Great declutter. I’m getting to the point that i need to do the same and it is SO HARD. It’s not like they are bad fragrances, but if i don’t reach for them there is really no reason to keep them. I remember you saying in one video that it was a top, if not THE top perfume for you! I got a chance to smell it the other day and it is absolutely heavenly.
I just thought I would share a couple layering combos for those of you who love Yara. I haven't seen anyone talk about these. Layer Yara with b&bws sunset glow or layer it with cheirosa 62 by sol de janeiro. So good!
I can not part with any of my fragrances. I don’t know what it is …. but I just can’t part with them. Of course, I am not a creator having brands send me stuff to cause me to have more than I want/need either. I would only do decluttering in that particular case. Even if I don’t wear them as often as others and they’re “OGs” I just love them too much to get rid of them. I love them even when they’re “likes”!
99% of my collection are perfumes I purchased myself. But I completely understand why some people choose not to declutter. It’s different for everyone. Some want a huge collection and are true collector. Myself, I prefer a “smaller” collection. We all enjoy it differently but we all enjoy it. ❤️
I'm with you about Burberry Goddess. I tested it in Ulta and it was just kind of meh. Plus I already have Mon Guerlain in my collection and it kind of gave me the same vibe, except I love MG a lot more. 💕
I love Nebras yet didn’t enjoy the Billy Eilish one although they are close. I get lots of compliments with Nebras and like it for Florida fall/winter.

8:55 I agree with you 1000% about Burberry Goddess.. I just received a travel spray last week and loved it off the atomizer, but then it was meh on my skin. It became a skin scent very quickly so I can confidently say that the lasting power is garbage and the overall scent is boring. This one is a perfect example of why we should always sample before jumping on that hype train.. 😉
I was sooo disappointed in the performance of my bottle of Rouge Smoking that I decanted most of the bottle away. After sitting about 12 months I can say I’m thoroughly enjoying it and regret decanting it so much. You won’t regret it!
I agree. Rough Smoking needs time. I’ve gone through half a bottle and plan to repurchase it. I noticed that it performs best on skin for me, so I spray more on skin that I usually do with other fragrances.
It’s hard to have all loves, I have many fragrances but not all are loves- hoping they turn into loves but mines are not so Expensive some are but not many., thanks for sharing. I give mines to my daughters 12-29-2023❤
While I do absolutely love layering and have a handful of very simple scents purely for that purpose, I think the plot has been lost a little bit lol. Whatever you layer with should be a welcome addition to the mix, not something you're hoping is drowned out by another fragrance. So good on you for decluttering when it got to that point for you! It's so easy to convince yourself to hold on to things that aren't true loves, and it's something I've struggled with myself. But I wholeheartedly believe in having a collection full of scents you genuinely love rather than just a bunch of accumulated bottles that look good in photos or videos for social media.
I keep going back and forth on Burberry Goddess. Sprayed it twice (overspray) in Sephora. By the time i left the mall both times it seemed to turn into a skin scent. To me the dry down smells like Replica by the fireplace or Bonefire bash from Bath and Body. And the price is just crazy for the lasting power. Funny bc I have that Yara scent and love it. That last a decent length of time on me. You should’ve kept it! So cheap!
I'm unsurprised by Burberry Goddess. I didnt try Oajan, but i tried Khaltat Night, they do sound similar. I get the cherry ice cream thing with it when smelling it from the bottle but not so much on the skin, so yeah I see that they could be very similar. I agree, there's no point for me with repetitive fragrances and also for me 100 is about the limit with numbers. I feel overwhelmed over that.

oddly enough, I smell Cherry in Oajan so when someone else mentioned the difference of cherry I was baffled lol. Lucky me I suppose pwahahaha. In cases like that I pick the prettiest bottle unless the price is very different

I am having the same issue with Nebras. Everytime I smell it - I really like it! But I never NEVER reach for it. I have too many other gourmands I prefer over it already, and my collection is still growing... I feel the same about the Ariana Grande Clouds (all 3 of them) --> they are good, but not great. And I am wearing some really beautiful fragrances these days and loving what I wear. I don't love those. But I am going to be opening up an Etsy shop soon to do decants, so I'm holding on to them.
@@sbozalicious It is good! But it is simple. That may be the reason I haven't been reaching for it. I do like it for layering - it's much better than Choco-Musk. At least Nebras feels like an actual perfume. Where Choco Musk feels more like a body spray, or something more for teens.

Gorgeous makeup! I just decluttered Pink Me Up. Thank goodness, so hyped but so disappointingly cheap smelling. Rouge Smoking is the only fragrance I have a backup bottle of only because I know I will go thru a whole bottle. I spray it 10x more than I do my other perfumes lol.

Hi Jackie! I agree with you regarding Burberry Goddess. I like the opening okay, but I’m not feeling the dry down. It smells like Mon Guerlain for a nanosecond. It definitely is not in the same category because Mon Guerlain is in my top ten for life! I’m disappointed. I was hoping to layer Burberry Goddess with some other fragrances. I never liked Burberry fragrances until I tried Burberry Her Elixir and that really isn’t a strong love. This will probably be my last Burberry purchase. - Ms. Charlette
I agree with Yara. I really don't get the hype with it. It is not for me... But I recently got Yara Moi (and Yara Tous) and couldn't believe that the one that nobody talks about is my FAVORITE Yara and I actually really enjoy it!!! Moi is a Peaches & Cream fragrance. And Tous is a powdery creamy Mango perfume! And both perform better than pink Yara (which does not smell like a Strawberry Milkshake 🙄) .... anyways. I am really glad I gave the other 2 a try.
I totally understand curating your collection. I have a couple on the chopping block myself. Not because they aren't great, but if you don't wear them, why not send them on to a better home? Make room for new loves.
At 15:35 I just bought a full bottle of PDM Oajan in early June after the announcement that PDM was being sold. I still haven't opened it but will in November 🤠
Ooof Oajan… I bought that one cuz of you! 😉 I understand the redundancy issue though. It’s why I haven’t bought anything but decants in like 4 months (I’m also moving soon). I have too many redundancies in my collection, but I’m slowly whittling away… I’m always happy for 30ml and 50ml options. I wish more niche companies offered at least two options. I certainly love my 100ml (sometimes bigger) bottles, but good grief, that’s a lotta perfume when you have a giant collection. I’m moving to a bigger city, so maybe I can make a fragrance friend to share with… LOL
I definitely try to go for the smaller options when buying perfume. A 30 ml is perfect for me unless it’s a lifer. I have to go through the 30 ml first before I allow myself to go up.
I have an earring obsession and I buy them all the time…. I think these are from Amazon, but honestly I don’t remember. Or maybe Shein? I have a lot of boutiques here and buy a lot from there too.
Oajan? 😮😮😮😮😮 The best PDM. I own the whole PDM's female collection, but Oajan is my #1. I love Valaya, Safanad, Delina Exclusif, Meliora, but I can't see myself being w/out Oajan. Once I tried to buy Khaltat Night but it never made to arrive to Brazil. 🤷🏼♀️
I've been getting into Lemon Gourmand fragrances too! I would love to find a video on it. I am looking for my perfect lemon/vanilla creamy perfume... I would hate to spend $360 on Hufflepuff. Hoping to find one for less like I love lol... but Kerosene Unknown Pleasures is good - a strong 8.5/10 but I want more vanilla presence. Do you have any other recommendations?

I only had less than 6 perfumes but even then I didn't want to keep perfumes that I don't really wear or doesn't suit my personality no matter how expensive or hyped it was. I gave away my YSL Libre Intense, Burberry Her, Paco Rabanne Olympea etc. I now only have 3 perfumes 😂 Still on the lookout for a floral-fruity (non-citrus) freshie though.
Have you tried Burberry Her EDT? It’s not super green but just a hint with honeysuckle. Also, lasts pretty decently for an EDT or Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche.
I've been finding that I prefer to get DUAs own creations - mainly their gourmands... I've found some bangers! Almond Milk is REALLY good... and so is Coconut Milk Magic... their 1:1 dupes never seem to work for me.
My favorite lavender vanilla is Mon Guerlain intense. I also love the original Mon Guerlain. Another lavender vanilla I prefer is Libre Intense. My favorite vanilla of all time even though it’s not in the same scent profile is Spiritueuse Double Vanille.
Hi Jacky, have you done a three-way comparison between Angels' Share, Oajan and Khaltat Night? I did that this week. Let me say, Khaltat Night does not come to play!
I compared all 3 in my battle of the perfumes video. My favorite is Angels’ share. But I don’t find the dry down similar to the other 2. I really enjoy the cherry is khaltat night. ❤️
I believe it matters. where you purchase the Middle Eastern perfumes. I wear some hard-core beast mode Perfumes.. I bought two different Casablanca's from Swiss Arabian one is extremely strong. The other is weak, the same thing with the Yara. I got a strong one right out of the box. I was so baffled why some people call it strong and some weak? then I finally figured it out. I buy from triple traders reputable and guaranteed from the Middle East. I think it makes a huge difference. where you buy from. definitely don't buy from places that don't specialize in perfume from Middle East. Just my thoughts. Thanks for your reviews.

I bought the Burberry Goddess in the travel size. I won’t pass it along, but I have many vanillas that I prefer. I love Black Opium Le parfum. I have samples of Oajan and Herod. I love both, but I can never pay the PDM prices. If I could, I would choose Herod. Still love Flowerbomb….and Nectar….and Ruby Orchid…😂 My favorite Dua is Alexandra Short. Right now I’m experiencing allergies for the first time in my life! I can’t smell a thing.😢 No point in wasting my fragrances….
Ok I've been looking at possibly buying Frank Boclet Vanille because I tried Lira and it wasn't perfect for me. There was something in it that annoyed me to keep from being a love. And I'm wondering if this one could be perfect?? What are the differences??

At 15:35 I just bought a full bottle of PDM Oajan in early June after the announcement that PDM was being sold. I still haven't opened it but will in November 🤠

Ooof Oajan… I bought that one cuz of you! 😉 I understand the redundancy issue though. It’s why I haven’t bought anything but decants in like 4 months (I’m also moving soon). I have too many redundancies in my collection, but I’m slowly whittling away… I’m always happy for 30ml and 50ml options. I wish more niche companies offered at least two options. I certainly love my 100ml (sometimes bigger) bottles, but good grief, that’s a lotta perfume when you have a giant collection. I’m moving to a bigger city, so maybe I can make a fragrance friend to share with… LOL
I definitely try to go for the smaller options when buying perfume. A 30 ml is perfect for me unless it’s a lifer. I have to go through the 30 ml first before I allow myself to go up.

The best PDM. I own the whole PDM's female collection, but Oajan is my #1. I love Valaya, Safanad, Delina Exclusif, Meliora, but I can't see myself being w/out Oajan. Once I tried to buy Khaltat Night but it never made to arrive to Brazil. 🤷🏼♀️

I've been getting into Lemon Gourmand fragrances too! I would love to find a video on it. I am looking for my perfect lemon/vanilla creamy perfume... I would hate to spend $360 on Hufflepuff. Hoping to find one for less like I love lol... but Kerosene Unknown Pleasures is good - a strong 8.5/10 but I want more vanilla presence. Do you have any other recommendations?

I only had less than 6 perfumes but even then I didn't want to keep perfumes that I don't really wear or doesn't suit my personality no matter how expensive or hyped it was. I gave away my YSL Libre Intense, Burberry Her, Paco Rabanne Olympea etc. I now only have 3 perfumes 😂 Still on the lookout for a floral-fruity (non-citrus) freshie though.

Have you tried Burberry Her EDT? It’s not super green but just a hint with honeysuckle. Also, lasts pretty decently for an EDT or Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche.

I've been finding that I prefer to get DUAs own creations - mainly their gourmands... I've found some bangers! Almond Milk is REALLY good... and so is Coconut Milk Magic... their 1:1 dupes never seem to work for me.

My favorite lavender vanilla is Mon Guerlain intense. I also love the original Mon Guerlain. Another lavender vanilla I prefer is Libre Intense. My favorite vanilla of all time even though it’s not in the same scent profile is Spiritueuse Double Vanille.
Hi Jacky, have you done a three-way comparison between Angels' Share, Oajan and Khaltat Night? I did that this week. Let me say, Khaltat Night does not come to play!
I compared all 3 in my battle of the perfumes video. My favorite is Angels’ share. But I don’t find the dry down similar to the other 2. I really enjoy the cherry is khaltat night. ❤️

I believe it matters. where you purchase the Middle Eastern perfumes. I wear some hard-core beast mode Perfumes.. I bought two different Casablanca's from Swiss Arabian one is extremely strong. The other is weak, the same thing with the Yara. I got a strong one right out of the box. I was so baffled why some people call it strong and some weak? then I finally figured it out. I buy from triple traders reputable and guaranteed from the Middle East. I think it makes a huge difference. where you buy from. definitely don't buy from places that don't specialize in perfume from Middle East. Just my thoughts. Thanks for your reviews.

Hey Jackie, I saw on your Mercari you also decluttered Franck Boclet Ylang Ylang. Would you mind telling me your experience with it, why you got rid of it and is the ylang banana like?
To me, it was more floral and the combination of dense caramel with dense yellow floral didn’t work for me. I didn’t get much of a banana vibe at all.

Ok I've been looking at possibly buying Frank Boclet Vanille because I tried Lira and it wasn't perfect for me. There was something in it that annoyed me to keep from being a love. And I'm wondering if this one could be perfect?? What are the differences??
Lira is more cookie like to me which is what I love. Vanille is more vanilla.
