I miss dad and his war stories, you Vietnam vets are all getting up there in years and there should be someone to tell all you soldiers stories, honestly and fairly for the next generation.......

I had come back from serving in Germany I am a Vietnam era vet. At the bar was a kid in uniform ready to go to Vietnam. Old enough to die for this country or get wounded yet too young to get beer. I attended our Memorial Day parade where Vietnam vets were honored. Too late but at least honored.

@@phillipasalisbury3070 Thank you very much. I did not serve in Vietnam just during that period of time. BUT every service member should be thanked. Every job is pivotal not just combat. I have heard people say thank you for your service more like they were saying 'have a nice day'. Not all that sincere. The biggest sacrifice is being away from home. Some in foreign countries. But thank you very much for your wishes. In my case not late but greatly appreciated.

I’m so grateful for every veteran that serves even the Vietnam veterans. My husband was spit on and his spirit always carried that one scare because he was raised a patriot🇺🇸CW2 James Dale Kennemer joined & was not drafted. Dale became a pilot and saved and also killed gallantly for his country to saving others also! I’ve always love this video💁‍♀️❤️🇺🇸It’s very moving 💓Now my husband lives InMemory on VVMF & somewhere on here & I have the orange heart memorial dedication too🧡 thank you for all veterans that run across his feed I am nickname The WHOTUS✨ Dale’s called me because he is 2nd star on right & I am is Tinker Bell💫💫🧚‍♀️ When he met me this name was dubbed upon me “Who’s that girl” a.k.a. Marie...#WHOTUS🌹🇺🇸💫💫🧚‍♀️

As a Marine, Vietnam veteran ('68-'69), whenever someone says "thank you for your service", my immediate reaction is: "What does this f*cker want out of me?". Then I just say "you're welcome" and continue on my way.

Vietnam veterans were more than disrespected. Some felt so bad they simply melted, as best they could, into society. Vietnam and the middle eastern wars are nothing more than protecting our interests. Access to oil. From halting the spread of communism to ISIS it is just a game to get oil or access to it or other needed materials.

My Dad was an Irish UN peacekeeping soldier in the Congo. He saw combat in a hostile country but has never been thanked for his service. I envy the way US veterans are treated with respect. Not so much here.

As an American I thank ALL of our friends and allies who served and shed their blood with us....I saw another video of funeral services of returning KIA from Afghanistan... I saw caskets with the following flags on them: Great Britain 🇬🇧 Canada 🇨🇦, Australia 🇦🇺 GERMANY 🇩🇪 POLAND 🇵🇱. I assume the Kiwis were in the fight but didn't see a New Zealand flag in the other video...as the great bard said in Henry V: "we few, we very few. We band of Brothers. For he(she) that sheds their blood with me is my brother (or sister)" I added sister to Shakespeare for the girls are dying for us too now....I EVER hear anyone badmouth my brothers and sisters and allies; well they WILL get an old fashioned American crack in the jaw...

I'm an American and I think I can see why we might show or have respect for veterans. The MIL-IND complex socially engineered war into our minds through decades of American TV and Advertising.
