Except Peter has constantly been a good looking man in the comics. Idk why everyone thinks he’s supposed to look like a nerd his entire life. He had that look kind of in the early 60s comics but since then, he’s been a hot guy.

Maybe it's just the hair and the glasses but Tom really does seem like he's grown up so much since he started playing Spider-Man. Even his recent interviews have such a different vibe. It still feels like he started playing the character so recently but it's already been over half a decade, so wild.

Tom Holland and Henry Cavill sitting next to each other on the Graham Norton show made me flash back to my old Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (the original DC/Marvel crossover comic from 1976). Now I really want to see that done as live-action -- maybe not the exact plot, maybe just a little nod to it in some UA-cam cross-promotional feel-good piece when Marvel and DC are both releasing movies for which it'd be relevant. But I'd really love to see Holland and Cavill interacting in-character.
Is that the one where Doc Ock and Lex Luthor team up in prison and Spidey and Supes has to work together to beat them?

It would be more DC vs Mavel, but then they would team up and battle a common enemy sort of scenerio.

Lex Luthor applies some kind of "red sun aura" field to Spider-Man (without him knowing about it) so that Superman's invulnerability is nullified a fraction of an inch before Spidey's fist or foot makes contact, so Spidey's punches connect with real effect. It wears off just as Spidey does a rolling, vaulting double kick square onto Superman's chest -- and ricochets to the ground. Spidey just lays there for a sec with WTF look on his face (since he didn't know Superman was supposed to be invulnerable, he just assumed he was regular bulletproof-tough and got talked up to sound uber-tough by Lois Lane).
Doc Ock turns on Luthor after he realizes Luthor's really going to use his doomsday device (he told Doc Ock it was a bluff to extort money -- Ock was down to steal money but killing millions of people by setting off worldwide coast-devastating hurricanes and typhoons was right out of bounds).
@@woodrobin That's great! I haven't read that in a long time. I mostly remember Lex Luthor having concealed some electronic equipment under a false layer of skin on his arm, which he uses to modify the speaker system in jail to break out.

Tom Holland is certainly not even remotely close to being ugly or unattractive, but I think what that driver was probably trying to get across is that he certainly looked at nineteen - and still looks - a lot more realistically like a teenager than some other actors. He doesn’t look like a super model or a thirty year old man, but like a more down to earth, reasonably attractive young person.
That being said, it makes me laugh because literally everyone and their mother is always talking about how cute he is - even if they’re not MCU fans - and if Tom Holland is “ugly,” then I sure as heck don’t want to know what people would consider me lol.

I think the taxi driver was spot on, Tom Holland has that boyish, nerdish charm about him, which makes him perfect for Spider-man. Just look at Andrew Garfield, a lot of people hated him being Spider-man because they thought he was too good looking, he lacked the nerd factor, and it's why many still think Tobey Maguire as the best Spider-man, because he was literally the poster child for nerd who got bullied at school.

Reminds me of an issue of the Spider-Man comic when the Kingpin's men managed to capture and KO Spider-Man. With much fanfare Kingpin says he's now going to unmask the great Spider-Man, and when he does, everybody is a little disappointed. One henchman says "who is this?" while the other says "I couldn't pick him out of a crowd."
The point being that Peter Parker is a completely nondescript looking kid from Queens.
I'm sure Zendaya finds him attractive enough.
