Now the dudes rapping real things dont get the props and money they deserve, so it puts them in a difficult predicament, real lyricists end up dumbing down their rhymes for the sake of sales, also know as selling out or "selling your soul".

Mervz Biggz @ catch 22. i don't think you have to make a living as a hip hop artist. Being a musician is a hobby; it's fun, that is incentive enough for many people. I think it is unfortunate that most people don't value rappers that speak truth and glorify greed, but it's a good sign that enough people value Hopsin and Swizz that they can make a living doing what they do.
