- Dragon's Dogma 2 update 1.050 as many now know, gives the ability to console peasants such as myself, to turn off ray tracing, lock fps to 30, and turn off motion blur if we wish.

This is what they had to do from the beginning, if your game barely gets above 30 fps, just lock it to 30 fps. Stability is important
That's just a palliative, because it solves nothing about drops
This wasn’t a performance update, Capcom are working on them now.
It was a performance test update, based on the fact that we have new graphical settings to tweak. Locked 30 fps, turning off motion blur, and ray tracing which has an impact on performance.
Where did you see that? Are they going to update further with more graphics options?
When is the “performance” update planned to release?
I’m glad for the 30fps cap. It gets so disorienting when the game suddenly goes super fast to super slow when fighting big monsters depending on if you’re looking up or down.
I like graphic lights more than fps. Having Ray trace off is strange. Can have both on? Hsve not changed yet
Im restarting my game i just started it and i want to try another vocation. Im new to this series im learning little by little. Any suggestions on starting vocation?
I know very little about the game. I myself did sword and shield, and once I max it out, I will near another vocation. You don't need to restart your entire game.
You don't need a restart to change vocation, this game is designed to let you experiment with classes anytime, instead.
That's the philosophy behind the single save slot choice, as it was in the original PS3 game.
How does Variable fare with RT off?
Haven't tried a city/town but it makes a noticeable difference in smoothness for the open world
I think it's the better choice for performance, using MB too.
Honestly I'm jealous that people can stomach 30fps. Thanks to PC gaming and 120fps Screens I need at least 60fps to play anything with a free moving camera nowadays.
Yeah I don't like 30 fps generally, but I'll easily take it over not playing the game at all. I have a great PC, but I hate PC gaming. I'm weird like that.
@@Philminatorthat’s retarded
i can stand many games at 30 but in some cases i might even need 90 to feel smoothness, like minecraft for example, or FPS. third person rpgs on controller on the other hand doens't need to be mandatory 60. still this game shoud've lauched with better performance.
@@Philminator I played both console and Pc. 30 FPS on console was once much smoother than Pc if dev did good optimizations. In Ps5 era, however, Games having 60 FPS and 30 FPS mode run terrible and laggy on 30 Fps. I don't know why

Can you make video about cod mw 2019 on ps5 playing with bots i searched on yt and didn't find any video about that
I think I've already made some videos on that game. I don't play any COD anymore though, as it's too time consuming. Once I play and record videos, I usually delete them, and move on.
@@Philminator but i didn't find that in your channel too
@@Dante39483 he just said he deletes older videos. Learn to read man..😑

If ray tracing is off, does it affect the resolution? Does it increase the resolution?
Definitely that and MB impact more.
But RT is actually bad in this game, so OFF should even looks better 🤔
I don't know what they did specifically. I don't see why the resolution would change if you turn off ray tracing. That's just my thoughts.
@@Philminator It looks like increase the definition and sharpness of the scene, and it actually makes sense: RT usually reduces image quality to add reflection effects, so it could happen here too, even if unexplained by Capcom 😌
@@MicuBamba RT on is more immersive
@@Rafael_MMAActually RT is bugged, so I wouldn't call it 'more immersive'. Especially if it can compromise a smoother gameplay in a game based on a fast combat-system.
Enlightening system in DD2 seems to be good designed, so RT not well implemented (as it is now) is just a waste of machine resources: don't trust every marketing ads about this feature, bro 😉
I have no idea if I want this on PC or Console
Just depends on your preference. Despite having quite a capable PC myself, I still prefer console by a large margin.
Control system and movements are designed for controller, if it can help your choice. Even inventory is easily manageable without a keyboard.
@@Philminator what are your reasons for console?
Are the graphics better than Elden ring
See no difference. But better performance is awesome
Capcom has stated turning on or off ray tracing and motion blur does nothing to influence the performance of the game.
Xbox when?
As the video states, soon. No idea when as I don't work with the devs.
Turn off Ray T and go to ps5 setting. Set it to 1080p or 2k and thx me later fps will be better alot F 4K sony
Already done that, though in many instances changing the PS5 settings to 1080p doesn't do anything. There's tons of articles on that.
That just changes your display resolution. It doesn’t affect the game
Correct.
