What a great teacher he is. He makes it clear for us non-photographers. Thanks for doing this video! It is of terrific help in researching my latest book.
I’m one of the people who cut his teeth on the Speed Graphic, as a military photographer, back in the late 50s. Took several thousand pictures on all kinds of conditions with a Graphic including coverage of an 8-week Air Cadet camp for PR. Used hlders, Grafmatic and Kodak film pack, in due time. Quite naturally, I processed my own work. Small goof! You have to flip up the rear sight, in order to use the front sight (wire frame) properly and guarantee accuracy of pointing the camera squarely at the subject. It also has parallax correction, of which you must be aware of. Also, I wish that he had demonstrated how the lens board is changed and the focal plane shutter slits, the drop bed and some of the swings, you are allowed 20 minutes of video Great job of explaining the camera though, I enjoyed it.thoroughly.
Awesome. Such memories of my grandfather. He used 1
