Hello and glad to meet you all! I was gawking at your beautiful boat when I was down last week. We have not been around much since we got there. Lisa's Mom went into the hospital in FL the day after Christmas and we have been going back and forth since then. In fact, I pick Lisa up tonight from the airport again. We should be around next week to sea trial with the expectation of heading to FL the first weekend in June to get to the north-eastern area before August. When do you head to Knoxville? We loved Tellico!
@@CruisingSonchaser We are leaving either Friday or Saturday and have reservations for Sunday and Monday at Terrace View Marina and then Tuesday, Wed and Thursday at Ft. Louden Marina. Who knows from there. Any suggestions? Good anchorages or Marinas? Just curious...why go to Florida in the summer? It's pretty hot then. We are heading there in November this year.
Darn, we will just miss you. We anchored in some beautiful spots along the way. We liked the Old Watts Bar Resort anchorage right after the Watts Bar locks at about MM 530. But on our way back we went to New Dixie Cove at MM 531 and it was excellent! Very protected and nice. Our favorite anchorage on Tellico was called Cow Pasture Cove at MM9. We stayed a few days at Ft. Loudon Marina. The slips are tucked in the back past the restaurant (seemed tight) but it works out well and you can just walk to Calhoun's. Right when you go through the Fort Loudon Locks, the marina is to the left, but look straight ahead and you can see the Smokies. Definitely worth going under the bridge and cruising Tellico to get close to the mountains. You can always head back out and get to Ft. Loudon or just hit the Cow Pasture Cove. We are going to FL to get the boat up to Halifax Harbor which is right by Lisa's ailing parents near Daytona (they are in Ormond). So, we are taking our chances with the hurricanes. Then in the winter we are going to backtrack to do the Bahamas (uncle has a house in the Abacos) and then the spring, head on up the east coast with the rest of the Loopers. This coming weekend we are up on Lake Barkley. We have a lakehouse up there near Green Turtle and have our gang of 15 heading up so we will be pontooning instead of cruising on the "big boat". You guys will have a blast!

We plan on hitting the Bahamas this winter also and heading up the coast after so our paths will probably cross at some time! Have a great weekend! Ed and Maureen
Where are you guys now? We have been in Key West for the last two months having made it Florida last October. I just can’t seem to get any videos out! Maybe tonight but we hope to head to the Bahamas in the morning. Heading to the Dry Tortugas today. Keep us posted. We will hook up with you all along the route!
@@CruisingSonchaser We are in Homosassa Florida. Rented a house for 5 weeks on the river. We are loving going to the springs every day to swim. Will be heading out of Chattanooga May 1 on Freebird. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time!
YEA your UT Neyland Navy boaters were super nice and welcoming even though we were UK fans. We loved it. The game however, was a bust... you guys KILLED us. But it was such a great memory cruising there, and being a part of it all. Well done UT!
