I started skating 7 months ago and fricken love it. Probably won't make a whole lot more of these types of videos until i'm amazing enough haha but just thought i'd share these tips :)

im trying to do the same thing with being consistent for 30 days and i decided to finally go to the park on day 7..i went at 7 am aswell. i met a nice guy and he gave me some tips! people are kind lmao but moral of the story.. i sprained my ANKLE! i havent been able to walk for a whole week now :(
Ohh noo ankle injury’s are the worstttt, I feel you on that I also have Horrendous ankles , takes forever to heal 😥 bUTTT the meeting a nice person sounds funnnnn I HOPEEEE YOU can get back to it soooon

Going to the skate park is so much scarier at the beginning... for me, once I got over the fear and just went people were actually really nice and helpful. Cant't wait for more of your skate vidoes! You were one of the ones who inspired me to make one. I just posted it!
I had my skateboard for two years but never actually skated (okay I also broke my arm literally second time stepping on it hahaha) until I moved and now have a skatepark NEXT TO MEEE and the vibe there is just so different I love it and now I’m actually going, having fun😍🙌🏼☀️

I don’t get scared of people at the skatepark i love the community. Ive been skating for like over a year and am still scared to drop in. Ive only done it a few times on a 4ft ramp but my parks only have 5fts and 6 and I just havn’t gotten over it yet. The weirdest thing is i can go down a 8ft roll in. skating is basically mind over matter.
Edit: I dropped in today it was v sick
I'm from Brazil, and now living in Europe, Portugal. In South America we are way more friendly twords beginners. In Europe people are more closed and territorial (a few). Just be constant, if you look at someone and they look back, just say hi or start a conversation and this gonna easy the stress. And normally, most part of skaters don't go there to judge others, we just wanna have fun and/by evolve. And please, don't stare, don't stay awfully quiet and staring... That rude.

So I got my skateboard around a year ago, but didnt really practice on it a lot (maybe 3/4 times) because I was soo so scared of people seeing me even though I didnt even go to the skatepark. 2 weeks ago a friend convinced me to go skating again. I didnt wanna go to a skatepark yet so we found a place with a smooth surface and just started skating again... I loved the feeling of it. Today I went skating again with her and we decided to go to the skatepark even though we were both really nervous, and I think thats the best thing we did. Nobody cared if we fell and everyone was minding their own business! I honestly think I learned more today then my entire time I was trying to skate, and I had so much fun as well
Moral of the story just go to the skatepark! Its actually really fun and challenging trying to learn something and you'll feel really accomplished even if it was just a small thing
As I was learing I cracked my foot im now im trying to adjust being being back on but I want to get better >:) also I love the lil skater community u gathered here bc usually online skater communitys are so toxic but its so cute here💞
Ahhh noo!! Ouch!! Hehe I’m so happy that the same people are alwaysssss here! That’s very true the online skate people can be so harsh I do not like it at all. I am so glad eveyone here is super supportive

Hehe YESSS DOOO me too tho, if It’s not my local park to be honest it is indeed very freaky , but after doing it I always feel really accomplished 😂
literally started skating a month ago and now that i am getting confident on my board, i fall.A LOT. today i did the spilts (mind you, im not AT ALL flexible) because my right foot wanted to ride on the board but my left foot didnt. if i did that at a skateboard, i would DIE

Ahh this is just what I needed. I'm from NZ so maybe it's different here but I went to the skate park and there were legit no skaters and loads of scooter-ers. Keep in mind I'm 18 and these kids were about 12/13. And they stare and always go really close or ask for you to do a kick flip. It feels so pathetic but I get low-key scared as I'm only a beginner XD These videos are helping/encouraging me heaps and I love your vibe/style!!
It's really helpful to bring someone with you to the park (even if they don't skate), just for that moral support. But I totally agree - when there's so many people, it can get a little nerve wracking. But if you go regularly enough, I'm sure you get to know them and start making new friends. Some people aren't so nice (towards girl skaters), but I haven't come across anyone rude yet. At the end of the day - people care a lot less than you think (most times, not at all), so be yourself and do you!

Watching your vids where u skate is helpful! Not only bc I'm also a sorta beginner but also bc watching u fall and get back up and have just an overall great energy makes me happy and motivation to skate :) (even tho it's still winter and I hate the cold haha)

im scared of practising in my front sidewalk and i get chicken feet cause i feel like someones watching and judging me 😭 any tips?
Head phones!! I was totally afraid to practice on my street or the side walks for so long but honestly the more you do it, the more regular and comfortable you / it gets. Just go for it and you’ll see that over time you begin to build confidence. Another thing is - bring a friend! Go to a parking lot with a friend and have them help you practice !

Sadly I don't have friends to go to the skatepark with, because nooneelse is skating... except of 2 but they are always busy when I'm asking them to meet :(

Do you do any stretching or have any suggestions for warming up before skating? I feel like I need to stretch more to avoid getting hurt so easily or pulling a muscle. 😓

The skate park near my home is tiny so there’s not a lot of ppl going there which is good but at at the same time it’s so tiny there’s only high thingys

@@OBnice777 honestly just doing it over and over! The better you get the more confident you’ll feel. It takes time but eventually you’ll be able to look back and think about how far you’ve come!
