- Senior Drill Sergeant Leader, Sgt. 1st Class David Rodriguez from The U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy, offers some advice to those noncommissioned officers planning on attending the Academy.
Through the years, U.S. Army regulations have changed. So the senior drill sergeant leader suggests that drill sergeant candidates break out the current rules and read them. And when they get to the school, read them some more.
There is so much information out there to read, don't just assume you know it, explained Rodriguez.
Only army vets know just how good the guys who come to the academy already are.
Just because he hasn’t deployed doesn’t mean anything. Less be honest most people don’t do anything at all when deployed. Fact.

Most deployments are out of that service members hands. You can't blame someone if they never deployed before, it's typically out of their control
