Man, I want that blower on my 16 z06. Is the ZL1 still on stock fuel system and how much boost?
Stock fuel system with a cam for the upgraded fuel lobe. The low side is upgraded but it is not needed for pump gas at this level.

WOW!! Where did this guy get his roll bar setup and I thought you guys were using black steel braided lines for the interchiller? What exact exhaust is he running, did you guys remove the small crushed area in the exhaust?
This car doesn't have the interchiller... Yet.

So when Texas speed builds the LT motors do they address the thrust issue? Guessing they modify the block or w/e needs done to put a full thrust bearing in there?

That's a great question! A loaded question but a great question! I think if you asked CSP and RPM that question that you would get two different answers.
I like both. Personally I like the Magnuson better for the extra torque and better gas mileage.
@@completestreetperformance How does the Magnuson get better fuel economy?
The internal bypass valve of the Magnuson allows the blower to basically free spin. A procharger is always putting in the work to compress the air and then vents it off with no way to truly bypass the compression. So the higher the rpm, the more horsepower needed to spin the blower even when "not in boost" will kill gas mileage.
The thrust bearing issue. I never knew about that. Now I'm curious if Hennessy ever did anything to that for the exorcist.
I doubt it. It's only like 1000 engine horsepower which is roughly 800 rwhp.

what kind of roll bar is that?
Very interesting car. A convertible zl1 with a huge blower...... beautiful and no doubt a fast car. But the tow-hook thingy........ I've only seen those on stock 4 cylinder cars. Is it used to get pulled out of ditches or something? I don't know what they are for? Anyone know? 13:23
A lot of ZL1 guys add it for looks. There is a factory detachable tow hook that goes in the same spot.

The tow hook is basically a road race accessory. If you spin out off the track they have a way to hook a strap and get you on pavement. No damage and quick and easy

How about a Magnuson 2650 install on a C6 ZR1??????
Not available. The C6 ZR1 is a pretty dang good blower though. Just get it all done up by Kong.

Yes, although it wouldn't be worth it. Would be about twice as capable than the engine could handle. And about 3 times more than the factory fuel system could deliver on the stock camshaft.

There is a drop in rod and piston set that will take you pretty far. It won't solve the main thrust bearing issue, unless you change it at that point. Personally, if you were going to put this on, you will want a built engine. Otherwise you would be happy with even an LT4 upgrade.

So I have bought about 90% of my parts from you, and if I order my 2650 and valve covers from you, will you throw in your fuel line?
We would need the car in person.
Living my dream to have a shop (maybe) but using the concrete floor instead of a shelf rack or tables with the dust blowing about brings a cringe.
We don't organize and clean to impress people but to keep our engine internals clean.
It hurts to see the open ports supercharger laid on the concrete floor. Yep, you are correct I don't have a car or garage and live in moms basement. God forbid.

So Maggie > Edelbrock... again... like damn, even with the LS blowers Maggie's and Whipple's spank Edelbrock's... so yea... damn.
I would say Maggie and Edelbrock are the superior (at least their 2650) blowers compared to the Whipple. Each has their trade offs though. The Maggie has better cooling by far, but the Edelbrock is set up for port injection and is a much easier install. Both are far superior to the Whipple which seems to be only slightly more capable than the factory blower.
Manual trans ZL1 convertibles must be rare.

With the maggy 2650 you are limited to no port injection.
I'm told it can fit on the Camaro, but I don't see how.

@@ElijahWash yes. And unfortunately it has to run as a piggy back system as no aftermarket computer can run the DI injectors without burning up.
