Did Grandpa mosh? Lol
No, he was outside the pit for Carcass though, and enjoyed the hell out of GWAR!
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack so can I ask when you stage dive do you go back first towards the crowd or belly first towards the crowd
@@thrashtodeth9442 I'm assuming back. Falling hard on people hands on you stomach would probably hurt.
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack that's awesome
The best story I have is from last year's Bloodstock where a kid, about 13, caught a sweatband from Megadeth and some drunk asshole snatched it off him. A very little old lady next to me marched straight into the pit (it had died down a little bit), told some of the biggest and scariest moshers to come to the rescue, to which they did and luckily it was peacefully solved. Saw the same old lady riding on the back of one of the big fellas later on, through the crowd. Got a selfie with her later.
Respect your elders, folks! Lol
That is an absolutely amazing story
My closet is full of t-shirts, my walls are full of posters, and I have no more room for CDs. Am I still going to buy merch I don't need? Yes lol.
Leona Luna same
I have posters randomly laying around because I have no room to hang them up
You always have room for more cd's.
Cool. Can you record a vid showcasing your merch. It be awesome. Though if it's to much stuff I understand.
Leona Luna That’s the essence of a metalhead
You be amazed how many lonely older women attend metal shows.
seems to be more an American thing. cuz they aint here in Canada lol.
invadernik actually ln turkey i saw two 65+ woman in amon amarth and three elder woman at enslaved
the one or 2 times, I saw someone older is that they were with their kid. that's it.
I know is weird to see a drunk 60 year old woman dancing to asking Alexandra.
Ya boi Metal head I don’t think I could enjoy Asking Alexandria even if I was drunk as fuck
"I love Suffocation." - Tony
Goes perfectly when listening to "Infecting the Crypts".
And for the record: FUCK ANTIFA!!!!!!
Listening to heavy metal with your grandpa. Brutal 🤘
I listen to metal with my 73 old baptist grandmother. That's brutal
You're amazing, you represent every young metalhead out there
Damn, you have a fucking badass Grandpa
I am going to my first metal concert in June! I will be seeing Slayer!
SSLLAAAYYYERRRR!!! First saw them in 90' /w\ /w\ I'm not a grandpa yet either!!
Same here seeing them may 25th
I’m jealous! Never got to see Slayer.
And Lamb of God
I'm almost more excited to see behemoth opening for slayer
Awesome story
That's a pretty metal grandpa
I got to smoke weed with Roger from Mortician, just him and I in an alleyway. That's my metal concert claim to fame 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Just saw Destroyer 666 about two months ago, unbelievable live, ended the set with a cover of “Iron Fist” and it was ace
Nimer Casey Oh my Metal God, I am seeing&meeting them this Saturday, I hope they will play it too!!! 😃
The wildest concert i've ever been to was a festival in my hometown. It was in summer but it was raining the whole time, so the ground was all slimy because of the sand, and we were all drunk and fucking soaking from the rain and the sweat, and on top of that moshing to goregrind and brutal death metal acts. I still don't know how i survived
Raúl Pérez XD
Raúl Pérez oof
Raúl Pérez was it raining blood?, Or was the band corpsegrind?
Kevin The Metalhead tbh i only remember a few names, infrahumano, mondo podre and nazghul and a few other bands
Raúl Pérez I was making a joke, cause you said it was raining and the people were moshing to coregrind
Man you are soooo much better than Jared dines!!! Favorite UA-camr
Thank you thank you \m/
MetalDrummer 101 and Stevie t, all they listen to is deathcore and slipknot
Stevie T and Jared both suck. They're just metalcore kids and I don't even know if Stevie listens to metal.
Scammer Trolling Stevie T has a video called "GIRLS HATE METAL" and Stevie T was doing karate, and he said that is moshing, and most of the songs he played was shit like dream theater, and rings of saturn
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! Man i fucking love this video i need to find metal and punk clubs to mosh in
I could've sworn that was you at the Exodus, Obituary show. I didn't find your channel until after but I definitely remember seeing you there.
Yep, that was me! I even made a concert review!
When I saw Primus, the guy standing next to me was smoking a cigar for half the show. Hopefully, the Slayer show in Charlotte doesn’t have that. See you there, I guess.
Just a cigar? I've been to shows that had folks tripping on LSD, meth, smack and all kinds of stuff! Lol
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! It didn’t help that the smoke was going directly into my face!! But hey, guess it could’ve been worse.
i always wanted to go on a metal show but i dont think this is goint to happen in my life because of 3 reasons
1 im too young to drive
2 bands i like never come to my country
3 when i will be old enough to go to a metal concert alone , most of the bands i like wont be touring anymore
sad life for me
I love you so much man, you're my favorite metal youtuber, you are awesome, May the Metal Gods be with you
Gracias dude!
In 2013, I saw Morbid Angel for the first time, and got to hang out with Trey Azagthoth and have a 30-minute discussion on the occult, the concept of creative visualization, and Nocturnus. Dude's one of my heroes and to this day I can't believe it actually happened. I also watched Tim Yeung throw a hissy fit when nobody wanted his autograph and he slammed the door of their bus in a fit of rage hahaha.
That's like an unknown local band bitching about not getting autograph requests, lol. But I've always heard good things about Trey and Steve.
I'm seeing them on 2019 December 1th
I love how he turns into kermit sometimes
I love the stories but you are making me damn envious! I can never go to metal shows because I am too young to drive and my parents wont let me go on my own, and none of my friends have good taste in music XD (One of them likes some mainstream bands like Stone sour, Slipknot, Five Thinger Death Punch ect, which I like aswell, but Stone Sour costs like £45 to see! Screw that!)
I haven't even been to a concert but my metalhead uncle said that when he gets out of jail he'll take me to a bunch of festivals :) That is unless his wife convinces him to give up metal like she's been trying to do the whole time they've been together.
Lol that aunt sounds lame. By the way, if your comfortable sharing, what did your uncle get into jail for?
I have that same Death t-shirt!!! Grind on tony!!!🤘
Much respect to you for taking a stand against Metal Sucks and their bullshit ways of undermining the scene!
Huge Watain fan here btw. Joined the Watain Disciples a few weeks ago.
Anyway their shows are always amazing! Feels badass to live in the same town as the Watain members. They often show up at the yearly “metal flea market” in Uppsala to sell off some of their older shirts and records.
I wish I had a MetalSucks shirt to burn like Metal Monster did. Lol Infidel Amsterdam posted something about it the day I saw them on Instagram. They sound down to earth for a band as wild as they are on stage
Killbot&GorGorAttack!!
Yeah same. I used to follow that blog a few years ago but ever since they went after Deströyer 666 back in 2015 - 2016 I realised what a bunch of fucking assholes that Metal Sucks are.
Yeah Watain are pretty down to earth in my experience. Talked a bit with Håkan at the “metal flea market” in 2016 and he shared a pretty hilarious story about Niklas from Shining. Erik is also pretty cool. Bought the All That May Bleed single of him at the 2017 market and he was kind enough to sign it.
I have however heard a few stories of people having bad experiences with the band members. Nothing I have any first hand experience of though
You litterally have the best memories with grandpa I could ever imagine bro!🤘🤘
My first metal concert was metallica
looking forward to having a chance to meet you at the slayer concert in june
Hell yeah, I'll be in the pit
this is gonna be fun as tits man
The Wretched Abyss when in June ;-;
I'm happy to see you younger metalheads listening to the music I was listening to 20 plus years ago. I'm a older metalhead but I still go to shows and still show my support for the bands. I have been to 219 concerts so far,not to mention all the local shows. We are the most loyal fans. Keep listening and posting.
dude, you got hair like janis joplin. now that's cool
I love your vids and have come to love the legendary GHOUL as much as you
( i literally just fanboyed seeing you like my comment haha)
Andres?
Andres Torres it’s your dad!
Tf lol
Same
I was at the one in Bristow too!
I saw Exodus with VoiVod in 1985 or 86 at the Ritz in NYC...I believe it’s now Webster Hall but that concert taught me a valuable lesson about extreme metal...do not Hang out in the mosh pit if ur not used to metal heads thrashing....a nuwave mosh pit like for The Cult, let’s say is waaaaaay different than a thrash or death metal mosh pit...at least back then it was...peeps are probably way more cool nowadays in taking care of each other via mosh pits...it seemed that way for slayer show at MSG last week.
My first metal show is in May - I’m seeing Megadeth in Camden! 🤘
I went to see Suicide Silence and Killswitch Engage back in September 2022 and I was able to spend
Enjoyed the video! Can't wait for volume 2!
Got to meet Kreator once and Type O Negative several times.
I actually saw Suffocation on my very first festival at age 15. I was right up front and my neck was dead afterwards.
Watain was also there, also very cool performance, though I was drained a bit from the 45 minutes of Suffocation before that.
Hey man i met you at the cannibal corpse show dec 3 2017. I was the guy getting a sledge hammer autographed by cannibal corpse. Great video.
Oh hell yeah! Didn't we get a picture together?
Just went through my pictures, no we didn't get a picture but we should have. Maybe next time, im going to see slayer in june. Im sure you'll be there so maybe we'll bump into each other again. Keep up the great work man.
k 1 lucky
I love In NC too
Man you have went to some epic shows this got me in the mood to listen to cannable corpse and obituary
I can't wait to hear more stories, great idea man
This video is getting me hyped up I'm going to see Municipal waste in 3 weeks with my friend and it's going to be my first concert, great video as always.
Was there a wink at the hit me up part
You're so Lucky I got into Metal the year of Sabbaths final Tour in 2017. Great Video btw.
First time i saw black sabbath was in 2005 at ozzfest cool show ever
Oh cool,
A music enthusiast documenting his historical stories
I look forward to more
Going to see my first show in October! Trivium!!
In the future, my favorite Death Metal band of all time I would love to go see which will be my first Death Metal concert is Nile.
I NEEDED THIS! :D Thank you so much! :D
Another great video tony and there is a interesting story about my first strange concert experience. It was at my first concert and I went to see Clutch, the obsessed, and the Devin Townsend project. It was a great show until a guy with grey hair in the crowd complained the whole time because they would not play the song Spacegrass. I guess that guy was probably drunk or something?
I saw that tour, got a pick from Devin and a pic with Scott as well as an Obsessed setlist. In my opinion the best band all night.
I’m new to your channel, good stuff. I live in Western NC and hardly venture out to shows anymore. Asheville gets cool stuff from time to time. Last show for me was Slayer in Asheville of 2015.
Love your videos! :D
Greetings from Germany!🤘🏻
My first concert was a slayer concert in August 2018 there was Napalm death, testament, anthrax, lamb of god, then slayer so amazing
Fucking awesome video, I can't wait to hear more crazy ass metal stories and eventually carve my own path through the mighty genre of METAL🤘
@killbot&gorgor I have been talking.to Phil the guitarist from iron Reagan \m/
Yesssss a new video I was just going through his oldest videos earlier today🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Carcass and Obituary... Fuck. That's insane. This entire vid is so awesome. Really interesting and entertaining. Keep it up dude and thanks for so much awesome content!
I love your hair dude!
I live in North Carolina too! That’s Awsome, rock on! \m/
Amazing stories man. Music keeps us all going \M/
Me and my dad were once in a tour bus with Watain and destroyer 666.
Wow I live in NC too!!
The coolest moment I ever had at a show was opening up for Exhumed back in December. Such cool dudes and they loved our set! And another would be when I opened up for Origin and they saw I was repping an Origin shirt on stage they all came up to me and thanked me for sporting their mercy on stage. Such a cool moment!
Damn! Carcass and obituary! That must’ve been a sick show! 🤘
Hey Killbot, this was a great video. You're a really great UA-camr and you got me into loads of bands like Misfits, Obituary, Suffocation, Death and even Tori Amos!
With that in mind, I listened to Under The Pink and loved it, and I wanted to ask you which Tori Amos albums would you also recommend? Cheers mate :)
Tori Amos of all things. Haha! I think anything past 2000 is horrible, that's just me. Boys for Pele would be her masterpiece in my eyes for how weird/dark it is...
Ohhh sure! You reply to him but not even mention Soilent Green?!?! hahah, you heard Riffium? /w\ /w\
Cheers for replying mate, sorry I wasn't there for the last two livestreams. I'll try and get my hands on all pre-2000 albums by her, thanks for the recommendation :D
Oh man I saw Iron Reagan last year in New Orleans during Mardi Gras with Power Trip headlining (didn't care much for them). The venue was very interesting as they served Russian food. Also met the local band called Fat Stupid Ugly People which I recommend you check out. Not sure how to describe their music... I'd say somewhere between punk and grindcore? Anyway they sounded great
Holy shit you were at the Greens borrow Iron Reagan show! So was I!
Cool stories bro. Hopefully I can see some bands live in the not to distance future.
I've been in a wall of death. hurt like hell
I have sadly never been to a concert
That story of the first stage dive took me to the memory of the same thing that happened to me!
It was an underground death/grind metal show in this very small place near Florence (I'm from Italy)
One of a friend of mine, who is like 8 years older than me (I was also 16), suddenly grabbed me for letting me crowd surf and all the others crazy metalheads that were there helped him to let me stage dive, even the singer of the band was impressed. It was an amazing experience... I'll never forget even if there was something like 50 people, really good memories
Just found this channel. It’s awesome to see YoungerGeneration that is into traditional classic death metal
you are great!
I'm only 17 but Ive done missed out on a lot of old school bands looking at this 3 years later makes me wish I was born in the 80s
Concert Story.
Saw Metallica live in London this year, great show, all the bands were great. The next day me and my girlfriend are sitting in a cafe in Heathrow Airport waiting for our flight back to Edinburgh, she nudges me and nods in the direction over my shoulder and sure enough when I looked around I saw a tall man with tattoos and a walrus moustache wearing a cowboy hat sit down at a table behind me. James fucking Hetfield sat down near us in an airport cafe! I spoke to him for a few minutes before we had to go to our gate. Cool guy! Spoke to him for maybe ten minutes about the show, music, guitars, where we live, cars and other stuff, he doesn’t do pictures or autographs though but he’s very polite about it.
Edit: he gave me a pick when I mentioned that I play bass
My first metal concert, which was my second concert, was awesome. I went with my friend and his step dad and it was just a bunch of local metal bands that were playing. Like 40 people attended but it was fun as hell. I got to go into a pit quite a lot, and there was even a small wall of death. I even got to fist bump one of the lead singers of a band.
5:30 I also got a $20 signed poster form exodus at the merch booth and it was great
I live about 45 minutes away from Charlotte so once i get my license next year, i'll be able to go to some shows
Another awesome video from the best metal tuber out there💗💀.....Keep em coming...
YEAH THE NEW KILLBOT VIDEO!!!!!
Awesome
Holy shit! No idea you were from North Carolina. I go to the Blind Tiger all the time for shows! I'm from Greensboro!
Yep, there aren't any NC shows I know I'm seeing until September (Lead into Gold) but I do attend some badass stuff
Bro my first fit for a king concert there was a moshpit circle pit wall of death and i staged dived twice!!!!! it was DOPE!!
You can only have experiences like that at metal concerts. 🤘🏻
Dude I was at the exodus concert too! Were you by any chance at the recent anthrax concert at the filmore? And I noticed another comment made by you, I'll also be in the slayer pit in June!
I wasn't at Anthrax. I WAS at Buzzoven/CroMags which was ok. I'll also be at Obituary. But gnarly a pit buddy
You saw Kreator Live!? I’m so freaking jealous! Have you seen Tankard, Destruction, and of course Sodom!? Out of the Four Pillars of German Thrash or The Teutonic Big Four, Sodom might be my favorite. I absolutely love Kreator and Destruction but Sodom dabbled in Death Metal sounds all the way back in it’s very early proto form before it grew into its very own separate Metal Genre. I absolutely love the Big Four of Germany. What always amazes me is how most people have no idea how insanely large, diverse, and all encompassing Europes Heavy Metal community is which also has some of the very best bands in the business to date. Some of the best, largest and most expansive Heavy Metal Music Festivals are in Europe and I’ve been to Wacken Open Air. I’ve never seen so many Metal-Heads in one place in my entire life. The 3 day Festival had some of my all time favorite bands and some of the kindest and coolest people you could ever meet! But even with that being said I have yet to still see Kreator live!
I just found your channel today. Good content. I’m in Charlotte. Wonder if we’ve been to the same show. Good channel!
It’s possible!
Some fucking cool stories, Tony. I actually began going into pits and Crowd Surfing recently, at Chicago Open Air 2017 (With Kiss, Slayer, Korn, Lamb of God, Behemoth, etc.) And Now I'm seeing Slayer the 25th of next month, those people in the pits better be ready haha. But yeah, metal shows are awesome and most definitely provide some wild fun and stories \m/
Tony, I saw Sabbath back in 1982 ,when Ronnie James Dio was their frontman
Great concert ! I was the only person who left the semi open air venue with her hearing still in tact
90 people at iron Reagan. I went to a mushroomhead show with like 50 people in the crowd, Maybe less
I’m gonna see if I can get tickets to see slayer in August!!!
that reminds how i had a good experience with that dragonforce concert back in october
ever thought though about doing a video of me and my comments
YOU SAW DRAGONFORCE??? Jealous.
I want that death shirt
Awesome video
Going to Sabbath with Grandad. I took my son to see Iron Maiden and a few others. It's funny how times have changed. The idea of my parents going to see one of those devil bands,... impossible.
You have a badass grandpa
A few months ago I went to a hardcore/metal show, it was Negative Sky, (another band I don’t remember), Old Wounds, Madball, and E.town Concrete, they’re all local NY+NJ bands. E. Town is one of mine and my dads favorite bands, and the whole show from Negative Sky (first band) was a mosh pit that just kept growing. By the time E. Town came on, the headliner, the ENTIRE VENUE-NO JOKE- was a mosh pit, and they did their first wall of death. It was badass 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I’ve been going to big concerts since I was younger but very recently I’ve been going to concerts at smaller venues. It was a whole new experience for me, the first small venue concert I seen was on February 3rd the band playing that night was Carnifex. I bought meet and greet tickets, it was awesome got to talk to them got stuff signed and I stood in front of the stage the whole night. The next concert was Oceano and the experience was great, I thought the dude next to me was drunk through the slaughter to prevail set. Once Oceano took the stage it was amazing, and I’m sure the dude I was standing next to me was on ecstasy, when ever the breakdown hit he would thrust himself on to the stage but not to try and get up and stage dive but to rub his whole body on the carpeted stage. His body slid back down and he started rubbing his hands all over his body and his face looked like he had surpassed euphoria. Later that same night a dude i talked to earlier that night was about to stage dive, he gets to the stage and happens to jump right on top of me. I’m a 6’1 big guy so I used my hands to capture him but I accidentally use his momentum to give him a push and I looked behind me hoping to see him crowd surfing but instead everyone behind me moved out of the way and he was on the ground in pain. I felt so bad for him because he was a cool dude. Now if I ever go to a concert I only go to concert that are in smaller venues then those that are in big theaters.
So far, I've only been to two metal concerts but hey, I thought both were really good. My first one was going to see Nightwish and Sabaton at the House of Blues in Disney Springs in , Orlando in May 2015. Sabaton was funny as hell, particularly Joakim Broden, and well let's just say getting to see your favorite band of all time play right in front of your eyes is an experience on it's own. Then as a birthday treat in October of the same year, about a week and a half after my birthday, I saw Symphony X and Overkill in the Ybor City Ritz. To add to the birthday specialty, my mom also managed to get VIP passes to a meet-and-greet of both bands. At the door they gave both of us a poster with the bands' logos on them and everyone from both bands, except Russell Allen, signed the poster and I got to talk to Bobby Blitz. We took pictures with both bands, with Russell still being absent for some reason, and then proceeded to the show. My neck was practically broken by the end of the show thanks to Overkill. Also the first time I was near a mosh pit, we were both set at the ring of death every time one formed...unfortunately, but since I'm short as fuck both as a 14 year old back in 2015 and as a 16 year old now, I probably wouldn't be jumping into any kind of mosh pit anytime soon. Let's hope that in seeing Nightwish in April, me, my mom and my dad all get a picture with the entire band, or at least the mastermind himself, Tuomas Holopainen.
The fact that you go to concerts with your grandpa is really really cool honestly.
I’ve got my first death metal show tonight at the Lincoln in Raleigh. I am fully prepared for whiplash
