Winter Cleanup on the Farm - Time Lapse Compilation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- We have lived on the farm for almost 2 years and have yet to do a thorough cleanup of all the buildings and areas on the property. I finally caught up on all the cleanup projects that have been waiting in my winter break. I cleaned all the chicken rooms/coops, the garage, the barn, and areas around the property. Where I live, the temperature is around 20-50 degrees during the day so hard work is a good way to spend a lot of time outside like I do in the summer.
0:00 Intro sequence
0:04 Cleaning up scrap metal and wood
0:28 Cleaning up sticks and logs with the ATV
0:38 Cleaning out chicken coops
1:31 Clearing out the chick brooding room and cages
2:05 Cleaning chicken water and food dishes
2:38 Cleaning up old feed bags
2:43 Organizing the garage carport
3:06 Scrap wood cleanup
3:18 Clearing out old feed bags from the feed room
3:38 Organizing the feed room and egg storage
4:11 Organizing the pole barn (room 1)
4:54 Cramming as many feed bags as we can into a box
5:04 Cleaning up metal fence panels
5:09 Organizing the pole barn (room 2)
5:35 More scrap wood cleanup
5:50 Sweeping out the pole barn
5:55 Spray painting old rusty ATV trailer
6:21 Preparing to move hot tub with cinder block base
6:39 Organizing the house carport
7:15 Clearing leaves from the creek culverts to prevent clogging
7:40 Before and after shots
I left in the ending the way it was because it is funny how quickly things get messy all over again, the room is already overdue for a sweeping, and there is a piece of wood fallen onto the lawn mower, and I only recorded that a couple days after cleaning up the room.

Much respect for you, it's not an easy thing to do, the results were amazing, great job
Thanks for your comment, it took about a month to do all this cleanup but it was worth it. When I had cleaned up our old house, the challenge was mostly figuring out what to keep and what to get rid of, but most of the stuff on the farm is worth keeping, just it is completely unorganized, so I think it made an interesting video.
I was going to be a smart ass and say 'You're hired, when can you start at my farm?'.... but I get how things just accumulate and falls out of some kind of organization. Been there and still doing it, lol. Nice video. The end result makes me envious.
Kinda cool. Never saw a farm clean up before. Looks great after.
Thanks, I know it isn't a common thing to see a farm cleanup, and i'm sure our farm is very different from a lot of others. I will be making another farm time lapse soon because I have over 200 hours of time lapse footage collected from the last few months.
Wow! Really looking forward to seeing your new uploads then.
LOVE the bird supervising you at 2 min 20 seconds time LOL :)
and looks like the chickens are helping too jajaja.
You should be wearing a mask for any of that dusty stuff and if you don't think it's all that dangerous, that's EXACTLY what anthrax wants you to think.
Btw, inhaled anthrax is almost always fatal. Happy sweeping!
Thank you for looking out for my health, I agree I should probably wear a mask in the future when cleaning out chicken coops as it does get pretty dusty. I have cleaned out chicken coops dozens of times over the last few years and inhaled quite a bit of dust and I am fine, but our birds are very healthy so it's unlikely they are infected, although it is still good to be safe.
First of all..the chicken ebb and flow is awesome. Secondly...good work...it looks wonderful and I am sure that chicken coop needed it!
Omg...you worked so hard but the result was fantastic. Much respect son, your work ethic is something many others could learn from.
Thanks! I try to inspire other people with my videos. It was definitely a lot of work, but I film almost everything I do on the farm so that I can see how much progress has been made, and also to show other people that the easiest way to do work is just get started, instead of thinking about how hard it will be.
After two years on farm. Who's idea was it to move to farm? You do all the work. You are very good worker. You clean up stuff so organized. You would be my favorite child.
Thanks for watching all the videos, I'm glad you liked them. Actually it is was our whole family's idea to move to the farm because we used to live in the city and we couldn't have animals or gardens before. We have literally a few hundred birds now and many other farm animals too. The farm gets messy over time and requires cleanup but unlike the situation with the old house we decided to clean it periodically rather than trying to catch up on all the cleaning that should have been done years ago, and I think that idea is working well. If you saw the unpacking time lapse, you would see that a few rooms in the garage and barn are still filled with junk left over from the move, and I still haven't had time to tackle that project yet.
I love those chickens, they're so funny. How they follow you around in cautious groups and supervise. lol
Hon, you must sleep so, so well at night. Sometimes I envy living with a property like that, and other times I just take a good look at myself and say "You are far too lazy to maintain a farm." lol
Has to be the most satisfying time lapse clean up I have seen
OMG! You're such a hardworker! Love your job, congratulations ❤️
This is the best tidying up video I have ever seen, l love your Guinea Fowl used to have 6 myself until Mr Fox wiped me out :(
+michael o'hagan Thanks for your comment, sorry to hear you lost your guineas. That one that made an appearance several times in the video is one that I spent a lot of time taming, unlike the others that I can't get close to. Our guineas actually free range but the dogs do a good job chasing off predators.
we have a small farm. Cleaning day is back breaking, but very satisfying. Everyone at work thinks we just pick up chicken eggs and skip through the daisies in the field. They don't realize how much work it takes on a daily basis.
I totally agree, all the work can be back breaking at times, however tools such as the ATV help a lot. Our farm is 40 acres and we have about 9 chicken coops (we have gotten more since this video) as well as other buildings so it takes a few weeks to cleanup everywhere. A lot of farm videos that I have seen only show the "skip through the daisies" part of the farm, but this video is more like the opposite of that!
@@joshuareynolds5219 skip through the daisies, but come back with chigger bites! Best of luck to you. What is the name of your farm?
I totally agree on the chiggers, and ticks too! (here in Arkansas). I'd rather not post the name of our farm publicly because it is basically our home address, but most of what we do on the farm is running a small hatchery, where we hatch chickens, ducks, guineas, and geese. Thanks for watching my videos, I will be posting another year compilation around the new year.
@@joshuareynolds5219 ;) Happy New Year!
This is so satisfying!
Thanks for watching! I think the most satisfying parts are the before and after clips where you can see just how much of a difference there is.
How many days this was taken??
The whole process took about a month working several hours per day. This was winter and where I live the temperature can get very cold so I didn't work every day but it definitely took a long time.
Absolutely amazing job! That was a TON of work. Going forward, if everyone tries to clean as they go (recycle feed bags, burn wood, etc., etc.) then it never becomes so overwhelming. You deserve a vacation after all that!
Thanks! It was definitely a lot of work, but we still don't really have time to take vacations here with all the animals :) I filmed this 2 years ago, and in all that time the farm has gotten to be a big mess again, so I'm actually right in the middle of another huge winter cleanup almost as in depth as this, so I'll be making another of these videos in a couple months.
That was satisfying, I did notice one fowl in particular really likes being near you.😉🐓🐓
great job young man...some people wouldn't took on the job, but you did well.
Those are some lucky chicks, keep up the good work
Thanks! Its about the time of year for me to do the cleanup all over again.
Wow you are such a hard worker 👍🏻
I love how when we work out doors and are cleaning up debris that there is ALWAYS those handful of hens that MUST be right smack in the middle of the job pouncing on the bugs before the rest of the flock comes swooping in.
By the way love the supervising guinea.
I love all your little helpers!!!😊😊😊
loved this, great teamwork, i grew up on a farm and remember those days so well.
half way watching, I was tired … good job.
Thanks for watching! I definitely got tired too from actually doing the work but I enjoy watching the process afterwards

Good videos, well done. I relate to packing and moving house. I have just moved house myself. If only it could be done that fast in reality...
Amazing job!
The best time lapse 👌👌
Those chickens looove to help
I would want to clean up as I go through the season.
We do actually clean up some areas of the farm as ongoing projects, but usually cleaning the coops is something done yearly. Also we have a hatchery during the summer so I do a full clean out of that room at the end of the season.
👍대박! You are so great!
Wow. Good job
Best video I have ever seen , you are amazing

This was so satisfying
OMG did is so satisfying to watch!😊😊😃😃
Thanks! I also find it really satisfying to watch time lapses, especially when they show big changes in a few minutes that take days in real life.
Very good!!!
お疲れ様でした。面白かったです。
Wooooowww! Keep doing this!
you shuld wear a mask dear so the dust doesnt get into ur lung 🎉👏🏽💕💝
Thanks, in the past I have tried to hold my breath when working but a mask would probably be a better idea.

New subscriber ....hy from Italy 😊
why is this so satisfying? 😂 great job on the clean up! you should post more of them, they get a lot of views lol
Amazing!!
Wow great video! Best one out there. Does your family call you Hurricane Joshua? You sir are a force of nature.
Thanks! I have never been called that before but it really does look like it from the video. In real life, I don't work quite as fast as you see in the video, the total time was at least 80 hours compressed into this 8 minute video.
Just perfect
Thank you!
I just love cleaning look like in cartoon thy do speed n do all work like that happen..well it's not so easy work great job good work.i will give u 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
amazing bro
You are a superman
Nice
Помешанные на чистоте, ваши конкуренты???!!!!!
OMG I know farm work is hard and there is no 9-5 work days but can I hire all of you all.
There are no specific work times, but in some ways the work is ongoing all day. Right now the temperature at our farm is 20 degrees so the ice needs to be broken often so the animals have water, along with feeding. And then there are unpredictable things such as dogs or sheep getting out of the fence. I don't have a real job outside of the family farm, and I don't really know how that would be possible right now.
Love 2 c, how chiken chase people there))))
Wow
Is the winter cleaning process always this extensive ?
This video was from the second winter we lived on the farm, and there was about twice as much to do as the year before. This coming winter will probably be even more intensive than last year! That is mostly because the number of fowls we have has increased exponentially and we now have around several hundred, about twice as many as last year.
Muito bom 👏 👏 👏 👏
