Another creator said there was a leak saying $73 and everyone’s freaking out. But just so happens 73.. CAD is almost EXACTLY 50 USD. So that really leads me to think it’s gonna be 50 us because that seems to be where most collectors are willing
Been overjoyed with my Romita WebHead for years, had fun making my own "webbing" effects w/vinyl wire. That being said, one of the things that they said the loudest was: this is a brand new figure. That new tool is where the problem we will have with pricing starts. So $35-50 is it.
Imports are so high quality I dont think hasbro even knows how to do that honestly. considering their practices when it comes to Magic the Gathering I wouldnt put a $60 to $70 price tag out of the equation
$40-$50 is most likely the price which is ridiculous because the mafex spider man is basically the same price in Japanese retailers. And the whole point for marvel legends is for collectors to afford their action figures without going after imports
The idea of the ML team being as satisfied as the fans by the “full package” figure is reassuring. It does make you think this is the kind of thing they wanna do. Just nail one figure, not have to fill a whole wave of great characters with half measures and reused parts. It must get old for them as much as it does for us. There’s only so much they can ask for. $35 is an insane instant pick up. It’s around Diamond select which feels fair given the scale difference and accessory numbers and paintwork. Just have the Maximum line be $35-$40 and keep it consistent with every release like Diamond Select. Whether it’s Hulk or Daredevil or Venom, keep it $35-$40 as a new single figure that comes out maybe 2-3 times a year, and keep the stock CONSISTENT. This is a scalper’s dream if this stock is not carefully looked after. If it gets to the $50 it’s competing with other companies that do premium figures better. I could justify just paying a bit more for the import stuff. I’m never finding ML in stores now anyway.
My issue with the cost, is hasbro is already over charging for what we get, then to get what we should get the price goes up even further.. concerning.
I agree, the Spidey Sense should be yellow. I also think it should include the loose mask accessory that recently came out, and it should also have a half up mask head.
$40 looks like the right price. My biggest issue is that despite the accessories and slightly updated articulation, it LOOKS like Marvel Legends. Most of it is bare untextured plastic. You can get jada Street Fighter figures for $20 and some figuarts for $35. Anything over 40 is them being greedy, anything over $50 is a ripoff.
Hasbro did this on purpose, they know the ceiling, the imports prices, but they are scouting how much people is willing to pay through videos like this.
Yea, I’ve loved and watched shartimus prime since I was a kid, and always preferred him to Anthony customs ( still do) . I’m 18 now. as I get older tho I see shart has flaws to. Still love him but always buying stuff from Hasbro even when their way more expensive than the things should be just let’s them know they can continue to price figures we want expensively and we will still buy them. I want this fig but not for more than 40 bucks, MAXIMUM 45. But shart saying “ I think I’ll be happy with it no matter the price “ is bad since he’s one of the more well known action figure reviews out their and has a lot pull. If Hasbro sees he’s ok with it that already gives them like 30-40 percentage assurity that they can keep doing stuff like this
I do agree if it is anywhere from $34.99 to 39.99, I find it acceptable. $45.99, I can still dig it but not happy about it and if it is more than $50+ that is just insulting.
I'm going with $44.99 at least. They've got to maximize their profit because this could be the ultimate Spider-Man anyone would ever need, so that will eat into future Spider-man releases for the average collector.
$49.99, most likely. They have us right where they want us. They are justifying all of the engineering that went into this new sculpt and all the accessories (besides a base) that you would need w/ a Spidey figure. If we didn’t have solid Spidey figure offerings since the Pizza Spidey then yeah, $49.99 is unfair, but we DON’T have to buy this figure. There are great alternatives for a more affordable price.

The Mafex classic Spidey has been THE 1/12th Spidey FOREVER, but this guy looks like it’s about to be a major contender for the definitive 1/12th Spidey figure. As someone who doesn’t care about sculpted weblines (I actually think they don’t even look that great on a comic book style Spider-Man) and just loves how Marvel Legends handle quality and paint tech, a $50 figure that outdoes the $100+ Mafex sounds perfect! They even gave us my favorite Spider-Man design OAT: McFarlane’s!
A "new/tweaked" body with import count accessories. Hasbro can ask for at least half what Mafex charges. It's going to be $44.99 - $49.99 and I think that's fair. And being Canadian means we'll be paying $84.99
Phoenix was $49.99 so MAXIMUM Spider-Man is going to be $49.99. Hasbro has already tested the waters last year with Odin, Hulk-Buster, Lockjaw/Crystal and Phoenix. They were teasing price increases and everyone was supporting it. When the Wolverine/Sabertooth pack was released at a higher price than the other two packs, our fates were sealed😢
Honestly, the price will be whatever and it’ll sell really well. To have a really iconic spider-man made for photography and posing- it’ll sell. I’m not saying we have to accept whatever is thrown at us, but I may likely look to pick this up to have as my main spidey. At one point I had three toybiz McFarlane SpiderMan figures because I just loved it so much at the time.
By taking into consideration that the PS5 Spidey on RYV body was $35 and it had incomplete hands and no alternate heads and reused web effects, I expect this Maximum one to be between $45-$50. It's all new stuff so it would be reasonable but I wouldn't be surprised if it was beyond $50. Speaking of Maximum series, If Spidey figure becomes a hit, I would want their next character in that line to be Hulk. We need a new, awesome Hulk THAT CAN ACTUALLY DO A THUNDERCLAP POSE. Like come on, it's been so long, we need a Hulk figure to be able to pull off his most iconic attack!

IMO, $30 is the market value for what we’re getting here compared to what we get from other companies at that price point. But my bets are, because it’s Hasbro, is that it’ll be $50-$60.
No matter the price, except for anything above 60, I say the figure is worth it just for the amount of articulation and the amount of accessories alone. I really excited to see this series do characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, Daredevil, Punisher, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and especially Thor.
The sculpt and proportions were what jumped out at me first. Its a Marvel legends that has a true traditional comic book super hero sculpt. Im hoping its not over $35. Storm just listed their Baki Arena figure. $25, comparable or better articulation and paint, brand new sculpt, and about half the accessories: 6 hands 3 heads and a stand. If Hasbro wants to remain competitive and not just hope the brand will carry them, theyve gotta start putting out a better product for the money. $35 is my comfort range and it looks like a deluxe, $50 and Im out. Its like those NBA figures that just didnt have a market to support the price. At $50, i think they're crossing the line into competing with people buying stuff like the Mafex which honestly is still a twice as good figure.

I think it would be push to $50 to 60. Because it lot of accessories, extra hands and head and look at the articulation, it really looking good like MAFEX do. However in terms of shipping costs and delivery, probably it cost a lot with this figure unless I pre-order it on Hasbro pulse. But let see if the maximum series is a worth buying because well, this is Hasbro not MAFEX.

I thought it was designed by Rene Aldrete. I think he confirmed it on instagram. If they go to $50 or past it, they would set themselves for failure as a domestic line. A real good Doc Ock could be $50, but not this Spidey.
This would be the first spidey fig I would get. I had passed up many but this one has gotten my attention. That said, I really hope it doesn’t pass the $40 range but if it does, meh, I’ll still get it. But of course I’ll be upset about it.

They can't even give running hands with Quicksilver. $25 for a running figure with no running hands, no effects, no alternate head, no BAF part, no overlay, not much paint, and on an outdated body. That's too much as it is. Every figure should have the "maximum" amount of accessories for just $25. Hasbro needs to do better if they want more money.
If we're talking Canadian prices i wouldnt be surprised if this figure is actually be around 50-60 dollars, or maybe even closer to $70. The base figures are up to around $35.99 plus tax for most stores, which is starting to get a little crazy considering the lack of accessories and lack of paint and whatever else they miss out on. I wonder if they're going to just say "Oh well this one is special so it worth more" type deal. not to metnion im sure the scalpers will be all over it so paying retail price may not even be possible to begin with.
So many have already mirrored my thoughts (as have you, Shart!). I'd LOVE if it was $35; I personally see it being more $40-$45. If they try to go $50+, it's going to be hard to justify me getting it. Would I love to? Absolutely - the Legends team has not been putting out much that's gotten me hyped. OG Banshee and this Spider-Man have me excited; but it has to be the right price.

I personally would love to see some Goblin's (the Phil Urich Goblin with Glider, the Osborn Goblin with his super thin Goblin Glider and maybe a Hobgoblin with his own Glider). With that accessory, they would have to be Deluxe Figures.
I feel the same on the prices. And my only problems with the fig are the one-eyed slight squinting head? Which looks more like the eyes were mis-molded or weirdly designed and the height of the web-effect stand.
I think it'll be $35, but it's infuriating me a little people saying they'd be okay with $50+, Hasbro is gonna be listening and feel justified upping their price. $35 is already a lot, it's still a (very good) base figure with extra accessories. Movie Carnage was a big fig with unique sculpt, that didn't clear $40.

I think 30-35 would be ok more than that I pass. for one thing 😅 honestly I don't know who it would be for me or my son; I might have to buy 2 🤷 the accessories are great/ I have a 3D printer. the articulation seems great/ I have never bought a MAFEX (CT Wolverine is closest), or Mezco, or SHFiguarts. like if the price, as you said, gets to be $60+ that puts me in 'do I need another Spiderman' territory. and then if so, you know, I can get a premium import, (especially used) for not that much more. I don't have any specific loyalty to Hasbro; this Maximum series could convince me that I should have "all the goods" including knees that are still pretty when they're bent. $35 is +40% $50 is +100% there's a lot of stuff from Loose Collector and Mythic Legions and Storm collectable, and even Transformers Masterpiece that I'm interested in. if I want a hundred dollar toy, there are others waiting.
Realistically, I wouldn’t be surprised by 39.99 - 44.99. $50 is my ceiling; I get the tooling, extra plastic for accessories, Hasbro wanting to make an extra buck, etc., but $50 is pushing it. I won’t like it if I have to pay that much, but I’ll accept it. anything higher than $50 and I’ll say “See you next Tuesday, Hasbro” and stick with my Mafex wall-crawler. I would love it at anything below 39.99 and would consider that a bargain, but something inside tells me that with likelihood of preorders selling out, FOMO being less of a possibility and more of a reality (unless the restock FAST), and everything they’re packing in, I don’t think that’ll happen.
My bet is on $39.99 My max is $45 before taxes and S&H It's worth mentioning that I anticipate that mold/buck eventually being re-used to do more Spideys in alt colorways, and those will [hopefully] be more standard releases with less accessories and a lower price point, so I'm not eager to overspend on this one.
What sucks the most is that, man... that really is a very well made figure! And rumors say Hulk will be next. I might not be willing to spend over $50 for a Spidey figurr, but for Hulk I might do so. Gonna be pissed, but might do so.
For some context, the reissue of Prof. X with the hover chair will retail for $50 when it comes out later this year. There's no doubt this Spiderman will be $50 as well.
If they pay attention to their other lines...$45+ only works if the pack contains a second figure or a vehicle. I'd wait for a sale or skip entirely at $50. $34.99-$40 is probably right. Classified Heavy Duty is packed out with stuff at that price. The Angel figure and the New Captian America MCU stuff all coming with decent arrays of accessories at that price point😊
Remember that iron man with proton canon they made a year or so back, he was like 45 bucks so I’m guessing this Spider-Man will be around the 45-50 dollar range.
If it’s over 35, I’ll be already pissed, I won’t accept more than 40… that’s what I paid for the Mafex one, plus shipping and taxes it was 55 total; having in mind the difference between the mentioned figures in terms of product category and quality , for me it’s out of discussion. Also, after seeing this Spidey and Daken in the announcements, I cannot avoid to think about this as an indirect response to CT products 😂
I think $40 is completely fair, it offers stuff that no other Spider-Man figure has, like un-gloved hands and a spider-sense effect, but it's not an import figure, so I'd be more than satisfied if it's $40
Comparing to Sh figuarts basic figures which are generally $35, I'd say $35 to $40 is the sweet spot for this Spider-man. $45 and up, is overpricing it. And would be killing what could be a great line. This is what people want when they get a figure, an fully articulated figure with lots of accessories. But comparing to other lines. The market says this figure set should be about $35 to $40.
Too and that's pushing it is 40. But at 40 that figure should be able to almost put it's head between his tights. And be able to fold into a pretzel. The thing with Superman has always been flexibility. If they can give us that then I'll say up to 40. Meaning 39.99 is ok.
Here's the thing: the figure brings nothing new in terms of articulation, other than the two-piece neck. But other than that it's same basic ML articulation. Had they given the shoulder full rotation at the butterfly where he's able to shrug up and down, and a ball jointed hip/pelvis like their Classified Series figures, while not new overall but new to ML, it would have been incredible. I guess if you count the extra detachable forearms that counts as an articulation point since the forearm would rotate. So, with that said my initial guesstimate was $35. But while talking with other fellow collectors they said $40-45 which for me seems too much. But $40 seems like the sweet spot. $50 would piss off many but they would still bite the bullet and buy one. At $35 I would buy 3 for customizing purposes. At $40-45 I'd only get 2. At $50 no way I'm getting multiples. $50 doesnt justify the price just for a new mold, a couple of new articulation features an extra head and some cheap plastic accessories.

No sculpted/recessed weblines in the figure means it should not be anymore than $35 and even that is too high for what should be our bare minimum expectations of a spidey fig

They might place it at $39.99 like the deluxe Captain America MCU figure that just came out and that Deathshead figure, which is also considered deluxe. If they stay in the $40 range for this, the next one for the Hulk, will be more. I believe Marvel Legends is trying to take back the market taken over by the KO Mafex figures.
Could have sworn Mr. Dan also sculpted the first Marvel universe Spider-Man figure from the beginning of the line 3.75 in. Looks to be also designed off of the McFarland Spider-Man.

Phoenix was $49.99 so MAXIMUM Spider-Man is going to be $49.99. Hasbro has already tested the waters last year with Odin, Hulk-Buster, Lockjaw/Crystal and Phoenix. They were teasing price increases and everyone was supporting it. When the Wolverine/Sabertooth pack was released at a higher price than the other two packs, our fates were sealed😢
Honestly, the price will be whatever and it’ll sell really well. To have a really iconic spider-man made for photography and posing- it’ll sell.
I’m not saying we have to accept whatever is thrown at us, but I may likely look to pick this up to have as my main spidey. At one point I had three toybiz McFarlane SpiderMan figures because I just loved it so much at the time.
By taking into consideration that the PS5 Spidey on RYV body was $35 and it had incomplete hands and no alternate heads and reused web effects, I expect this Maximum one to be between $45-$50.
It's all new stuff so it would be reasonable but I wouldn't be surprised if it was beyond $50.
Speaking of Maximum series, If Spidey figure becomes a hit, I would want their next character in that line to be Hulk.
We need a new, awesome Hulk THAT CAN ACTUALLY DO A THUNDERCLAP POSE.

@@ne0nsunlite916I highly doubt it. That has never been a problem with any of the other video game figures. Hasbro just wanted to phone in a release and artificially inflate the price by adding a bunch of reused web accessories.
IMO, $30 is the market value for what we’re getting here compared to what we get from other companies at that price point.
But my bets are, because it’s Hasbro, is that it’ll be $50-$60.

No matter the price, except for anything above 60, I say the figure is worth it just for the amount of articulation and the amount of accessories alone. I really excited to see this series do characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, Daredevil, Punisher, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and especially Thor.
The sculpt and proportions were what jumped out at me first. Its a Marvel legends that has a true traditional comic book super hero sculpt. Im hoping its not over $35. Storm just listed their Baki Arena figure. $25, comparable or better articulation and paint, brand new sculpt, and about half the accessories: 6 hands 3 heads and a stand. If Hasbro wants to remain competitive and not just hope the brand will carry them, theyve gotta start putting out a better product for the money. $35 is my comfort range and it looks like a deluxe, $50 and Im out. Its like those NBA figures that just didnt have a market to support the price. At $50, i think they're crossing the line into competing with people buying stuff like the Mafex which honestly is still a twice as good figure.
This is the same company that charged $35 for a PS5 Spider-Man that came with much fewer accessories. This is screaming $50 to me. I wish it was more like $35 to be sure, but, realistically, I know that’s not gonna happen.
Will be the first ml fig i buy in years. Been resisting no matter how good the reveals and reviews were. But this will pull me back and probably a lot of others.
I think it would be push to $50 to 60. Because it lot of accessories, extra hands and head and look at the articulation, it really looking good like MAFEX do. However in terms of shipping costs and delivery, probably it cost a lot with this figure unless I pre-order it on Hasbro pulse. But let see if the maximum series is a worth buying because well, this is Hasbro not MAFEX.

I thought it was designed by Rene Aldrete. I think he confirmed it on instagram. If they go to $50 or past it, they would set themselves for failure as a domestic line. A real good Doc Ock could be $50, but not this Spidey.

This would be the first spidey fig I would get. I had passed up many but this one has gotten my attention. That said, I really hope it doesn’t pass the $40 range but if it does, meh, I’ll still get it. But of course I’ll be upset about it.
I think $35 is honestly where it should be but knowing Hasbro I'll say $40. Anymore and Hasbro is risking sabotaging the subline. We're supposed to be getting a Hulk too in the line. What would he be if we're looking at $50 for a Spidey? $80-$100?!
They can't even give running hands with Quicksilver. $25 for a running figure with no running hands, no effects, no alternate head, no BAF part, no overlay, not much paint, and on an outdated body. That's too much as it is. Every figure should have the "maximum" amount of accessories for just $25. Hasbro needs to do better if they want more money.
If we're talking Canadian prices i wouldnt be surprised if this figure is actually be around 50-60 dollars, or maybe even closer to $70. The base figures are up to around $35.99 plus tax for most stores, which is starting to get a little crazy considering the lack of accessories and lack of paint and whatever else they miss out on. I wonder if they're going to just say "Oh well this one is special so it worth more" type deal. not to metnion im sure the scalpers will be all over it so paying retail price may not even be possible to begin with.
If anyone buys this and they were unhappy with the price then they're part of the problem. Hasbro only responds to your wallet.

Hasbro is a multimillionaire business. They care about money, not what the consumers want.
So many have already mirrored my thoughts (as have you, Shart!). I'd LOVE if it was $35; I personally see it being more $40-$45. If they try to go $50+, it's going to be hard to justify me getting it. Would I love to? Absolutely - the Legends team has not been putting out much that's gotten me hyped. OG Banshee and this Spider-Man have me excited; but it has to be the right price.

I personally would love to see some Goblin's (the Phil Urich Goblin with Glider, the Osborn Goblin with his super thin Goblin Glider and maybe a Hobgoblin with his own Glider). With that accessory, they would have to be Deluxe Figures.

I feel the same on the prices. And my only problems with the fig are the one-eyed slight squinting head? Which looks more like the eyes were mis-molded or weirdly designed and the height of the web-effect stand.

I think it'll be $35, but it's infuriating me a little people saying they'd be okay with $50+, Hasbro is gonna be listening and feel justified upping their price. $35 is already a lot, it's still a (very good) base figure with extra accessories. Movie Carnage was a big fig with unique sculpt, that didn't clear $40.

the accessories are great/ I have a 3D printer.
the articulation seems great/ I have never bought a MAFEX (CT Wolverine is closest), or Mezco, or SHFiguarts.
like if the price, as you said, gets to be $60+ that puts me in 'do I need another Spiderman' territory. and then if so, you know, I can get a premium import, (especially used) for not that much more. I don't have any specific loyalty to Hasbro; this Maximum series could convince me that I should have "all the goods" including knees that are still pretty when they're bent.

there's a lot of stuff from Loose Collector and Mythic Legions and Storm collectable, and even Transformers Masterpiece that I'm interested in. if I want a hundred dollar toy, there are others waiting.

Realistically, I wouldn’t be surprised by 39.99 - 44.99. $50 is my ceiling; I get the tooling, extra plastic for accessories, Hasbro wanting to make an extra buck, etc., but $50 is pushing it. I won’t like it if I have to pay that much, but I’ll accept it. anything higher than $50 and I’ll say “See you next Tuesday, Hasbro” and stick with my Mafex wall-crawler. I would love it at anything below 39.99 and would consider that a bargain, but something inside tells me that with likelihood of preorders selling out, FOMO being less of a possibility and more of a reality (unless the restock FAST), and everything they’re packing in, I don’t think that’ll happen.

It's worth mentioning that I anticipate that mold/buck eventually being re-used to do more Spideys in alt colorways, and those will [hopefully] be more standard releases with less accessories and a lower price point, so I'm not eager to overspend on this one.

What sucks the most is that, man... that really is a very well made figure! And rumors say Hulk will be next. I might not be willing to spend over $50 for a Spidey figurr, but for Hulk I might do so. Gonna be pissed, but might do so.
For some context, the reissue of Prof. X with the hover chair will retail for $50 when it comes out later this year. There's no doubt this Spiderman will be $50 as well.
If they pay attention to their other lines...$45+ only works if the pack contains a second figure or a vehicle. I'd wait for a sale or skip entirely at $50. $34.99-$40 is probably right. Classified Heavy Duty is packed out with stuff at that price. The Angel figure and the New Captian America MCU stuff all coming with decent arrays of accessories at that price point😊
Remember that iron man with proton canon they made a year or so back, he was like 45 bucks so I’m guessing this Spider-Man will be around the 45-50 dollar range.

If it’s over 35, I’ll be already pissed, I won’t accept more than 40… that’s what I paid for the Mafex one, plus shipping and taxes it was 55 total; having in mind the difference between the mentioned figures in terms of product category and quality , for me it’s out of discussion. Also, after seeing this Spidey and Daken in the announcements, I cannot avoid to think about this as an indirect response to CT products 😂

I think $40 is completely fair, it offers stuff that no other Spider-Man figure has, like un-gloved hands and a spider-sense effect, but it's not an import figure, so I'd be more than satisfied if it's $40
Comparing to Sh figuarts basic figures which are generally $35, I'd say $35 to $40 is the sweet spot for this Spider-man.
$45 and up, is overpricing it. And would be killing what could be a great line.
This is what people want when they get a figure, an fully articulated figure with lots of accessories.
But comparing to other lines. The market says this figure set should be about $35 to $40.

Too and that's pushing it is 40. But at 40 that figure should be able to almost put it's head between his tights. And be able to fold into a pretzel. The thing with Superman has always been flexibility. If they can give us that then I'll say up to 40. Meaning 39.99 is ok.
Here's the thing: the figure brings nothing new in terms of articulation, other than the two-piece neck. But other than that it's same basic ML articulation. Had they given the shoulder full rotation at the butterfly where he's able to shrug up and down, and a ball jointed hip/pelvis like their Classified Series figures, while not new overall but new to ML, it would have been incredible. I guess if you count the extra detachable forearms that counts as an articulation point since the forearm would rotate. So, with that said my initial guesstimate was $35. But while talking with other fellow collectors they said $40-45 which for me seems too much. But $40 seems like the sweet spot. $50 would piss off many but they would still bite the bullet and buy one. At $35 I would buy 3 for customizing purposes. At $40-45 I'd only get 2. At $50 no way I'm getting multiples. $50 doesnt justify the price just for a new mold, a couple of new articulation features an extra head and some cheap plastic accessories.

Gonna say the same thing I said on unparalleled’s post! Neca provides sculpt, paint, and accessories for around $35, so if this exceeds that prices than something wrong is going on.. I understand these figures have more articulation but that shouldn’t warrant anything over $40 imo..
No sculpted/recessed weblines in the figure means it should not be anymore than $35 and even that is too high for what should be our bare minimum expectations of a spidey fig

They might place it at $39.99 like the deluxe Captain America MCU figure that just came out and that Deathshead figure, which is also considered deluxe. If they stay in the $40 range for this, the next one for the Hulk, will be more. I believe Marvel Legends is trying to take back the market taken over by the KO Mafex figures.

Could have sworn Mr. Dan also sculpted the first Marvel universe Spider-Man figure from the beginning of the line 3.75 in. Looks to be also designed off of the McFarland Spider-Man.
I just hope they keep it considerate of the customer. $34.99 is sufficient. They’ll make a killing… it doesn’t need to be higher than that. If it’s $29.99 I’ll simply cry… because as a working stuff, with family and bills to pay. I think a lot of us out here need a break. But it is what it is….
I think 35 would be perfect! 40 is pushing it. Anything beyond that, I'll wait for the clearance sale as I enjoy the multiple Spidey figs in my collection. If I don't get,that's fine also. I said this everywhere. There is no way Maximum Spider-man should cost more than a GI Joe Classified Deluxe. But I remember they wanted $36 for that new PS2 Spidey. Forget what he is called. But he was obnoxiously expensive for just that.
