I would love to see more of this style of videos! Also, i was very shocked at the beginning because i thought for a bit that the guitar was the sample XD

Pancz is part multiband compressor, part distortion, part transient processor, and part exciter. I'm mainly using it for the multiband compression in this example.
Great video! I'm wondering if you can help me with something as long as you're okay with it. There's a very specific open hi-hat sound in a Sonic Riders song, the Babylon Garden theme. I know that most electronic drums in video game music come from the Roland TR-909 and Roland TR-808 drum machines, but the open hi-hat in Babylon Garden seems to come from neither, and I'm completely stumped. Do you know where that specific open hat comes from?
@@RameNoodls okay yeah i was super confused myself lol, took me awhile to think "oh wait yeah that'd be very unlikely" creator should've been more clear they removed the drum instruments from the track from the start lol
@@EeveeEuphoriaIn all fairness, the entire second half of the video is him explaining where the drums are from importing a bunch of drum samples and editing/processing them.
I see people often assume any acoustic instruments they hear are inherently live so this series is about showing how much isn't actually done in the studio. We know that stock loops are common because we're in the research community but not everyone even knows what a stock loop is
Of course Sonic would borrow samples from a sample pack named "Rock Very Fast"😂
gotta rock fast

it always comes back to Zero-G.
Every day, a new sample discovery is found 🔥
Never played Sonic '06. That's such a sick theme. Hopefully this game gets a[n official] remake where it isn't the quality I've heard it is.
Look up "Sonic P-06"
: )

Sonic Project 06
Official remake? We all know Sega only does remasters (Persona is Atlus btw).

this is sick!! would love to know what the chopped sample in the intro of white acropolis (snowy peak) is
Same for aquatic base level 1 and 2
yoo omgosh zeroh hi 🤗🤗
that was live recordes
As a Sonic '06 speedrunner, this shit is so cool. Nice find!
I find it interesting how even the prototype Invincibility uses the same sampled drums. This is super interesting to know!
This is gonna be a long journey, isn't it?
and then it was sampled by drake for KMT
I can't believe it... masaka...
No kidding when i say you are my biggest influence on music !
Awesome video! Looking forward to more in this series!
i can't see a sonic section aside from CD in the VGM docs?
yep keep doing this
what does that transient shaping plugin you used do? the pancz one?

@@NUKELEDGE thats pretty sex icl i may have to use my own plugins to try to replicate it fr does good work on that sample

Sounds like sonic x 😮
Always loved the Sonic 06 soundtrack, do you know where the Aquatic Base drums came from?

@@NUKELEDGE Amazing! Thank you
Good find!
Wait are those the same drums samples used in the sonic x song?
god i thought the guitar was stolen for a sec
stolen? you mean sampled?
whoa
Ooh! :D
when do you estimate you'll be finished with the user submitted song remix vid?
Whenever I have an idea for the next one
Wait, the WHOLE main riff, used across the entire main theme iterations, is a Sample?
Wait, I did not realise until later that we are just talking about drums here
where could i get total rex?
Late here, but can you post all the Rock drum loops somewhere? I can't find them anywhere...
Wait so technically the MAIN THEME of 06 is partially taken from another source???
HIS WORLD IS STOLEN?????? Oh my God…
No the drum in the bg of the invincibility is just sampled

It's rick and morty time
Finally stopped being lazy
No offense, but not sure how this is supposed to be interesting. A video game soundtrack having stock drum loops is like a week having a thursday
