- [Rather Complex] How to fold a Jumping Mouse from a sheet of printer paper cut square. This origami mouse/rat jumps really well and it has fully articulated neck, mouth, arms and tail. When jumping the model make sure your finger does not land on the tail because otherwise it won't jump. The ears on the original model shown in the thumbnail are very big, and you might prefer it like that but in this tutorial I show you my newer version with ears that are smaller and more hollow and round instead of flat. I don't know which version looks better, but I'm wondering if adding smaller ears might make it look more like a rat. I recommend looking at a picture of an actual mouse (or cute rat) to help get the shaping more realistic-looking. I looked up " cute mouse pictures " on Google Images to help me design this model. It took me many many MANY tries before I was happy with the design. I've been working on this model for months! Designing origami models is really the art of perseverance!

Can you try designing joker's face from the movie with a single colour? I tried making changes to your origami scary clown but i did not succeed in making the eyes.
BTW i love playing with jumping models and this is one of my favourites.

You are AMAZING! This is SOO inventive!!! Kids will love ...as soon as I manage to make it from your very intelligent and clear instructions..... You are by far the most qualified teacher of paper folding that I have ever come across. Have you produced a book of instructions for children or adults like myself? You should ....I look forward to getting it if you already have. Most origami instructors on You Tube are unable to speak and show ...all at the same time.... this makes it very difficult for children to follow....or for adults too!! Good luck with your amusing and very interesting and challenging designs...You are evidently an engineer. Thank you for a wonderful experience watching this ....entertaining beyond belief. Your sense of humor adds sooo very much to the whole experience...it puts the watcher at ease and confident that one can manage to make this great model.

What was your first origami thing
My first design was a 5 headed bird from a blintzed bird base. I was trying to make John Montroll’s grasshopper and that’s what I ended up with instead.
I was about 10 years old.
