I have got 98.5% in JEE Jan attempt will prepare for BITSAT as well. This Ameeri is the only thing that is troubling me. I'm from a small city in UP and although I can converse well in English and all, but I'm still afraid. Most of these people look rich and are from big cities. I wish I could talk to somebody studying in BITS to get an idea. Was scrolling through LinkedIn and most of these people are from famous ,expensive schools and big cities. I may feel like an outcast there if I manage to get in.

Not entirely true. "Hilaa nahi" means unable to get a good branch in IIT, not unable to get "any" branch in IIT. Most people, including me were getting lower preferred branches in old Tier I IITs. I was personally getting Metallurgy, Mining, Biotech, etc in Kharagpur. Some other friends were getting Civil, Chemical etc as well. I sense some arrogance in your comment.
