might even possibly add a new pet, the Axolotl (which would make sense as it is a rare salamander native to Mexico). From the trailer, the new EP looks like it has a pretty hefty build and buy catalogue as well as a lot of nice-looking CAS.
Finally, for me, the cherry on top of this pack is all the little callbacks to Sims 1 Hot Date, like the bearkskin rug, the vibrating heart bed coming back into the game, and the quirky tackiness of the sexy costume chest which reminds me of the cake dancer's outfit. I can't believe there is now a public woohoo option with the new blanket object, which adds some of the fun naughtiness of the changing booth of Sims 2 back into the game. The new dip kiss animation also reminds me of the wonderful romantic animations of sims 2 (which in my opinion have never been topped in the franchise -- I always enjoyed goose and the raunchy couch makeout animation). Of course, the value of this pack will be undermined if we get another Wedding Stories glitchy situation; hopefully they've learned from that mistake.

looks like theres a ton of recycled flowers right at the beginning of the trailer. im seeing wedding stories, cats and dogs, laundry flowers. im still excited for this tho, the build/buy looks pretty big!

I think the not shared means that they aren’t currently in the world. That’s probably how they’re gonna handle gallery Sims.
It’s just confusing that they used a house icon instead of say, a globe. That’d be much clearer

That’s super unlikely. Big build features are always base game. They would make a bigger deal of it in the trailer if it was a pack thing
With all due respect, I just wanted to say that... The Sims 3 Expansion packs costed 20-25$ for quadruple the amount of a the Shit 4 expansion. A S4 EP costs 40$... Just saying...
…? Sims 3 expansion packs also cost $40 at release. You might be getting them confused with Sims 3’s stuff packs which were $20, except for Katy Perry Sweet Treats. Now does Lovestruck look like it’s only worth $25…yeah, it does, lol

The world better be interactive enough and amazing enough that it makes up for the rest of the $20 this not gamepack costs. That being said, the sexy cosplay is hilarious, and I’m so glad they included this. Also, is that a new hot tub on the penthouse?
Edit: Never mind that’s the pool. A hot tub in addition to curved pool walls would be nice though (RIP patio stuff). I hope the curved pool walls are a base game update.
I'm really not sure how to feel about this. It gives me game pack vibes, though. Also, I'm not really liking the CAS.

Didn't miss much by waiting. It's Bad tacky taste run amok... from tiger wallpaper to kissing multiple sims in front of each other. Even flirting with the Reaper while he/she/they are picking up the sim's ex which he caused to die of a broken heart.... Tacky. This is a game pack, not EP. No matter what they say. So I'm waiting for 50% discount.
I pretty much like all the content I've seen in this trailer. I even pre-ordered it because I like some of the bonus items that I have ideas for how I will use them. I get it that simmers will see these packs as game packs instead of Expansion packs, but I think E.A. figured the number of new interactions plus other physical content is worth the price of an EP. The debate continues...
This seems to have a bit of crude humor and raunchy theme, something we miss sorely in this game.
We have Leisuresuit Manny getting lucky at love and some poor young sim, whom I see as Cassandra 2 dyjng from a broken heart... Yeah, I need to see more gameplay.

Didn't feel like doing the whole "yes this is my face" joke that I've sometimes done with trailer reaction videos since I did that Bustin' Out video last week and streamed Dreamlight Valley last night with my face during 99% of it lol. Hopefully you're just referencing the joke with some funny sarcasm, it is a good joke, but my face reveal was about a decade ago 😛

I mean, that’s why I don’t do the 😮 or 😱face in my thumbnails unless there’s something genuinely super shocking. The way I posed in this one is a nod to one of the animations sims do in CAS when you pick the Romantic trait.
So what would you consider a non-silly face? Let’s have a conversation about it, because in this day and age I think just about any face on a UA-cam thumbnail can look silly depending on your perspective.
@@IronSeagull I actually didn’t know that face was an animation in CAS. I suppose I never understood why the face was necessary for all of the simtubers. It’s sad to see others conform. It’s obnoxious and I take it as sign of generic content. But if it helps with the views I guess who am I to judge.
