- Bit of a meta selection today, I felt like playing the bad bois of the game so we have a little bit of an advantage through unit selection. The Stalwarts are often described (even by me) as mega Pike Militia which is very true and they work great like that but it's not the only way you can use Stalwarts. I very often see units of them sitting in block formation even though the team very much needs a shieldwall, so today we are going to be doing the things properly!

Season 7 was a massive success, hopefully the momentum keeps going :)
The fact cav with their long lances can easily charge up or down stairs without being hampered while pikes are completely useless is one of those needlessly frustrating things CB just has so many of.
One day pikemen will be able to learn to tilt their weapons slightly. We have the technology!

Great video! I want that arrow rain ability but dont want to risk my treatise on archers :p. Trying my luck to get the leadership doctrine from the cav one tho. Anyway keep up the good work!
They did not add the leadership doctrines when they added the epics on the non frontier servers
Jimmys right, no leadership doctrines on my.games, i have also not seen one for a very long time on booming, but, trust me thats a good thing. I have seen 3x T5 cav before.
i love how you are not to toxic with your leadership other people would take 2 T5 its nice that you don't
I really just love having the variety in the infantry :)
Also, cav stomp videos are a dime a dozen and back charging with hussars to kill a hundred units or putting pavise in a corner and ignoring them while they rack up kills is actually not that impressive. Upskilling with infantry is much more interesting.

Can anyone tell me if it's normal to wait >10min for anything other than Seige Battles? I am on the South American server.
Siege battles are the core of the player experience, they seem to be the most popular game mode by an extremely large margin so it's just a matter of more people want to play so queues are shorter. In saying that, ten mins is very long time to wait - it may be local player count is still growing in your region
@@KnightStalker Thanks for the reply!! I don't have a local server so I had to choose between Asia, South America, and the Middle East server. I chose the SA server because I figured it would have more English-speaking players. Starting to think I should have joined the Asian server which might have more players.

Just asking but why is it suicidal to go up the left side? (I’m a new player)
left side can be much better defended. most of the time, youll have to go up against fortebraccios and/or falconetti as well as musket and cav
I wouldnt say straight up suicidal but its just much harder to push up the left side because of how the map is designed. Other commenters are correct, theres a ton of defendable space up there and the other side is just easier imo.

Any clue if the 200 block and 200% block recovery is better than the 400 block increase?
I prefer the recovery bonus if I had to choose. It gets the shield back up more quickly and takes less damage because of it. 200 block is a lot.
@@KnightStalker damn quickly reply thanks!😂 I’m stuck between those two doctrines because I want to remove one to get more damage. Currently I have those two doctrines, breakthrough, brace damage and the purple 100+ defense on everything. I just feel like the two block doctrines are overkill and I’m not killing as hard as it used to be.

I appreciate the longsword I think you are wrong about it though I think it's supposed to be the absolute front line
I think it has that use, too. Though I like the idea of protecting the back troops. The ability to stop charges is incredibly helpful for keeping them alive. It has multiple uses and frontline definitely outshines other classes in it.
However you enjoy playing is the right way :) LS can def be configured for this role but I've found for my playstyle at least that this works very well for me.

I'm CC only for My.Games. As far as I can tell Booming aren't running an active CC campaign - you can point me in the right direction if you find anything :)
But yes, it is unusual to play on one server and CC for another. Guess I'm just special :)
I see a lot of moments when he says " I won't escape here alive." but if he had read the situation then he could have turn and ran 2 seconds earlier and been fine. As a longsword player myself, there is nearly never a reason to die.

Dont agree. Sometimes there is a reason to die as a LS. Its a team game and you are supposed to be in front with units (as long they live) and then you to pull DPS and attention to allow team to focus more doing kills than defending themself.
Agree, the game is much more dynamic than ensuring you don't die and often requires risk for reward
Random seige player s don't deserve this man. Enjoy your playstyle but sometimes teammates just bring too many ranged units.
Its a problem we all face. People just play units they like or are levelling. Just gotta do the best with what we have :)

Yup. Certainly not ideal.
I really hope they develop the units to tilt a pike 45* and face up a slope.
