everything gotta load just like if youre loading a drum program... i noticed alot of mpc users were kinda tripped out by the "loading" initially when thats how they were always loading samples 🤣 i think ppl were expecting the "instruments" to be a ROMset like in a workstation from a roland, korg or yamaha etc. akai kept it 100% a sampler
The MPC Key61 took less than a minute to boot up despite its multi gigabyte on board sound library, unlike the Korg Kronos and Nautilus which have a pathetically slow boot up time of almost 3 minutes! Well done Akai and booo to Korg!

If you only could have 1 Workstation to produce your music would it be your Fantom 06 or the Akai 61 Key?
Probably the Akai MPC Key 61.. it has everything I would need to get it cracking lol 😆
Congratulations fellow MPC keys owner, how are you enjoying the keybed so far? Did it come with any flaws for you? Mine had a flaw in one of the keys but it slowly vanished as I hammered on it, try testing by running your fingers over it back and forth and see if one or more has a too high velocity, kinda curious to how many units fresh from the factory has this.

I had that issue on mine too. One key that was overly sensitive, and two that were impossible to max out. I was so bummed thinking i had to return it, but it corrected itself after some playing.

For the hardrive u installed how do u get the sounds on the drive or do the drive connect to the computer via usb??
Once installed. Drive connects via usb. Add your files on the drive from there.

Does it have auto tune in your voice
It doesn’t have “auto-tune” but it does have a vocal suite with plugins effects that can manipulate your voice. Check out some YT videos on the MPC vocal suite plugins to see if that helps.
