The best comment so far. They won't change unless sales are affected. The good news is that thing has just started. 5 Series sales figures are 20% down compared to 2023 first half.
I love it. It’ll be my 3rd X3. The criticism is silly relative to what you get with this mid size SUV. The B58 engine alone is a reason to buy it, and now US finally gets better seats.
You can’t be serious. This car has been cheaply made comparing to the current model , even my friend said the same and he works at BMW where they make these… this is foolery comparing to its predecessor. The only thing that’s good is the B58 which I love dearly , but I won’t be getting this x3 I’ll be getting the M340
You can get the B58 with the X5, M240i, M340i, M440i, 540i, X740i!! This new X3 is horrible! The older version looked stronger and sportier, this looks like an overgrown wagon- lowering the height- the most foolish thing ever!!!
@@abpakdeep this will continue to be the best selling mid size luxury SUV. Guaranteed. I actually also own an X5, and for the $10k more I expect a bit more luxury, but for my X3 I want sportiness and less boat feel. My M340 did not have the utilitarian functions that I want, space and ride height, but it was great for me pre kids. Glossy black plastic on the doors isn’t a reason to not by a great car like this, and the hvac and radio functions are quite easy to get used too. I’m currently in my lease x3M40 which is almost fully loaded , but I must say I am not in love with this new one.. no Ambient lighting in the rear, no red seat opt, no retractable pano roof, you can’t get the jet black wheels with the hi performance non RF tires, and I hate the body lines of this vehicle. I’ll be going with the M340i this time. BMW lost me with this one. I love my current model.
Yeah I have one as well. The ambient lighting was one of the things I like best in 2024 - on all doors, under seats and even in the door storage areas. From all videos I’ve seen it appears they don’t have any ambient lighting except for the weird console and front door lights. Also noticed rear windows don’t roll down completely either!
@@jhelinski really the rear windows don’t roll all the way? Oh no BMW can forgot about me in the x3 segment. I’m over it. I was going to get a GLC before the M40 but ended up getting the x3 M40. Has anyone ever asked for an aggressive-looking BMW? Aggressive couldn’t be further from the BMW brand. The previous design was beautiful. They ruined this car. It looks like a transformer. I’m a current X3 owner who had hoped to trade it in for the 2025. Now I’m headed to Mercedes.
I like the design but BMW seems to be lagging massively with their engine options. The Japanese and Koreans are offering mild hybrids, PHEVs and EVs and BMW is offering a 48 Volt system and asking for premium fuel? Esp the latest X1. Not even a 48 volt system with the X1.
I was holding out for the new X3 and man, what a HUGE disappointment. The exterior looks terrible and the interior is a major letdown. I can't say I'm surprised though since BMW has been making poor styling choices across the product range. I'll be spending my money elsewhere.
I have to say, I have a 2024 BMW X3 and think it look much nicer on the inside than this does. It looks too much like the X1. Maybe it will be better in person.
Other than the paint and I'm sure the performance, everything else is a downgrade to me. The interior is too bland, especially the front passenger side. It just feels like something is missing. The cupholders location is awkward. The sport steering wheel on the M50 is OK, although the flat portion is a bit too big imho. But the steering wheel on the base trim is straight weird. It's not round at the top, making it look like some multi angles shape. The tail lights overflow on the body side is also awkward. It would have been nicer to leave it at the arrow shape without the awkward rectangle-ish part that doesn't light up. Keeping my 2023 X1. The redesign on that one actually makes sense. Everything is of good measure and proportion. Hopefully by 2029 BMW won't mess up the X5.
As a longstanding BMW owner of 30+ years it pains me to say that BMW are losing their way in the premium sector with cheap looking, sparsely equipped and expensive model updates. Nothing excites me in the range whereas Audi seem to be designing and producing technologically improved vehicle lineup which is greatly appealing.
