The wines are: Foncastel Picpoul de Pinet 8.99, Rosa dell’Olmo Gavi 9.99, Casone Toscano 10.99
Thank you for the details. I have a $9.99 Trader Joe's 2022 Reserve Rasteau I'll suggest. Now I have a couple new ones on the TJ list. Thanks.
Another fun episode ! Please take my comments as professional advice. Pull the camera or zoom back a schmidge so we can see the wines in glass. Can only see the glass when you lift it to taste. I spend half of the year about 15 minutes from the Etang de Thau where Picpoul is grown. There is nothing better than sitting at a town dinner nearby with a huge bowl of Brasucade, steamed mussels from the Etang, a bit spicy , with another huge bowl of Frites and mayo on the side. Several bottles of Picpoul chilling nearby.
thanks for the advise, you will see in new videos that I have modified the shot to include the wine glasses.
Fantastic video, your crushing it! I really appreciate your reviews of sub $10 bottles that are easily findable. Your Aldi, Trader Joe's, and Costco videos have been extremely helpful. Thank you! Please keep it up.
Thank you for watching and please tell you friends.
I appreciate the reviews of affordable wine. Your videos take away the risk of buying a sub-par or bad tasting wine for people on a budget. What you are doing, whether intentional or not, is helping to bring wine into the lives of people of lesser means.
That is so awesome. I am glad you enjoy my videos, stay tuned, and please subscribe and tell your friends!
This was fun! I always learn so much from you. Please keep up the great work.
thank you for watching!!!
Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Can’t beat the TJs old world wines Monday-Thursday. Great value - thanks for the Casone Toscano recommendation, haven’t tried it but will do so!
Good wine for the money
When I worked at TJ’s I introduced many customers to Picpoul, especially for seafood. The customers bought more!! My story about Casone is my doctor (new to wine), was very interested in Tuscan wines. I gave him this Casone. He didn’t like it because it was too dry. Hmmm. I told him to give up on Tuscan wines😆.
HAaaa that is pretty funny
Another great video! Please do a tasting of German Riesling and also address the relationship between Kabinette, Spatlasse, etc and sweetness level ( my understanding is it's not always linear!)
Stay tuned! Already shot and will be posted soon!
Italian City of Trieste has a Neptune fountain stature. It would be great as a nice logo for your wine seminars 😊
I will check it out!
What is your opinion on wine aerators? Should people use them, and if so, when?
I would rather decant, but if that is your only option, go for it
Peter, I really enjoy your work here, but wish that you would widen the view so that we get a better look. Thanks!
Will do with future videos
Interesting and informative. Why not show the bottle labels more?
will try to do that
Thanks Peter - I always enjoy your videos. How about a champagne tasting for $40-$60. Or maybe other sparkling wines such as Cremants etc
Will do for sure. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks. I won’t walk by!
Fantastic
Since you’re only tasting three, why not swallow?
Tasting is tasting, Drinking is drinking. When I taste professionally I spit.
