I feel PPF is not good in 2024, 7.1 percent is too lessand 15 years lock-in period is too much. FD , MF even if you pay tax it will help you in emergency. PPF won't help you in emergency. 3 years FD gives more interest than PPF.

Interest is calculated based on pro-rata basis. If you invest monthly then your you won't get exactly the amount in SBI bank. Please confirm if this right.
