      @@BodilyFunction hes expected to have knowledge on the field of Spine SURGERY not spine manipulation. He works from inside whilst chiropractics work from outside, 2 completely different things and he REPEATEDLY states in his video that he doesnt claim to know anything about chiropractic therefore the "critics" were unfair, rude and misleading themselves. If you want knowledge in the topic go watch a video about a CHIROPRACTIC watching another chiropractic. Those were not constructive criticism they were people annoyed that they were on the wrong video. Do you need to degrade him to tell him to seek more information in a topic? Cause if you do then that's a problem with you not the criticised. Them saying that he was misleading is idiotic, seeing as he clearly stated to not take his word for such topics as he was requested repeatedly to react to these things and so he did.
      I dont mean to sound rude and as if I cant take criticism but idiotic behaviour is NOT criticism.

    • @BodilyFunction
      @BodilyFunction 3 роки тому +15

      @@MerdaDeCabelo I’d say me saying their criticism doesn’t make them all haters compared to this reaction is a bit of an overreaction from my point of view. However the one topic I would like to debate with you is wether or not he should have known about chiropractic services. As HE had mentioned in his own video, he always tries everything he can to see if he can help solve or mediate the issue WITHOUT surgery. Which implies that him having knowledge on other services and treatments for spinal issues outside of surgery is also part of his job. For him to have regarded chiropractic medicine as not a real or effective medicine before even looking into it before hand could be called negligence since he says himself that part of his job has to do with referring people with back issues that can be resolved without surgery. I think what he’s doing here is good but to say that the criticism in his first video is unjustified or “idiotic” because he’s a surgeon not chiropractor himself is just misleading and unfair as hell. He’s a professional, he has a large audience that generally look to him as a professional to hear his opinions on things and as a professional to say that another very legitimate profession is fake or doesn’t actually help is incredibly damaging regardless of if he told people not to take his word for it. People don’t seem to understand the kind of effect opinions of those in such specialized and advanced fields can have. He has considerable power whether he wants to or not and he should be more thorough in his research before giving opinions on things in his general field of study since many people will see them as a professional doctors opinion. I will find time stamps where he said multiple times that he tries to refer people out to help the issue WITHOUT surgery which implies he knows what can help with certain spinal ailments without needed specific surgical knowledge.

    • @BodilyFunction
      @BodilyFunction 3 роки тому +7

      1:39 2:42 8:00 I would also like to add that I don’t think he is bad or evil or has Ill intent. all I think is that the criticisms he received were completely legitimate and that he should do more research in these fields that are closely related to his own field of study before giving his opinion on them. I think this video is a good thing and something I wish more people would do after receiving legitimate non hateful criticisms.

    • @MerdaDeCabelo
      @MerdaDeCabelo 3 роки тому +19

      @@BodilyFunction I would say you have a valid argument, but to put the public audience as people who cant do things for themselves on his back isnt exactly fair. You're expecting him (a person who's definitely really busy) to have extensive research on a subject that has not been brought up to his attention other than youtube comments requesting it. A "criticism" saying that they're questioning his credibility on a subject he deliberately said that he has no credibility on is, put very simply, ignorant. They ignored the fact that he directly addressed his credibility in the subject which should entice YOU the viewer to go look for more credible source. To say that the viewers are just a bunch of followers with no ability to form opinions of their own based on their own research and use that as a reason to degrade someone's image is very simply not fair and again... ignorant of the part of the "critics". You're taking a very malleable piece of information and including it into the equation as a strict factor when it obviously has multiple forms.

Then after talking to him he was like well not actually sure it’s injured but we will know if we go in. Then scoffed when I said I wanted to try physical therapy first. Did 8 months of it for my shoulder and now I can lift and climb and do all sorts of things with no surgery.

    I freaking love going to the chiropractor.
    Around age 10, I was dog pilled & it burst a disc in my deep lumbar.. almost broke my back. The disc is now prone to slipping since one side is damaged. I lived with the slipped disc for several years. This was mostly due to ignorance. It got to the point that I couldn't move or sleep from the horrible pain, had headaches & was severely depressed.
    The first day I went in, I was exhausted and so mentally dead to life. When the doctor started tweaking me around, I could feel these weird static waves & pops through my body. I also really had to pee after. But when they slapped the little electro stimulus pads on my back & cranked up the machine, I had EUPHORIA. I cried due to feeling so pain free & relaxed after so many years. I actually fell asleep. I had to go back several more times to fix all my jacked up joints.
    Love it so much. I need to go back soon. My back is tweaking again. It's starting to affect my neck. 😒

      There’s more than some benefits to adjustment. (Google scholar)
      Chiropractors utilize conservative treatment approaches to care such as physical rehabilitation, adjustments, manual treatments and clinical nutrition. Some may have niches of concentration of their scope or of specific conditions. (Eg. Sciatica, bulging or herniated disc)
      Some DCs don’t even adjust because they use other conservative methods, where some only adjust, some do only musculoskeletal rehab, others do only clinical nutrition support, others do sports only, it all depends on the area of expertise, post doctoral education and concentration of the doctor of chiropractic
