Asteroid City was so good, I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks after seeing it. Kills me so many people say they couldn't finish it. The final act of the movie is so important, if only because it sets a lot of things in the plot into focuses.

Astriod City (in my opinion) is not a "sit back and enjoy the film" movie. I found it very enjoyable when purposfully exploring the themes and how they are being communicated through the story. It was very pleasing to me.
If you go into it thinking its a normal movie, shayne and spencers reaction is what you get. Anybody that watched the trailer beforehand knew it wasnt straight forward at all. Sometimes i question the water in california.
Ok, hear me out. Honestly, I love Shane & Spencer. I think they are great at what they do. But personally, I think I probably would have enjoyed this video more if they had swapped either one for someone like Amanda or Ian. Granted I come from a family of film buffs (dad worked in studio camera production at Panasonic for roughly 27yrs) so I probably rather biased.

I mean in all fairness the raptors are a bit too shiny, and shouldve had feathers (though im aware they spliced frog genes in-canon which kinda helps explain that), but the raptor animation was really good from what i remember and the fact that they kinda chirped and made weird bird-like sounds was a cool touch. those movies have always kinda looked absurd lmao
