Love you guys. The Mark's. I have about ten of your magazines and I was featured in one with my friends dog who has markings that resemble NJ. Someone stole that magazine from me and I can't find it. Can ya help me find it so I can buy another one. Thanks. My name is Denise S. Also what magazine has the story about Edna Mahan being haunted? I'd like to buy that one as well. Thanks again. Great jobs boys! Oh I have a Tillie glass art that always makes me think of Asbury park and the years I spent there running four haunted rooming houses. I owned the sterling inn in front of convention Hall and the Berkeley Carteret. YUGE house. Four stories high. Haunted by the black servants. They were hired when the place was built and it was built about 120 years ago. Beautiful mahogany staircases and floors. But the bottom is in the basement where the washer and dryers were was haunted. Many of my tenants said they would see black servants. I don't know I never went down there and saw anything but I did hear a few things whispering in my ear I thought one day. I didn't get any kind of bad vibe off of it. But yeah I know a lot about Asbury Park. And I know where all the hot spots are that are haunted. I was walking through convention hall back in '89 and I could have swore that I saw a couple people on the beach that were on fire running up towards the land. I didn't think much of it but I told you friends just to get it off my chest. And one of them says that's morrow Castle ship. I said I'll look into it. So not only did I learn about them on fire and dying on that Beach but I went down to Beach Haven and got a whole rundown from their yacht club on that ship and about that day. Very very sad. The merry go round building, you can hear children laughing inside of it. One of these Ghost adventures shows went to I believe a building on main Street that has a portal apparently to hell. The whole place is haunted because the people that came over here like Mr Bradley and Mr Asbury and all that, were heavy-handed preachers and control the area as if everybody was their slave and their servant. So the energy of the land is corrupt. Ocean Grove is completely haunted especially where Captain Kidd is supposed to have either left his gold there or something like that I can't remember. But there's a little Park about two blocks in and it's called Captain kidds park and it's got a little sign. Crazy time huh. I've rented to thousands of people and they all tell me the same thing about the same places. And what's really weird is because crack ran rampant in the 80s in Asbury and destroyed everybody. I used to have people knocking on my door saying I saw on this ghost I saw this ghost. And more likely than not it wasn't the crack it was an actual ghost. I don't know. But that's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL. Hit me back okay, one of you marks, so I can get those two magazines please. Thank you so much for your time.
Hey Denise, thanks for the kind words! With so many issues under our belt now it does get hard to remember exactly what stories/photos appeared in which issue (even for us). When I want to find a specific item I do a search through our online store (store.weirdnj.com), because if you type in something like "Edna Mahan" there is a good chance it will tell you exactly what issue that appeared in. Actually I just did it and the story was featured in issue #27.
Looking forward for more
Very Cool !
Thank you very much. Can you believe this never made it to TV? Go figure.
Why do you post the best shizz my brother? From a former Bedminster home owner back when it was affordable. TY.
It was really something 30 years ago. Now the Hunt is filled with drunken guidos starting fights. So sad 🥲
@@samanthab1923 seriously? That’s sad
@@MrHubbmuscle Yup, I’m in Bucks Co. but went in the 80’s. Read about it in the Hunterdon Democrat.
@@samanthab1923 that’s awesome! My parents are from Doylestown. Mom was Pebble Hill Road. Dad was East St. 👍
@@MrHubbmuscle Small world. My parents didn’t grow up there but they lived on W. Court St. right across from the HS.
