Rotary OR Dual Action Machine III Fast Or Slow, Fear Or Safety III THE GREATEST DILEMMA
Rotary and Dual Action polishing machines are two types of tools commonly used in car detailing and paint correction.
A rotary polishing machine spins the polishing pad in a circular motion, and the pad oscillates around the central spindle. This type of machine is powerful and can remove paint defects quickly, but it requires a skilled operator to avoid causing damage to the paint.
On the other hand, a dual-action polishing machine, also known as a random orbital polisher, has a dual motion. The polishing pad rotates in a circular motion while also oscillating in a random pattern, mimicking the movement of hand polishing. This makes it easier to use and more forgiving, especially for beginners. Dual-action machines are also less likely to overheat or burn through the paint, making them a safer option.
In summary, rotary polishers are better suited for experienced professionals who need to correct severe paint defects quickly. Dual-action polishers are a safer option for beginners and are generally better for light to moderate paint correction tasks.

Soon I will be making a video on a badly damaged hood where I will have to use wool on rotation and then after rotation with Dual Action.

First and.foremost you need to remake this video in "Real Time" this fast forward doesn't help.
I hear one side saying the Rotary is more dangerous that you can burn the clear or paint quicker. Well, then I hear you can burn the paint or clear , just as quick with a DA.
Or DA is for Cutting and Rotary is better for polishing or finishing.

First of all, let me greet you and thank you for your comment. From my point of view and previous experience, the rotary machine is a faster way of correction for me, much faster than DA, it is true that the DA machine is safer for paint, especially free spinning. With a rotary machine, holograms are inevitable, which we later fix with DA.
To summarize
The rotary machine will not generate heat so quickly that it will burn the paint if there is hand movement and avoiding staying on the edges of the panel, and it will do the job the fastest.
DualAction free spinning does the job more slowly and does not leave holograms.
DualAction force rotation as dangerous as a rotary machine.
It is best to master working with all types of machines, I sometimes have the need to use all three types, but luckily I mastered the rotary one first. This level of risk is greatly influenced by the choice of pads.
For me, wool on the rotation heats the least, while in general microfiber behaves the worst in terms of heating and I try to avoid it. I only use wool and a sponge.
In this video I use microfiber on machines, soon a video with wool and all kinds of machines in real time. All this written is my experience and my view of everything, someone may not agree with this, but that's how I work and use equipment and machines.

@@autospadetailingstudio Hello, i like your method, cutting with rotary on wool/microfiber and finshing with foam on da. I also tried cutting and finishing with a rotary only. Compound and wool for cutting and extrafine polish with waffle finishing foam with great results. I saw online that makita machine you are using, its not as expensive as the rupes and flex machines, is it a 148 mm throw by any chance? Nice video btw, good content ;)

I see no difference in the end result useing them, l prefer the rotary, lm old school and it's much less nerve wracking to use
