    Looking good. I run the 550 castle 4 pole but its geared really high to make up for the gear reduction. Also, I might look into making a custom front shock mount because the stock rustler one is at a horrible angle for long travel. Awesome video!

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому

      Oh you run the 550? So the 2400kv? If it is that's a great motor, it can handle a lot of heat. But for your shocks you should definitely look into getting the protrac tower. It has wider mounting spots so it sets it up much nicer. That's what I used to use. But thanks!

    • @HowlingRcnetwork
      @HowlingRcnetwork 10 років тому

      Okay ill look into it. The can is 550 length but the diameter is still 540 its a nice motor. Its super torquey but I wish it had higher top end like my 3800 kv 540.

    Ever thought about using the scale King shocks? They are sick bypass shocks.

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому

      Not really. They aren't long enough and I didn't like that they were blue. They are pretty cool though.

    • @epicalbanian23
      @epicalbanian23 10 років тому

      CyconXc Wouldnt you be able to paint them a diff color? ive seen some red and green ones. both custom tho..

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому

      epicalbanian23 I'm not sure. They only way that it would last is if you anodized them. I would think about it, but I couldn't match the front ones in the rear.

    • @epicalbanian23
      @epicalbanian23 10 років тому

      I figured, use the kings for the rear for the scale look..?

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому

      epicalbanian23 No that's the problem, they would be too short. My rears right now are 145mm xD

    Hello are you still building these? Your frame design is outstanding! I have 40 years sand dune experience. ATV/UTV, Sandrails. Done it all. I live on the sand. I'm into RC too and this rail design I'm interested in. I know what it would take to build the most amazing RC sandrail. I can see some little changes needed with trailing arms/a arm/weight distribution for extreme running but frame is great. How can I get a frame like this?

    Awesome again!
    I hope you don't get asked this all the time, but are you going to put in a driver figurine?

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому +2

      Thanks! I've only been asked that once, but I do plan on making an interior. I'm going to mold the main shape with foam and then vacuum form it with lexan. After that I'll put the driver/co-driver on top :)

      No everything thing is still in the old one. I might make a summary page though, that has pictures of the finished truck along with specs.

  • @Rubostli
    @Rubostli 10 років тому

    What do you think about silversoldering a shassi together, will it be strong enough. Thinking about making a Bryce Menzies red bull trophy truck

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому

      Ruben Ostli Nope that won't be strong enough. Only options to make a cage are brazing, or TIG/MIG welding.

    • @Rubostli
      @Rubostli 10 років тому

      CyconXc what is different with brazing?

    • @CyconXc
      @CyconXc  10 років тому

      Ruben Ostli Brazing is usually done with brass, but instead of welding them you use flux and a blow torch. Look up a couple videos.

    is there a way we can pay you to make just the cage? you make the best cages I have seen, and I dont have a welder or the money or space to buy a whole welding setup, when its just to do one or two projects, I would rather just pay someone a couple hundred for the cage and that be it! :D
