Thank you David.gripping stuff. We walked around Slack a few weeks ago, you have to use your imagination! Imagine making a bloomin' golf course car park over what could have been an amazing attraction - Beggars belief!
You have competition. Doncaster - Danum, would like to claim the title of Camulodunum. Let battle commence... Leeds was Campodunum or Cambodunum. Either Quarry Hill or Camp Fields, Holbeck. There is also Camptown on the edge of Alwoodley. Further up King Lane there was Burgodunum, now called Adel. Even further up past Lake Eccup there is Burden Head Farm - a possible site of the Arthurian Battle of Mons Baden, circa 1500 C.E.? Adel had a Roman Baths too. It was a significant Roman ribbon settlement, with a high status Bathhouse complex. Prestige and worthyness were placed upon it. Nowdays we have David Lloyds! 😂
Thank you, absolutely fascinating

I JUST READ THAT THIS PLACE WAD CALLED CAMULONUDO?
It was called CAMULODUNUM. It's one of the potential sites in the King Arthur story for Camelot.
