    In this video, I review Ethique's Frizz Wrangler shampoo bar and The Guardian and Too Delicious conditioner bar. Ethique is a carbon neutral zero waste company. Ethique sells mini versions of their shampoo bars and conditioner bars. Ethique, is vegan, cruelty-free, palm oil free, and plastic free. Ethique has compostable packaging. I do like the Ethique shampoo bars and conditioner bars more than the Lush shampoo bars and conditioner bars. Information about these products can always change after the video is uploaded.

    Yay! I really like this brand. The frizz wrangler is great and does lather a lot! For shampoo bars, don't try to "lather" directly on the hair. Lather any shampoo bar in your hand. Then use the the lather to wash your roots directly. It is a "heavy" formula because it is meant for curly hair, which tends to be dry.

    • @StrollingThroughLife

      soy esayucateca Thanks for the tip! With my other bars, they lather directly on the hair. I’ll try lathering this one in my hands. The Frizz Wrangler is definitely good for dry and curly hair! Thanks for watching! 😊

    When I first started my low waste journey I thought shampoo bars were like the only option to be sustainable! They've definitely come a long way, but now I currently have a the access to a zero waste/package free shop and fill up in the bottles that I just reuse. I love watching these videos because I THINK I want to get bars again lol.

    About the lather: normal shampoo get those suds from an extra ingredient added called SLS. I’m assuming the reason the shampoo didn’t get super sudsy is because they didn’t use SLS in their products, which is actually a good thing.

    I like that your tried different conditioners in this video. I wish I got the little samples instead of the whole bars that I'm going through right now. I got the set I have at the beginning of this year and its still going. But the shampoo bar (Heali and Kiwi) has softened up a lot and so I feel like I'm going to go through it much quicker than the conditioner for that reason. I got the "Wonderful" set because my scalp was having problems at the time. When I'm done with them then I'm going to do the HiBar moisturizing since I feel like I need more moisture. My hair is fine and wavy and gets frizzy because of the humidity of where I live. Keep up the great work by reviewing for us!!

      Momiji Andres The mini bars are such a great way to try them! HiBAR is great!! But if you do want to try different bars from Ethique, I’d recommend the ones I tried! @@StrollingThroughLife Good to know! I will get the HiBar set and maybe get the samples of the ones you tried to see which one I end up liking more. Just because I have the same texture and all of that doesn't mean that it will work perfectly for me. Also I try to be as low maintenance as possible and try not to use so many products since I don't want to spend money and resources.

      @@StrollingThroughLife I don't put in any other product other than a little bit of oil on my ends (I use the squalene oil from the Ordinary because it dirt work for my skin). I tend to braid my hair while its damp (after washing or spritz a little water) since my natural wave pattern is really uneven (not in a good way) so I braid it to make it more even. Other than that I don't do much or I put it in a bun when I'm lazy.

I used to use Hi Bar, especially since its a local buisnessto me. They're just as good but I don't like the scents as much imo. They do, however, have dandruff shampoo which many people might want. They are also conscious with ph as ethique is

  • @highstepnightowl
    @highstepnightowl 2 роки тому +3

    I absolutely love Ethique's deodorant and their purple shampoo. But nearly all of their conditioner bars use coconut oil. Coconut oil does not absorb into the hair. It just sits on the outside of the hair shaft and rubs off onto other surfaces without softening the hair strand. It also insulates the hair from absorbing other oils that would soften and smooth the hair shaft.

      LuCKeySxXXx HiBAR and Ethique are both great. (I think I’ll always be a little biased towards HiBAR). But honestly, they both work really well! Ethique’s Too Delicious conditioner bar is slightly more hydrating. Also, Ethique’s shampoo bar leaves slightly more moisture/ a residue feeling after rinsing out. Thank you for your review and for supporting a New Zealand brand! Just fyi, the 'h' is silent. So it's pronounced more like "Etique".

    I have extremely hard water, and I just can’t get these to work for me. Tried different combinations 😔 I have a shower filter and even tried the vinegar rinse and it still feels waxy. Bums me out because I love the smell of them

      I have 2C/3A hair and have used the Frizz Wrangler. It worked really well in my hair, but was a bit "heavy" after too many frequent uses. So I would use it about one a week as a curl refresher. (I only wash my hair 2-3x a week.) I hope this helps.

    It might just be me but it appears the emphasis is on the looks of products these days rather than the reality of true minimalistic ideals, together with attempting to tell us all that we need a particular type of bar for a particular type of hair, other than dry/oily hair there's literally nothing else to tell, I've been using TillyOak's shampoo and conditioner bars for a few years now and they are truly no fuss, minimalistic, no fancy shapes, no false promises, plant based, vegan and 100% customer focused small bunch of honest guys, I would strongly recommend giving them a whirl as I'm confident you will find their products just as good, if not better, than most and at a fraction of the price, just saying :)

      Marko Polo I’ll have to check it out! I haven’t heard of it! The looks of a bar don’t matter. But the heart shape was unique. The importance is in how well they work for my hair. 😊👍 I’m glad you found something that works for you!

    Which shampoo and conditioner bars did you like the best? I'm trying to figure out which ones would be best for me but there are so many!!

    I have found NONE that cleans my oily scalp, any suggestion, please? I tried different methods to use them, everytime they need a rewash with a regular liquid shampoo. Actually a Clothes Wash Bar worked, also got rid of my conditioner-caused itchiness, but even if I could find it where I live, I'm scared to use it permanently.
