Finding a 1 of 910 Ford E150 Crusing Van!!!

- Hey All, In this video we go up to Statesville, NC to the home of @thepatinagroup & @firehousevintagebroncos to pickup the new to us 1979 Ford E150 Freewheeling Van.
This Econoline van is 1 of 910, optioned with the Crusing Van Package that added the insanely cool stripes & so much more. It has 55,117 Original Miles on the 351/Auto when we got it and its in such great shape.

Damn, my 78 is in almost as nice shape. 300 / 3 on the tree baby! Keep it as stock looking as you can, rebuild original engine, tranny and 9 inch with some helper springs out back. Oh and you gotta put a bed in the back

Happy for you Dude …. However…. Not so happy for myself ……. Am I missing something here??? In my opinion ( my great Granfather ) was the Original developer of “Pebble Beach” In mid August I will be at Monterey Car Week with my first friend I ever had ! His Great grandfather was Horace Dodge! So….. help me OUT with the confusion around the Digital Age …… and God Bless You …… how in the F……. Did you or better yet I …. Wind up even viewing your U Tube presentation here ???????? My opinion: Something has gone terribly wrong here

A mild weld tech lift if possible on it Three inches Build up the suspension for towing nice class 4 hitch Trans cooler build up the C6 trans Locker in the 9 inch Put on some 265 70 16. Camping cot mattress cooler some camping gear Save on motel rooms make a nice tow rig out of it new radio Apple car play hands free talking on the cell phone new speakers Amp sub. Rails on the top car top carrier like your pops all our pops would do back in the day maybe some back off mud flaps

Not a stain on that carpet? Wow! If you don't go all in to swap, the 351M is good starting point. Dump all the acronym pollution junk and add a cam and just a little extra compression and she'll be an even better cruiser.

I had a 74 E100 with a 302, no side windows, a bed, an ice box fridge, tv, it was so cool. L9ved it!
Keep.the 302, maybe do a Holley snipe kit. Put beefy aod or a e4od simce your gonna tow..

I love your van. It is rare to find something like this at all, especially with fairly low miles, and in such beautiful condition. Congrats to you and your family. Make some memories with it that your kids will cherish in their lives forever.

Nice Find! Growing up my parents had a '79 Econoline 'Midas Touch' conversion van. Shag carpet & folding bench seats in the back that folded into a bed. It was an awesome family truckster!
If you try and tow snickers with that anemic 5.8 you'll be hating life.
I mean i would probably be grinning ear to ear by the view haha

What a great looking van. I remember one of the vans my father had was a '79 Ford, with a 351 auto, it was white on the top & blue on the bottom, bare interior. I think it'd be cool to make that 4 wheel drive.

I could never leave anything stock. I'd say do something OEM plus by modernizing it a bit with a modern trans for towing and a 2-3 inch lift and maybe a little bigger tire because i dig the wheels and the shine chrome and cut/polish paint
