I would have parked The genie behind the red Container. This would make the boom shorter. And if it could be parked so that the wheels was in the "welding direction" it would be even better.

Vi has nerves of steel. How he and you can casually just sit on the edge of a 30 foot drop is intense. at least you got a better lift than that POS you got the first time. you guys are steel workers extraordinaire.

I imagine it's good practice to ensure there's always one person not in the lift in case of failure! I think maybe a good idea to have a safety rope on board? The roof top is coming along very nice, one step closer to the finish line. 🏁🏁🏁

Very brave, i was in a lift 1x scared me bad but we used them to cut limbs off trees. Great job the deck will be amazing. Are you putting a outdoor staircase to get up and down without going through the house?

What are your plans for rooftop ventilation?
It will be a cold roof so we plan on using mainly soffit ventilation
Do you find the respirator mask unconformable to ware under your welding mask. Is that a 3M brand respirator mask? Great progress
I have a love/hate relationship with the respirator lol. I love that it prevents me breathing in the toxic fumes from welding the galvanized steel, but it is definitely not comfortable lol. Thank you!! :)

The amount of grinding you do is unnecessary with a MiG welder. It is designed for dirty metal welding. I have welded snow covered metal om a plow truck. Way too much work....

having watched your videos for awhile now. can really see y'alls skill progression, the comfort with the plasma cutter, even the mundane skill with switching out grinding disks, and use of other machines. all commendable. something as common as a roof, when it's finally done you will be able to look up at it, and remember all the work you put in.
