I like your bump stops on the rear suspension although I think using elastomer would be a little less maintenance but you seem to be going for ultrascale. Very nice truck
Nice work, can you recommend a good video on how to braze 3d structures like chassis and cages? I'm familiar with tube bending and fabrication just not in this scale. Looks like allot of fun. 👍🏻
Unfortunately, I do not. It's certainly easy enough for those who have spent anytime in a shop fabricating. It's important that the joints are tight so that the brazing material flows correctly - although I doubt many, when building these cages, were as anal about the joints as I was. I purchased all of my brazing material (and raw materials) from McMaster.com. If you need specific links, let me know.
1 to 1 i am sure i would have to change a few little things to build it but its not as expensive as people think to build one a 1 to 1 trophy truck u should build one i am going i think your rc truck is a good desighn
Hey Joseph love the videos I’m gathering up the parts to start my own build I am curious of what size are those internal spring shocks are they 125 MM or? Thank you very much if you could let me know please thank you
Hi Joseph it’s Gilbert again sorry to bother you one last question does anybody make the rear brake lights that I can buy or do I have to make them like you did and also where can I get that radiator out thanks bud
Hey Gilbert - sorry for the late response. Check eBay for the rear lights and radiator. There are quite a few different options, although none of them were right for me. I designed and built my lights/rad specifically to my truck's cage dimensions and isn't applicable to other trucks, unfortunately. The one radiator I used before I created my own was from another kit, which I probably picked up on eBay.
I created/drew every part from scratch except for two things - the springs that I used on the shocks and the nitro engine. I downloaded the springs from Revit City which I then tweaked to work for me. I downloaded the engine from some 3D site - it wasn't a Revit family so I wasn't able to modify it much, but it worked well for sizing purposes.
I wish o could get some blue prints from u of the tube work i plan on building a real trophy truck. Soon but i really have no idea what i am doing i figured i can just copy some ones nicely desighn rc truck let me no thank u
which 3D print are you referring to? I printed a few different custom pieces that I designed? Brake carriers, light bar, radiator/fans or the storage box?
The piece you were saying was laser printed and wasn't sure how it was done, I believe the brake. Since this comment, I did some research and I believe that is SLS printed which is a powder. Could be the resin bases SLA, both look good but SLS is awesome.
For exsample big company who have a unlimited budget to build a 1 to 1 trophy truck use chomaly tubeing wich is around 500.00 dollers for a 20 foot stick of tubeing or i could just build it out of normal d.o.m tubeing wich most people use for roll cages is only 65.00 dollers for 20 foot stick of tubeing thats just one exsample
Bailey my friend, I do have plans for this truck. Check out my other videos. I stripped the truck down and am in the process of rebuilding it. I'll eventually get the videos of the rebuilding process posted but am a little far behind.
i wish i knew why everyone does average TTs? i would looove to see an Explorer *Pre Runner* or some form of SUV or Jeepspeed. If i had a garage, id be all over that shit. Apartment in Anaheim= No space and broke 24/7!
I'm sure there's a lot of pre runner builds out there as well. TT's are just the pinnacle of offroad trucks and there's a ton of information online both from the real and RC TT trucks to help recreate such an impressive truck
Your truck is perfect! And i think, electro conversion - good idea. Anyway, small 2 stroke engine doesn`t sound good. Maybe some 4 stroke V type engine is good choice for scale trophy track, something like this ua-cam.com/video/oq12IwqYryk/v-deo.htmlm2s
Still running the nitro center diff/trans so there is no electric braking. The only way to brake is by using the center diff brake (from the original nitro setup) which wasn't enough for the weight of the truck. It needed front brakes.
looks great, would love to try that brake system
The overall feeling is great
Excellent work Joseph! Well thought out and executed. 🤙🏼
Thank you!
Beautiful truck. 👍👍for your talent

yah, in this case, it was all about scale. Thanks!

I'd just clean up the frame and clearcoat it, hate to hide all the awesomeness

very cool truck 👍👍
Thanks!

Thanks, Gilbert! Yup, those are Hot Racing 125mm internal spring air shocks. They run about $25 USD on ebay.
Hey Joseph thank you very much for the info I really appreciate it
This is so cool, may i ask whats the part number of those springs for powerstroke? Thanks
LOSB2962
Nice 👍👍👍
good nice

where'd you find the files for the buy out parts for the Revit model you have on the forums?

as detailed as your files were I figured you had. looks like I'll be doing the same in solidworks then!
wondering where you got your rims on ebay wondering if you can gimme the item description or link thanks
www.alientac.com/
or check out their ebay store: stores.ebay.com/ALIENTAC
I wish my traxxas slash raptor 2wd had brakes

when you say real trophy truck, do you mean RC or 1:1?
Intrested in that 3d print. Can you find out what it's called?

ambitious for sure.
Blueprints? Pics something to go off of?
Дисковые тормоза,это круто!!!
Thanks - they work pretty well. I need to keep experimenting with different designs & setups to see if I can get them to perform even better.
how big is the rear axel↔️
this is the metal concepts axle, approx. 9.875" wide from drive nut to drive nut: www.metalconceptsrc.com/shop/tt10-rear-solid-axle
Bro idk If you still respond but I’m currently building mine. I could use some advice if your still around thanks.
Yup - still around. How can I help?
😎✌🔧
How much do you charge me for making a personalized one?
I wish I had the time build and sell these but I don't, sorry.
@Joseph Stampfl do you have plans for this car?
Bailey my friend, I do have plans for this truck. Check out my other videos. I stripped the truck down and am in the process of rebuilding it. I'll eventually get the videos of the rebuilding process posted but am a little far behind.
thanks will watch the vids

Too badd, it went to electric, cuzo I waz lookin to make one from my 1/8 d8t 😭
do it.
That truck is bad a$$
How much to build me a chassis? Lol!!
Sorry, Brian. I don't think I'll be building anymore. Check out Cyconxc - he has a website and sells a full cage/chassis.
Joseph Stampfl I have one from him lol!!! It's awesome!! Thank you though!!!!
Nice. And now you want another one?
Joseph Stampfl heck yeah!! Lol!!!
Love, the truck hate you pussed out to electric I'm done watching
haha - it is what it is.
