I was only 12-13 during the times on Eastenders when Grant and Tiffany were real central characters. I loved Tiffany, she was such a lovely character and was played fantastically by Martine McCutcheon. Martine, if you read this, you were brilliant!! You played an awesome role in this soap during your time there. The more modern Eastenders bears no resemblance.
Similar story with Janine getting such a hard time for accidentally running over the Danielle who chose to stand in the middle of t’road for 10 hours. She was practically asking for it.
And then Tiffany's best friend Bianca sleeps with her own mother's boyfriend a few months after this. Did she learn nothing from what happened to Tiff?
I remember this very well. I bet Grant regrets treating Tiffany so badly when they were together. I don't think he really knew how much he loved her until it was too late, and will always regret it, just like he regrets the way he treated Sharon when they were together. Plus, Simon is such a hypocrite, as he betrayed Tiffany by sleeping with her boyfriend Tony, when Tony was going out with her.
Grant even said on the baby monitor that ‘Tiffany is the love of my life I didn’t know it until today.’ like he really did love her but then he messed it all up in one full swoop.
We don’t blame her. The showrunners killed her off in a sadistic act of control. This was an actress who became iconic to the show, and she deserved to have the door left open for her.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis She messed the BBC around greatly. She managed to get a contract which would only require her to appear in EastEnders a few months of the year so she could explore other avenues of her career, and right at the point she was due to sign, she changed her mind.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis They allowed her to do that, and she negotiated a contract which would mean she could have time off and only work on EastEnders few months of the year. She agreed to it, but at the last minute decided against it, and therefore they killed her off. She strangely omits this detail from her autobiography.
This is one of the most important episodes of my life. I’d been in labour since 2am, had been going all day, labour had been slow, i’d got to 7:30pm and my midwife told me to ‘hurry up, she wanted to see what happened to Tiffany in Eastenders’ My baby girl, Chloe was born at 7:37pm a few minutes before this episode began.
Tiffany was one of my favorite characters. One of the Eastender deaths I wish could be reversed to this day.Always wished she could be back on in some form either like she would come like she wasn't dead or as another character. But they had to keep it real.😢
I honestly think it was all infatuation with him and just so that he could have one over on Grant and wind him up, he loved her but he wasn’t in love with her.
(R.I.P. Tiffany) you will be sadly missed Like Peggy as just said “you wasn’t driving dangerously it was a accident” but I thought frank was speeding to get to Peggy? But it is still sad that Courtney as no mummy…..
@@rayoflight6505 No, it was a double. Martine refused to shoot the scene even though she would have been paid for it. I think she had suffered enough humiliation from the producers to have to play a corpse.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis Where did you hear this? i don't think you can refuse to shoot a scene though if you are under contract unless it is something really inappropriate, if you refuse to do a scene they can remove you from the actors guild because the actor who played Brian Tilsey was so against his killing he was going to refuse to do the scenes but was told he could be struck off the actors guild for it. I don't think she was humiliated, she resigned from the show so they opted to kill her off-yes she was against it but it's hardly humiliation. They do it to loads of characters.
25:04 - 25:29 Last official appearance of EastEnders Tiffany Mitchell who appears as a corpse (played by a double, instead of actress Martine McCutcheon) after the character died being accidently flattened by Frank Butcher's car during a final showdown with violate husband Grant Mitchell (31st December 1998) - who visits his wife's body at the morgue.
what sort of mother would even think of sleep with her daughters husband it’s just disgusting but grant really did fell in love with tffany even after everything after all the toxicity, he fell in love with her and then he lost her. louise is a terrible mother she must’ve been jealous of tiffany or something.
Looking at the old episodes. The Mitchell brothers were just cowards, little boys who preferred others to take the blame , lacking accountability. Heroes they are not.
This the real EastEnders when a storyline s had impact and had effect on most of the characters today we would see little impact with multiple plots unfolding.
Poor old Grant 's getting the brunt from everyone ' I know he could be pretty mean and unstable and violent at times ' but he wasn 't the worst tough nut on the square xept from a physical perspective ' look at how coy and cold Den was when he handed his wife the divorce papers in a Christmas day episode in the 80s ' (seen the repeats ' and on youtube) MERRY CHRISTMAS DARLIN! he was hard as nails ' that Jack Dalton character ' first degree murder ' Johnny Allen ' Andy Hunter ' even his brother Phil could be more cunning and devious ' Grant was not in their leage ' he was the muscle.
It's only watching this as an adult, I realise how awful of a person Tiffany was. If the courts hadn't coddled spoiled brats just because they were the mother back then, Grant could have escaped her a long time before any of this happened. She had a place to live and a place of employment because of him. In a fair court system, he would have gotten at least joint custody. But instead, he was forced to stay with her because every time they fought, she threatened to take Courtney away and he would never see her again. She wielded that poor baby like a pawn. In fact, one of the last things she ever did was manipulate her falling into "he pushed me" and then brought him a picture of HIS daughter as a "souvenir," since he was never going to see her again.
Everyone feels guilty and it was a terrible accident. Simon is right to be angry but grant was legally her husband so in the law's eyes, he has the say. But no, he treated her badly and her family should have more say. Everyone looks broken. They could have chosen not to kill Tiffany off. But grant was wrong to keep Courtney from Simon because he had a right to be angry with how be treated Tiffany. Terry was a monster to her and he let him see her. Grant definitely wished he'd treated his wife better. Liam doesn't remember any of it nor Courtney
at first it was definitely lust, but then I think the time that tiff spent with grant she slowly fell for him and grant just kinda closed himself off from feeling anything for tiff since Sharon, but he then gradually opened himself up to gradually falling in love with Tiffany.

I watched this again, how ridiculous. No matter what , who or why the police wdve breathalysed frank, asked him questions, got witness statements. I mean what actually happened here? They scooped up her body and not a question asked!? 😂
Poor Frank. It wasn’t his fault. He didn’t ran over Tiffany on purpose. Grant’s the one who caused Tiffany’s death.
But nearly 2 yrs on he cheated on Peggy with Pat his true live of his life even though he walked out on her before
adam Holden what’s that got to do with Tiffany
