- We test the Zero Breeze, Mark 2 2300 BTU Portable Air conditioner in our Jeep Wrangler TJ without the factory AC Option. As ridiculous as it looks, it actually does a decent job at being a personal cooler. You can also use this device for tent camping, overlanding, van life, truck life, or even at outdoor sporting events during the hot summer months. Lots of uses for this device, but whether it's worth it, we will leave that up to you.
We bought this cheap Jeep Wrangler SE to show that you don't need to buy a fancy, expensive wrangler to have some fun. Follow us as we turn this little jeep into an overland, light duty off roader. Be sure to hit that subscribe button so you never miss any of our content.

11:00 Aleen shut that down real fast! If using the cooler dehumidified air already cooled in the Jeep for the inlet air, wouldn't it keep cooling down more and more as it cycled?
Check out anothher comment on this video to see my explanation :)
You said you never use the AC with the top off…lol. I run the ac on full blast with the top and doors off. It’s hot here in Florida and it’s nice to feel the ac breeze when at a stop light.
An air conditioner kit for specific vehicles is cheaper, unless you use it for camping too I guess
It's about 1200$, it reduces the HP of the engine, reduces the MPG (even when not in use) and can't be taken camping, outdoors, etc.
@@Garagecouple good point. I forgot it's a 4 banger too. You don't want to lose any power
It's $266 for all the AC parts to actually add AC to your Jeep. That saves about $1000 and takes up no room in your Jeep.
I love your videos, but this thing doesn’t belong on a Jeep. Expensive, uncomfortable. I just got a AC kit for my Jeep for half the price (brand new)😅
The MIT for the 2.4L is about 1200$ + a lengthy install. Didn't want to tap into the low HP 2.4L. This way, we can use it during the summer and then also when we go camping. Pretty clutch having a tent cooler.
I just got a JT and I am really excited to mod it it a bit. BTW I really like all the projects and I am looking forward to the LJ.
Congrats on the JT! Thanks for the kind words!
Let’s go!!!
Let's go!!!
love your video, i have mark2, I think it is a wonderful machine, It runs great and is performing nicely.
Thanks for sharing! It's expensive but can be worth it!
Yall should also check out the Ecoflow Wave 2
Will do!
I my self...NEVER use the Ac...
I was wondering if this is really a Jeep mod or just a joke ?!? - anyway, I appreciate your work and nice videos!
Lol! Looks funny but works! Can't think of any other way to get Cold air in a jeep with no factory AC. Open to suggestions
@@Garagecouple take the softop windows off and go above 30 mph, good breeze.
Thats what the old jeeps are all about.
@grandtheftundead6634 we have 4 jeeps lol. Just trying to do something different. Obviously too down/ doors off is another option but it's been 110+ degrees here still miserable. Lol
@@Garagecouplejeep air ac kits for Jeeps.
@@coloradomallcrawlers about 1200$ and takes a weekend to install...takes away HP and MPG...
I really love u guys and your videos. But this one is crazy ridiculous. 🤦🏼♂️
Hahahah
I always see your videos. I thought I was subscribed.😅
Very cool but kinda weird lol
Lolll
Hello from Spokane WA!
Hello there!
wouldn't it be better to cancel the "fresh air hose" since that's gonna be hot air that needs to be cooled and let it suck in the already cooled air inside the cabin thus making it more efficient????
So it might appear to be but it isn't. If you don't have a fresh air hose you create an air pump, essentially pumping air from inside to outside, causing hot outside air to draft in. Same concept with home portable AC
Wouldn't keep the Jeep cooler if the fresh air intake just sucked air from inaide the jeep? Rather than from the hot air outside?
This is a good question! So here's the answer. It has two I takes. One from inside one from outside. The reason it needs one from outside is because if you use inside air, and vent exhaust air outside, you create a net vacuum inside which causes hot, non AC air to leak inside through all the cracks and crevices. The purpose of the exterior intake is to prevent that from happening and while it certainly takes more energy to cool down, it's overall better than the air that would leak in.
That’s too funny 😂there are many junk jeeps with factory air
Yes there are but it's one heck of a job
Not many people wana rip their dash out to install that.
