Hi my friend, great work !!. Have a qiestion, Im about to get a yamaha amplifier RN602 im looking for a great sound, do you think I should consider this WXA 50 amplifier ?? As i understand wxa50 can be used to cordless speakers in diferent rooms? Eath is the diference between them ? Regards!!
Been using the WXA-50 for 5 months now with 3020i and yesterday for the first time I noticed that the amp is sending out a very mild but noticeable static noise on the speakers when AUX is selected. Does your unit do the same? Is this supposed to happen?
This streamer was very early in the market. Lots of in/outs and has been versatile as I change systems. The DAC is perhaps the weakness link of the unit. I’m not sure if Yamaha supports or upgrades it any longer.
Hey I know this video is a few years old now, but I have a question. I have a BOSE Sounddock 10 and my brother also has one he no longer uses. Being 'powered' speakers, can I use the WXC to run them both ..? and maybe a subwoofer too ..?
Hi, video is great! I have a question about the wxc-50 though. I have a Rotel whole-house amplifier. Specifically, it's a RMB-1512, and I was wondering if I could connect the wxc-50 and add music cast. Thank you.
I believe that the Rotel RMB-1512 has 6 line level inputs, so ideally you'd use 6 WXC50s. Within the App, you can take a photo of each of those 6 zones, so that any user will find navigation easy and you'd have discrete control on each zone.
Hi, Great video !! I would like to ask question, I have ADCOM GFA 545 MK2 Power amplifier, can I connect the WXC 50 to use as pre amp ? Does the WXA amp can be use as pre amp as well ?
Hey there. Yes to both questions. Like many Yammie amplifiers, both the C50 and A50 have a Sabre ESS DAC on board, so more specifically, the ESS Sabre 9006S 32-bit DAC. A very capable DAC and a good pre-amp for your 2 channel power amp.
Hey. Like most streaming devices, you can use DLNA or bluetooth, but there's no google play support. In fact, I don't think it's on the roadmap either. At this time, Tidal and Deezer are built within the App. Spotify launches from within the MusicCast App. Spotify might be built within the App in the future, but no word yet.
Got a ? If i am using the yamaha wxc-50 as a preamp and im using optical out to my system. Does the volume control knob control the volume coming out of optical. I want to run my stereo fully digital all the way to my power amps
and another very annoying thing - yamaha app - volume up, only around 30% of the volume bar actually work (you can hear "loudness difference"). AND its frickin laggy - if you hold down volume button on your phone while streaming for more then half a second to turn music up it will all of the sudden go all the way up !@#*$^& Perfect way to cause someone's heart attack if speakers are powerful enough.
You can change the ‘lag’ in the app settings. It’s called ‘volume fade control’. It is designed to stop people from swiping the whole way up and blowing themselves (and their speakers) away. Volume controls on decent HiFi gear are typically logorhythmic (sp?) so they ramp up at the end. This is by design.
Great presentation! Now I understand how each work thoroughly. Thank you!!

Which speakers would you recommend for WXA 50 - Dali Spektor 2 or Q ACOUSTICS Q 3020i or Monitor audio monitor 100. Thank you

Radio Parts Hi...Great thanks,
So the WXA will be better buying , can yo you please explain how to connect to my power amp? Thank you very much.
Do you think the WXA-50 would be ok to run a pair of Jamo pro 400ex speakers or should I go the WXC-50 route with a power amp ?
At 400W of power, we'd definitely recommend the WXC-50 and dedicated power amp route!
Can i connect wxa-50 with wxc-50 ?
can it cast music from google play on android? you mentioned only spotify

Absolutely it does, as long as it is in Pre Amp mode with the switch on the back of the unit.
