Homecoming: the story of the Blavatnik Honresfield Library

In 2022, one of the most significant literary collections in the UK’s history was purchased for the nation by the Friends of the National Libraries.
The Blavatnik Honresfield Library contains important manuscripts and rare editions of works by Jane Austen, Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and the Brontë siblings. For the first time in almost a century, these works are now accessible to the public, having been distributed to cultural institutions across the UK.
This documentary charts the course of the extraordinary acquisition, highlighting some of the most precious items in the collection and their new homes.
