What It’s Like To Run A Ukrainian Restaurant In NYC Right Now
I walk past Veselka all the time. I feel it used to only really be popular on the weekends but ever since the recent news, it’s always a madhouse. No matter what time of the day it is there’s always a line. Just about everyone in New York is paying their respects to Veselka currently. Amazing food as well.
Thank you for sharing your story! Hope your parents and pets remained safe and well! 🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
I greatly appreciate this episode. Well done CNBC Make It. 🔥
Praying for the best for Vitalii! 🙌🏻
It really puts into perspective the real things that matter in life when all you want to know from your family if they're okay.
Save Ukraine

I'm not Slavic or even European but I always say Veselka has the best Pierogi in town.

KYIV not KIEV, dear CNBC
KyivNotKiev is an online campaign started by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Its goal is to persuade English-language media and organisations to exclusively use Kyiv (derived from the Ukrainian language name Київ) instead of Kiev (derived from the Russian language name Киев) as the name of the Ukrainian capital.
It won't change reality social media proved that it can do absolutely nothing as it was tested on palestine while the occupation apartheid israel been there for more than 7 decades
I am Ukrainian and girl who was born and raised in KIEV, who totally against occupation! So f*** off!
Oh, and Kiev is more ancient then ukrainian or russian languages!
So cute ❤
Business is good. Sweet sense of a show of support from the community. Hopefully the staff finds time to rest when they are not working.
❤️❤️❤️
Some of the best food in NYC 🇺🇦
I am wondering $300 for how much time? A week? A month?
this is typical monthly salary in Ukraine.. Unfortunately.
1:12 The correct spelling is Kyiv, not Kiev.
Depends of the language, for me it says Kiev on Google maps
Kyiv is Ukrainian spelling. Kiev is Russian spelling. So kyiv is correct.
@@gl4989 kyiv (Київ) is Ukrainian spelling. While Kiev (Киев) is Russian spelling. So of course we should follow the Ukrainian spelling. So kyiv should be used.

не запорожский а запорiзький
Glory to Ukraine. Thanks, CNBC

Wow his dad and him are carbon copies! I seriously thought it was him with a filter on. 😳

Expert Mrs.Catalina is the best
recommended to all newbies/beginners who wants to add more gains to their stocks. I've been making crazy gains being gutsy
I'm so excited to here Mrs.Catalina's name being mentioned here. I have built my
portfolio massively following her leads
🕶💪
this guy reminds me of Gatis Kandis
4:43 His dad is a cat.
Make him President of USA after that
I bet he has never smiled.
Unfortunately, he seems overworked and overwhelmed. I hope his situation changes one day when he does not have to work as much and enjoy life a little.

Let's hope 🤞
Go work in a restaurant for 12 hours a day and you’ll see if you smile…
Did you watch the same video? He faces possibly losing his parents every living moment awake or sleep. He even says he doesn’t sleep well at night. What is he supposed to do, stay at home and stare at the ceiling? Comment on peoples YT or social media feed? He is tired, but he is living - being at a place where the owners and other staff care about him. He is working at a place where people come from all over to wish well for his country. I don’t know about you folks but I think that’s where I would chose to be if I were in his place right now. Yes, I have met him, and we have a common interest/love of vintage cars - yet, it’s not what we discuss when I see him today…
Thoughts and prayers for Ukraine but pay attention to me first guys
🙃
Donations of products are useless if none of it gets to Ukraine.
Unfortunately you are right. Also, it takes money to ship the donations and it requires a lot of coordination (customs, transport, distribution, handling). It’s better to send money to the Red Cross. Donations from Europe are easier to ship though.
Kyiv not Kiev. Stop using Russian transliteration
Kiev.
i love Ukraine women like i love mitch Obama. in sleep or real life
There’s food not even close to ukranian
The rudest personnel ever in that restaurant. Ruins all the impression. It seems like they are very eager to reproduce all the old Soviet service traditions. And they are very successful in that. Gave them 2 starts on Google. Do not recommend.
