I just applied to around four or five internships around me. Hopefully I get some responses, I also paid $50 to create a website, made an entire portfolio and finalized my resume. I am honestly a bit nervous, I worked in retail and restaurant for three years, but nothing for something that I love about like my career. I am going to a technical school on the side for interior design. Hopefully all goes well! Thanks for the video it was really informational, especially for the do’s & donts of your portfolio!
You're very welcome ☺️ glad to hear that soms of the insights have been useful. All the best with your internship search and don't focus too much on the lack of your experience. Just show them your enthusiasm about the job and willingness to learn. You'll get there eventually! Maybe also look at a few more places to inquire for internships even if they don't advertise it. Sometimes ir is just a numbers game so the more you apply for, the bigger your chances of getting hired 👌 good luck!!!
Eyyyyy! Haha, you actually checked out the video 😁👌 thanks for the coffee! It was delish and exactly what I needed to kick off the day! Hope all is good with you!
Was a great video. We aren't meant to be perfect 💕. Years ago I didn't have the mindset like I have now to pursue... The gift was always there, but not the correct mindset. So important. 🌺🌸💮
Even Deepak Chopra has told others to lie in resumes or job interviews just to get a job. There's no problem. Sometimes people need help with getting rid of GUILT rather than needing help to get a job. Don't you think? Lie without guilt. Do what you gotta do to get what you want. Each to their own.
Not sure if I can agree with this one.. you can of course do what you want but the lies will soon enough catch up with you. If you're a person who can improvise and deal with issues on the spot then you might get away with it but if you can't... Then you'll be in trouble and risk looking like a fool and loosing the position after the probo period. And in some way the whole 'fakeness' will then follow you for the rest of your career. There are too many people out there who talk the talk but they haven't actually walked the walk which causes a lot of issues down the line.
There is some gains there but it all depends how well you are prepared for the self employed journey. I think there is a lot that you can learn from being an employee. And after a couple of years you can go out on your own as you've gathered a lot of knowledge about the industry 👍

@@SpaceForEdit you can lie to human resources. It's ok. They are not in contact with your boss or coworkers.
How about being self-employed right away to avoid climbing the social ladder that way? What do you think?

@@SpaceForEdit you should make a video about self-employment. How do you promote yourself from now onwards?
