YES! Consistently is something children thrive on! We homeschool on the weekends too :)

I work 40 hours and homeschool my 2nd grader. I carve out 3 hours a day and whatever we get done, is what we get done. I can't stress over it or else I feel guilty if we don't get a lot done.

You are rockin' it! You also make such a good point! I (Stacey) sometimes find myself feeling guilty if my kids don't get something done, but I realize that there is always tomorrow. :)

I definitely have to block out time chunks for tasks or they don’t get done!

I work 4am to 8 to 8:30 am. I go to school Tues and Thur 8am to 5pm. and Friday 8:30am to 1:30 pm... then we both do karate most days of the week in the evening. Suggestions welcome. school and work is away from the home.

There are lots of questions we have before we could give you specific advice (what state you live in, number of kids and ages, what your childcare situation is, and your goals with homeschooling to name a few) but with that schedule I would recommend looking into open and go friendly curriculum (easy to take with you) and utilize weekends for learning as well.

Block scheduling seems to work best for me.

This sounds interesting! How does this work exactly? I used "block schedule" when I went to public high school, but I have a feeling you mean something different.

It is great for students to do independently while you are busy with another task or teaching another student.

Everything we mentioned in the video is linked in the video description. If you let me know what type of device you are using (mobile, computer, tv) I can help point you in the right direction.
