This version of tin foil is easily the finest I've heard. It just has this perfectly somber feeling that isn't in the original
He continues to find endless sound to pull out of his violin. The universe is a better place because of this...
Arte
And out of his whistle
simply beautiful, no words can do This guy justice in his creative way of relaying the inner most parts of his heart, mind and soul, out there for the whole world to see... I only wish i could be that brave. Hs music comes strait from the heart.

I'm so glad you learned how to tune that thing finally. I love the rain. It rained the whole concert. End of a long dry spell. Wish I could have seen you before you left. Won't be the sea won't be quite the same.

My dog loves Andrew Bird. Nothing hits quite like a whistle solo for a golden retriever.
You must post a video of that.
Andrew Bird has no "filler" music, every song is a masterpiece and beautifully unique.
Andrew you and your band are the best of what music is. Thank you so much for coming to Milwaukee last night!!
Andrew Bird can not be over-rated. His music is like the spirit of joie de vivre. Bonus- his guitar accompaniment, Madison Cunningham, is a fantastic breakout musician in her own right.
Seeing him live is on my bucket list.
As an Andrew Bird fan for give or take 15 years, this year I finally crossed this off my bucket list on this summers tour... and instantly added "one more time" to said list.
@@schteenzor You'll have to keep adding him to the list. An incredible artist!
Same - Lord knows if/when he'll come to the UK though!
I just recently did that in Phoenix! He and Iron & Wine make a good pair.

holy crap.. she is perfect!
This is the real music
I keep saying this everytime I watch his performance, this bass dude is the best bass player in the music business
This man is an angel, no one can convince me otherwise!
A genius. Spirited, brave, protesting in the gentlest and the most noble and beautiful way, one of my very favorite artists, period. I cry, I learn this beautiful language, and I think profound things with him. I must see him live
This version of Capsized is superbly gnarly
Stunned! First time to hear this magnificence.
Caught this show live at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan.
It was utterly FANTASTIC. Madison's set was wonderful too.
Andrew Bird has quickly become one of my favorite artists lately - having had the time to peruse his fantastic material and awesome talent has been a true gift! ☮️❤️🙂🎶😷🎼🤘
I agree completely...I keep listening to this over and over...incredible
Thank You Andrew for your songs and commitment to humanities story telling. You do it beautifully. A
I was there and it was glorious! The audience went wild after every song and the duets with Madison were quite something! My 2nd time seeing Andrew Bird and I hope to see him again in the future!!!!
I was at the show in Boston a few days before this. I had gone to see Iron and Wine and was underwhelmed by them that evening. Luckily we decided to stick around, and I was absolutely blown away.
Cool! I saw him in Edinburgh few years ago, and before in Glasgow 2007. Amazing...
theinfideluk I didn’t know that he’d toured in Scotland! Need to look out for the next time 🏴
1st time I ever heard this guy and I really like it. It's not like the usual crap you hear on the radio, not that I listen to crap on the radio that often but, you know what I mean.
David Rees it’s what should be on the radio
@@karliegilbert3917 Hi! You can tune into KCRW from Los Angeles if you want to hear some of his music from time to time! -wink-
This video was made by the most popular radio station in Minnesota, The Current
Hands down, one of the best shows I've ever attended. I am so, so glad that The Current recorded it and continues to make it available to watch here so I can relive that glorious night whenever I want!
I came across Mr Bird in his collaboration with Mountain and Wine., around two months ago. Luckiest guy on the planet me. He is all kinds of glorious. I so envy y'all in America. UK here.
Love Andrew and friends
Wonderful show and an incredible album (My Finest Work Yet). Andrew's and Maddie's voices together are just pure magic.
This must have been the best live performance in the way he thread the songs together in a full piece. Wonderful!
this entire concert lives on my youtube recent page rent free, i swear i must listen to it in full at least once a week now lol
It's always Don the Struggle for me. Probably the most talented artists I listen to and yet for me I just can't get over that song, especially the solo at the end.
It was the best show I have seen live in my life. I am not a hyperbole guy, genuine truth. I am so excited they put the whole concert online. Listen to the Gentle on Mind cover near the end.
Tyler Shaw I agree. I’ve seen a lot of artists live, he has now made the number 1 slot.
Brilliant performance,my favorite album by far.Loving Andrew Bird and his band here in New Zealand!
This man is so freaking good 🔥 And that new record is full of bangers and beautifully crafted songs. Absolutely awesome
Incredibly smooth
You have stolen my heart and returned it to the faith of symphonic love to all planetary star systems. Thank you for your beauty, harmony and artistic vision.
❤️ To you and miss Madison Cunningham’s band.

So glad you saw it! Thanks for the kind comment, and for watching with us. Now.... get some sleep!
This 1 hour 22

How the fuck only 2k people like this??? The world may really end soon.
Comon railroad Bill is insanely tight. How does this not have a million views???
oh my gosh I absolutely adore andrew bird and the band; I expected to split up watching this concert into several sessions but I ended up watching the entire thing while I drew
thanks so much for this concert
The introduction of the band is so beautiful.
An amazingly talented man with a fine band... I own all of his albums but I;ve never seen him live.. Great to hear music that is REAL music played with such panache.
How is My Finest Work Yet not in the convo for album of the year? Haven't seen anyone talking about this & it's a triumphant musical work. This performance is absolutely stellar too.
Really like this..............
In fact I love this vibe...
52:42 [Manifest] Man love the jammy live version, and just what a masterpiece. Finest work yet indeed, but knowing Andy Obtuse the next one will top this yet again!
“Long love terrestrial radio.” Indeed sir
Amazing performance. So clean. Beautifully orchestrated.
ty to the Current
for keeping me on my toes with an open mind
much to what you do-me
This is *almost* as good as being there. I was lucky enough to be present at the first show of this tour in Pittsburgh, PA. Everybody's souls dropped into their feet when she began to sing in Lusitania.
P.S. Andrew Bird's work on Baskets was magic. He has tapped into his highest self. Much love!
Yesss, I was also at the Pittsburgh show and I was just floored that I was getting to see Andrew Bird at such an intimate venue. We went right up to the very front and stayed there the whole night, and I swear Madison looked over and smiled at us once or twice when they were around the single mic, haha. Just discovered this video now and it was like reliving the experience, what an incredible night that was!
I saw them in Berlin when they started touring and this show sounds so much better.
So much talent in one room
Have no Words! I am sold!❤
Railroad Bill, especially this version became an instant favorite.
has to be the best version of orpheo i've had the pleasure of listening to. amazing show!!!!!!!!
Truly a creative force coupled with musical mastery! Right on keep it going strong and subtle Andrew Bird!
this made my afternoon happy...❤
Maravilloso trabajo! No comprendo la letra pero llega absolutamente hasta mí el espíritu de tu música! Gracias y ojalá vengas pronto por España de nuevo!!
damn that intro is so beautiful! you can hear him play some parts from ‘The Supine’ and the beginning of ‘Effigy’
two songs from two of my favorite albums. brought a tear to my eye when i heard it…
:’)
also the intro is reminiscent of ‘Ethio Invention’ as a whole..
What else can be said? He's a freakin' genius! ❤
Keep coming back to this version of Pulaski at Night, the harmonies are so good
The looping takes in one shot!!!
and how they are used!!
i love it
Absolutely Wonderful,
Il existe encore de vrais musiciens. Et vous en faites partie. Bravo à vous et à votre troupe.❤
Absolutely amazing!
WOW, what a great band.
Nice! Was at the cleveland show. Love how every performance of his is somewhat different.
Mad we didn't get tin foil
De France, je vous découvre et écoute... C'est Bien ! Merci pour ce beau moment musical
Saw the show in Phonenix, the last of the run, fabulous, the band was really the best and everyone played off each other, hope to catch the next round of music!
The violin bit at the end of Don the Struggle, my god.
Utterly fantastically sublime.
I missed his show in Phoenix tonight so I came here to watch it. I've watched it twice now and I'll always be mad at myself for missing an A. Bird show.
This is music.
Accoustic Wonder. Thank you
I still gets chills hearing parts.
한국에서의 팬 1인~~good!!
Ascension music as always, thank you Mr Bird and band
Piel de gallina, real music ♥️
I have seen hin a dozen times since 1999 bowl of fire days
This version of "Gentle On My Mind" (1:49:40) is so good and I love singing along to it, so I typed up the lyrics in case anyone else wants to sing along too.
"Gentle On My Mind"
It's knowin' that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to leave my sleepin' bag rolled up
And stashed behind your couch
And it's knowin' I'm not shackled by forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that have dried upon some lines
It keeps me on the back road by the rivers of my memory
It keeps you ever gentle on my mind
It's not clingin' to the rocks and ivy
Painted on their columns now that bind me
Or somethin' that somebody said
Because they thought we fit together walkin'
And it's knowin' that the world will not be cursin' or forgivin'
When I walk along some railroad track and find
And you're movin' on the back roads by the rivers of my memory
Ever smilin' ever gentle on my mind
Though the wheat fields and the clotheslines
And the junkyards and the highways come between us
And some other woman's cryin' to her mother
So she turned and I was gone
Well I still might run in silence tears of joy might stain my face
And the summer sun might burn me till I'm blind
But not so that I cannot see you movin' on the back roads
Ever smilin' ever gentle on my mind
It's the shadowed creek and autumn leaves that make me turn inside myself in silence
Cross legged now I sit and watch the endless chase of leaves across my yard
And layin' down my hair brush I lean back within my window seat and find
That you're movin' on the back roads by the rivers of my memory
Ever smilin' ever gentle on my mind
With cupped hands 'round a tin can
I pretend to hold you to my breast and find
That you're wavin' from the back roads by the rivers of my memories
Ever smilin', ever gentle on my mind
I have tears just by reading the lyrics. So beautiful...
Thank you so much for typing the beautiful lyrics.
I've been a huge fan of Andrew Bird(nearly two decades) but English is not my first language so it's daunting to understand all the lyrics.
Thanks to you I could savor the beautiful poem sung by Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham.
Shout out to John Hartford!
The 2nd part of this concert is pure class - Madison and him should do an album properly.. That would, in Americanese, be the shit!
Three white horses is a song I aspire to as a musician, specifically this version. The end is glorious..
I wish Andrew and Madison would release a recording of their Gentle On My Mind duet 1:49:41 ... so beautiful
Don the struggle 🤩
awesome!!!💚
un recital sublime. sin desperdicios. andrew bird es lo mejor del momento. felicitaciones
!!!!!!!!!!!!Marry me, Andrew Bird!!!!!!!!!!
this is Fine Art
amazing
Never heard a better whistler, and I don't like whistling usually. He makes it sound like an extension of his voice. So cool.
love it
Great!
WOOOOOWWWW, I stumbled on this on an auto play, starting with TOO MUCH VOLCANO! - Chris Abroad, I cant believe this masterpiece!
I am so enjoying this! To bad I live on the other side of the Atlantic and wont be likely to experience this greatness irl. This is more than wonderful though...
omg,no words
andrew bird and madison cunningham, what a brilliant combo
I love this concert. I saw the same show at the Fox in Oakland and it was spectacular! That said, The Current's ad breaks are terrible - I'm getting them in the middle of songs! Boo!
I wish he’d come to England!
Show!
Adorable.
Encore starts at 1:41.12 . Desert Caravan is awesome. But really the whole encore cooks.
This is banging
that's magic...
De lo mejor que existe en música actualmente, Andrew Bird y su música es una maravilla
perfect
Going to Mr.Bird's and Joanna Newsom's concerts are the no.1 to-do on my bucket list.
Andrew Bird is absolutely gorgeous and he is ever so fluent in music!
1:12:50 I am so much in love with Andrew and Madison's brilliant duet here!!! *Left-handed Kisses!*
What a blessed soul you are, Mr. Bird! :)
Loved that version! She made it her own!
Oh my gosh! I'm so, so happy to see someone refer to Joanna Newsom 'in the wild'. I love her so fucking much, it's wonderful to see other people who are aware of her incredible existence.
@@miriam4951 How can I not? I've been in love with her musical world ever since I was reintroduced to her music back in 2010.
I also remember I was a bit taken aback when I had first heard her album 'Milk-Eyed Mender' but at that time
I thought I wouldn't be too enthusiastic about her songs. But then again one of my friends convinced me to have a second listen
when her groundbreaking 3-CD album was released.
