    Hey Sue & Nigel.....So glad you took the long way back from Wineglass Bay as it is such a chilled walk and ever so scenic. Well done. Good to see you became a couple of 'Dora Explorers' out at Binalong Bay too. Thanks for the great video. 😃👍

    Hi guys, just another alternative to testing the vehicle for levelness - we keep a golf ball in a drawer and when we pick a spot, place the ball on the bench and see how it rolls. Hopefully it doesn't. Works a treat! :) Give it a go. Also for the windy times, try a couple anti-flappers on your awning. Goodonya guys!

    Looked so relaxing on Milllionaires Row, perfect spot to chill and watch the world go by! Hope that key fob dries out, how many times do yiu see folks leave their wallets in their back pockets and take a dip, then hear expletives for the next 5 mins lol, yep happens more times than you would reckon!! Lovely episode, l envy you guys being able to do your long hikes. Thank you for taking all of us along these stunning tracks.

      Thanks so much Lee! Fortunately the key worked fine the next day. My son went for a swim with his phone in his pocket a few years ago, and that definitely wasn’t waterproof! The rice didn’t work with that one

    Nice bit of video trickery there. You talking in the foreground and Nigel doing a time lapse pack up in the background. Really loving the coastline. That sunrise was awesome. Some cracker scenery. I notice though I’m not getting any fitter watching you doing all this hiking! 😂🤗

    It's hard to see a Tassie devil in the wild. Especially since devil facial tumour disease (DFTD) has killed off so many of them. However, on my third trip there in 2022, we happened to be driving back to the wonderful Walheim cabins within Cradle Mountain National Park when we saw one on the side of the road (outside the park). It was about 9pm. It had DFTD. I got a few photos of it through the car windscreen before it ambled off into the thick bush.

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  2 місяці тому +1

      We really thought we would see one in the Tarkine, where the DFTD hasn't taken hold yet, but alas, no. Maybe because Nigel was sick and we didn't really go outside at dusk. Lost opportunity.

    Hi guys, we have been following your journey for a while now and are really loving it. We live in the Townsville region and no how hot it can get. We are starting our own van build at the end of the year and are very interested in what you think about the insulation you used eg. would you change anything about the materials or methods you used and the fact that you don’t have an aircon has really intrigued us. We can’t imagine with the heat we suffer up here in the north that you won’t need a aircon. On the flip side of that we are very keen to hit the cold. Thanks Steven & Hazel.

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  2 місяці тому

      Hey Steven and Hazel, thanks so much for watching. The thing with insulation in a van is it’s great for cold weather. For hot weather ventilation is much more important. The worst night we ever had in the van was in Townsville in late February!! We tried to be north in winter and south in summer but that hasn’t always worked. We would need a huge battery bank to run an aircon off grid. So I guess it depends if you’re planning on being off grid or staying in caravan parks. We try to avoid them!

    Hello sue and Nigel. Just found your vids and have subscribed.. we are on the west coast of Tassie for a year and are about to look at sprinter van.. quick questions are they reliable and is there any issues you have discovered owing one for sometime now. Kind regards Pierre and Deb

      Hi Pierre and Deb, we have found our sprinter to be very reliable. No issues with our model. It’s a diesel engine commercial vehicle, so built to travel many hundreds of thousand kms.

      @@nigelandsueadventuresOk thanks for letting me know. But I think that to get millions of views on your videos and get lots of subscriber. Your videos need to be properly optimized and SEO. Also need to promote since your channel is small. That will help you get more views on your videos and subscribers to your channel. As a result, you can earn a good amount every month from UA-cam. However, I hope you will consider the issues.
