So something I learned a few weeks ago with the beartraps... They're incredibly good for anti-boarding. If you put them next to ladders and have a blunderbomb in them, not only are they basically undodgeable, but they do up to 90% of the person's HP (This is especially true on the back 2 ladders of the Burning Blade, since the trap is actually elevated in a spot where when you climb up it's in the center of your hitbox, doing HUGE damage. At least from my testing). Of course they can be destroyed with cannons shots and such, but they're still good defensive measures
For the past three days I have been either using a rowboat or my ship, boarding a unclaimed Buring blade using the harpoon gun or docking the boat, and use the barrel disguise while waiting in captain’s quarters for PvP ships to defeat the Burning Blade before I claim it for myself. Most of the time no one even notices I am there and one time I was there for 3 hours before I got logged out due to not moving enough.
I popped in on the Twitch stream when Cliff's esteem was at all time low. seeing him end the stream ranting. Seeing this video brought a smile to my face cause not only that's another amazing Cliff video, but that he pulled through at his lowest point from end of that stream. Great job Cliff. You did great. I appreciate the struggle you go through for content you make us fans enjoy too.

Me and a friend were playing the other day when we saw a reaper 5 Gallon stacking Fotds and got the drop on them by blowing up their ship with two gunpowder kegs. We got sunk later by that crew but we had a lot of fun in the process
With the upcoming changes to Safer Seas making basically the entire game pointless I've decided to fully quit SoT so it was actually really nice getting the ARK series to get into rather than the typical content. I hope you have plans to either get back into ARK again or some other non-SoT content. I'll support you regardless though! Thanks for all the effort you put in
@Sm3lmaT0es Incorrect, you can do almost all world events and the only (non-Athena) voyages you cannot do are raid voyages which is hardly a limitation when those did not feature any unique gameplay to a faction (imo raids were a dumb thing to introduce in the first place but that is a whole different topic). Every single commendation that does not involve PvP with the exception of Athena ones can be earned through Safer Seas and every single fucking gold piece to your name can be earned in Safer Seas just as easily. Yes I realize you miss out on emissaries, that is in no way a trade-off for not having any risk of players when the entire foundation of the game is built on player interaction. If you look at the bts videos in the earlier days of the game's life cycle it is abundantly clear that the focus shift in Seasons 10-11 were not at all something the game was built for. I am not interested in playing a game where the only things I can earn legitimately are emissary cosmetics and PvP rewards. Not to mention that adventuring in the Sea of THIEVES knowing there is a way to experience the world without any thieves just makes the whole thing hollow. Why bother playing it the hard way when there is an easier way to do things? I will die on this hill: if you were to tell the devs 7 years ago what they would be doing now they would laugh you of the studio.
the ark series was great! the only reason i didn’t personally watch it was because ark is very confusing and ive never played it before, i’d love to see you do other games that are easy to understand maybe something like palworld or minecraft?
Hi Cliff! I noticed you are only making a video for new content drops unlike back then over a year ago. At least I myself would love to see more vids even if they are just about doing a random challenge like doing a Fof with a row boat or other cool Voyages. I don't now if that's only me but I think they are just as awsome as the ones you do now.
Those videos don't tend to do well because, fundamentally, I am doing things I have already done. Realistically, I've done everything in SoT that i care to do so waiting for new content is really the only thing left for me

I use mostly the blow dart for mobs, espacially the explosive one for nkrmal enemies and poison for bosses.
