Check this out. I saw the lawyer for Dolton speaking. Rumor is Dolton is $7M in the hole today. So, the question is all these lawsuits, 3 yesterday, more in the hopper, like 40 more, the old white is sitting there perplexed, saying where is the money to come from it is going to bankrupt the city for years to come. Henyard acted in her official capacity, not a dime is coming out of her pocket.
So, these people think they hurting Henyard, she will be the hero, fighting against people who want to money from
Dolton in lawsuits. I am sure Henyard will be named in the lawsuits. A mayor of any city in America has what is known as Qualified Immunity. So, in a civil lawsuit, even if she is found guilty nothing punitive can happen to her, she has immunity, and don’t be surprised, because of that, she will be dropped out the case(s).
Why? What's the point of her being a defendant? In the end if any cases re won, Dolton will pay. The question is, do they have insurance?
If they are covered then there is a saving grace. However, when this is over Dolton insurance rates will skyrocket because of the lawsuits.
In my personal opinion, from what I have seen, and I have heard the 3 lawsuit filers, I do not think they will win. The mayor has absolute power. Saying a black boss discriminated against her black employees not going to have wings to fly.
The former chief of police was pushed out by Henyard and he has some words about that. He may be one of the 3 lawsuits. Lacey was handpicked by Henyard, and he is a nasty piece of work. A lawless police officer, who happens to be chief of police!

Yeah, you right. I really didn't want to say that, but it was completely necessary. Let me tell you why.
In this story, it is about a black municipal government. You don't see all black municipal governments in the news, because they mostly govern properly. I am where I am for the last 11 years, it is a mixed government.
The town I came from was a black government. It was a typical bad black government, mayor, male, federally charged with sexual harassment. I did not know there was any white participation in the story outside the reporter for TV news.
OK, I saw a video, and it was, the old white man, this was astonishing to me, further, he said he was the one that contacted all the authorities. He is Dolton's lawyer. He elaborated how Dolton could not afford these lawsuits.
So, to me he was pivotal in this story. Talking just about what he said, both might give the picture he is just another black person involved in the story, and he isn't, I felt that was critically important.
OK, the description, how else could I have described him? Time is of the essence, and I am riding the tide of comments and I don’t have time to contemplate a description other than the one that I gave which, technically was accurate. He was grey haired, weary, and wore an aged three piece pin-stripe blue suit, with , I think, an off red type tie, he has glasses, and his demeanor was he was very, very concerned for Dolton, with the rise of these lawsuits.
Now, I am careful slinging racial prerogatives around, but in this situation, "old"; white", "man", is not derogatory or offensive. None of the words in the singular or put together are offensive, unless a racist person, is wont to think. That is, especially in the context of the writing.
So, sorry you got offended, thinking whatever got triggered in your mind, but not sorry it was simply a description I felt it was important for it to be placed in that proper context for what I was trying to communicate. Understand?
Are you familiar with Kensington Ave in Philadelphia? It is a place, and an area where Fentanyl fiends do their drugs every day. I see that you write, I defy you to watch any video on Kensington St. and accurately describe all of the types of junkie druggies lying around all over the ground, everywhere you look, freezing in their motion and other drug hustlers.

The citizens of Dolton has risen and they are fighting back, but the mayot has an armed police force she controls. So, can only go so far.

So, if I undestand you, the lawyer calling the FBI, and other for help, in this case is necesssary. The Village Board has done all it can to try and get things riht, but the mayor is too powerful.
The town of Dolton, I believe, and this only from snippets of video I have seen, is a clean town, run well, trash collected and everything else works.

They also voted to recall her after 6 months. The judge determined that it was unconstitutional because the vote to recall as well as the actual recall were on the same ballot. It was supposed to be the vote to recall and on the next ballot, the actual recall. By that time, they can just vote in another Mayor. I agree though. She was clearly obsessed with herself when she was just a trustee. I don’t trust anyone that can so freely and so often give themselves their own flowers. To hear her talk, she’s the greatest since Adam and Eve.

Withholding businesses license for no reason is. I have heard the accusations about the judge, but I don’t think so. Trustee Jason House said in an interview that the judge was just trying to do the right thing. This had never happened in Illinois before, so there wasn’t a standard set. I understand his ruling, and it makes sense. It sounds fair. It just also makes it sound like they have no recourse if they end up with a bad mayor. I think the people of Illinois have just become used to corruption and expect it from all politicians.

I don't see why getting a professional seal on your blueprints is a big deal. It might be expensive, but it indicates the highest level of architecture inspection has reviewed the plans and approved them, so it get the professional seal. I don't see why the doctor is fighting that. She has more problems than that, but that is one that, she should have already taken care of.
Business licenses are a privilege, from what I now, you had better be nice to the people you need them from. If you want to stick your chest up and say gimme da license, that may work in some places, but not in Dolton.

OK, this report is somewhat unclear. At the beginning, the anchor states/implies the MAYOR is facing 3 lawsuits. At the end of the report, the reporter states the there are about 40 lawsuits pending against the 'VILLAGE'. Are these lawsuits against her or the village? Big difference.
