"Wasp King is a mimic fly" If you buy all of the items from the old bug on Metal Island, he states that we remind him of a FLY he had met once that wanted an old CROWN he fished out of a lake. Later in the game, it's mentioned that the fire power may be connected to the Wasp King's CROWN. So basically an old guy just almost accidentally could've destroyed everything if Team Snakemouth wasn't there because he didn't know what the crown was capable of :]
I like to think that Kabbu's theme would resemble the second part of Cruel Beast, Devourer of Journeys, but a lot more serene given Kabbu's usual cool temper.
That makes more sense than what I was thinking, which was the first part with a more heroic, knight-like kind of flair. Maybe even some of the Far Grasslands music mixed in? No clue.
I know my jaw dropped when I first looked through the telescope in the Bee Kingdom. Also, my headcanon with Mite Knight is that it did originally feature plain ants, but was localized to have Zombiants.
32:07 There's actually another *Hollow Knight* reference in *Bug Fables,* there's a secret room that contains the Delicate Flower (an item in HK, key part of one sidequest most people _love_ 'cause how CBT inducing it can get), and a Nail, the Knight's sword.
When I was playing bug fables with my sibling, I would always use the mothiva doll on every single thing as a joke. If only I used the green ranger doll, I would have gotten all of the silly dialogue.
I'm not so sure the apocalypse was a nuclear war. One of the Lore Books says that Roaches Awakened soon enough to see it and talk about raining fire. It also goes on to say that there aren't any craters to suggest something like this and that they don't know if it's actual history, theory, or some kind of creation myth. I will admit that I had not considered the use of WMD's as the explanation for Humans not being around.

Personal theory that it was some nuclear fallout, probably more likened to something like Chernobyl. If a nuclear plant exploded, or caught fire, it could potentially explain what the roaches saw. Roaches also inherently being tied closely to human dwellings may be why they were "awakened" first. Bugs gaining sentience could be a mutation gained from the radiation of the fallout, but that is kinda a guess. The dead landers obviously seem like mutated monsters, an amalgam of bugs, plants, and fungi. A little fun fact about roaches is that they are pretty resistant to radiation, which may explain how roaches are able to live in the dead lands for so long without anything happening to them. (I have no explanation for the scorpions, kind of a weak point in the theory.) The Crystals ( like the one we see powering the fridge) Could maybe be some byproduct of a power plant? maybe? It would explain their abundance of energy, even though nuclear power doesn't quite work like that.

really good vid!! i was waiting for an bug fables iceberg to be made! btw, if youre wondering, the reason why the limited run thing got delayed was apparently because of a boat problem where the packages where stranded in sea, pretty funny to think about honestly

This was a very cool video! I actually didn't know about that cut Mario Party-like mini game. I can see why it was scrapped cause it would have been a bit too large compared to Flower Journey and Mite-Knight. Also your editing is very topnotch!

Great video, I’ve played through the game twice and still learned some new stuff I would’ve never known! Bug fables is the spiritual successor to paper Mario as far as I’m concerned
@@zezmogg934 It's true though, Kabbu comments that he's encountered them in the North, and canonically Omega can leave whenever it wants. None of the Deadlanders are locked in either, they avoid Bugaria because there's a mother crystal in the Forsaken Lands that they don't like going near. It's the only thing preventing Bugaria from being overrun too. The lock on the door to the Deadlands from Rubber Prison is to prevent bugs from going out, not Deadlanders from getting in.
@Zezmogg9 theres a lore book mentioning something or other about the northerners having to deal with deadlander attacks and the writer feels bad for them

You CAN actually get to the test room without cheating however it is extremely complex so I would just recommend looking at a video on how to get there

When I saw the bottom most item of The Dark Abyss, I actually did a Walter White collapse. I should've realized that PJSim2001's video about the incident being recommended to me was an omen.
I'd theorize that the play is a bit of Ant Kingdom propaganda, since the prince is played by a ladybug thief. Kinda fitting, because the bug starts quoting Bug Shakespeare at you, and IRL Shakespeare's history plays reflected the biased perspective of the history chronicles which he used to write them.
