I have the m18 tower light. It chews through batteries like there's no tomorrow. Nothing anywhere near the advertised run time. Is the m12 tower light the same way?
Usually it will take a week or so after the sales have actually ended before the special packaged tools will be placed on the clearance shelves and marked down. However, a lot of items, like the bits in the Packout case are not a special package for Black Friday, so those will go back into regular stock and priced normally.
That Husky tool chest combo was the same price before Christmas...be careful a lot of this stuff was the same price before Christmas, but people don't tend to pay much attention and think a huge sale sign means its a great deal....same prices people.
I agree it's a great price, especially compared to others out there. I had a couple Husky boxes and they were great. There wasn't much that was discounted more after Christmas but will keep an eye out for when they do additional markdowns.
Pretty much every Husky box comes with drawer liners. Yes, the Husky is a decent value compared to the Craftsman. The difference is that the Craftsman boxes are made in the US, with global materials though. So, they use cheap Chinesium steel and I believe the casters are also sourced elsewhere, but the drawers and boxes are stamped, folded, welded, painted and finally assembled here in the US.
Thanks for your comment. Good to know about Craftsman boxes. I used to have a couple Husky boxes with the wood tops and they were great. Unfortunately I lost them from Hurricane Ian's storm surge.
@ 6:35 That MILWAUKEE 3453-22hsr kit sold out FAST -- still out of stock everywhere online too! Sucks, because I left my impact in an attic and was looking to get an M12 ratchet.
Having that plug 🔌 option is the way to go!! Both Kobalt and Dewalt make jobsite fans but the Kobalt has the plug option along with battery 🔋 the Dewalt doesn't I have the Kobalt fan it's fabulous ❤🎉😊
They had the dewalt dcf921 kit with bag, charger and 5ah batter for sale for 169 for quite a while. Excellent deal, picked one up for my dad. Oof it's on clearance for 129usd right now.
3:19 One of the guys in our shop pointed out that "Hole Dozer" sounds like the title of an adult film, and now that's all I think of whenever I see these. Happy New Year, everyone!
Forget going online, 4 0f the last 5 items I ordered online from Home Depot have either come severely damaged or missing parts like the M18 batteries. It's always a horrible experience, then you have to waste your time returning it or taking it back to the store. Sometimes it's better to go through Amazon than Home Depot.
That's a bummer. I've had mixed experiences with online ordering. Seems they need to work on their shipping process and pack things better since the boxes get thrown around by the shipping company.
Thanks for your comment. The leftover tools should have better deals coming since they won't have room to absorb the stock on their regular shelving. My Lowes sucks though, glad yours is doing better with flash sales.
@DIYCrasher that is my hope as well that the extra will mark down even more to make room. I left a few thing hoping that would be the case. If not... Guess I have to wait for memorial day 🤣
@DIYCrasher yes you had me thinking about it and I know I've had at least one tripod light with dual function power, then I remembered I've only had one tripod light ever lol so it has to be that one. I actually don't own it anymore.
I agree with you on that. Especially my Lowes is a ghost town, the Home Depot is across the street and it's the busiest one in the region, I'm amazed at the difference between my stores.
M12 Rocket Light can run off an extension cord. M12 soldering iron gets terrible reviews. I saw no great deals I had to have this year. Did order a Dewalt battery kit with free tool and getting the cordless planer for free. I'll return the batteries and the tool will cost me 109.
I stand corrected about the M12 Rocket Light. Old version didn't have it and glad it's on newer ones. Good to know about the soldering iron, it just seams convenient to use being battery powered. I was considering doing that same Dewalt hack with the planner, glad they have that deal until Feb 2nd so I have some time to do it.
@@DIYCrasheryeah i figured you had an older version of the m12 tower light. On a side note, the m18 starter kits got cleaned out at all my local stores too. But I'm pretty sure it was contractors just hunting for the batteries. At one home depot, there was a line of people returning the free tool to get lower prices. I lucked out and was able to score an m18 inflator for $50 from a guy in the line that didn't want store credit.
Here is my video of Lowes after Christmas tool deals: ua-cam.com/video/wxeiXOiay5s/v-deo.html
I have the M12 Rocket Light, and it’s definitely dual powered.
It is.
I have the m18 tower light. It chews through batteries like there's no tomorrow. Nothing anywhere near the advertised run time. Is the m12 tower light the same way?
My M12 light is not dual power, mine is a few years old.

Thanks for your comment. Hopefully there will be better deals ahead then. I will check again soon. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Yup bee es prices for sure.....no deals
Very good point, yes not much was marked down compared to before Christmas. I will keep an eye on the deals.
@@Robert-bg2nm It is still a great deal compared to regular price. It is a lot better than the typical 10% off.
I bought that red toolbox before Black Friday and it was the same $298. It is a good toolbox and worth it, in my opinion.
I agree it's a great price, especially compared to others out there. I had a couple Husky boxes and they were great. There wasn't much that was discounted more after Christmas but will keep an eye out for when they do additional markdowns.

...that being said - don't waste you money on a 1/4" drive Impact unless it's that 3rd Gen one with the 3 LEDs and shorter overall body. It's great.
Thanks for the recommendation. Home Depot has that kit on their website for $199, $20 more than in store price.
Think this will come back in stock??
I'm in both almost everyday. Thanks for the update cause pre Xmas not the best deals. I'm looking now.
Unfortunately it's still not the best deals

m12 most def uses a dual power
Is it a new one out? Mine is a couple years old and it's only battery powered.
@@DIYCrasher I got my M12 4 years ago it's duel powerd
@@ryanblackgoat4741 Man I must have got ripped off. Here I'm thinking it wasn't even offered as dual powered. I stand corrected.

You can power the M12 Light with a power cord I have one and do it all the time.
That's what I'm hearing from others, I stand corrected. I must have an old one.

Happy New Year, everyone!
That's a good one! Now that will stick in my mind. LOL
I was just going to say the same thing
I too have the m12 version of the rocket light and it can do both m12 battery or 120v Duel power
Glad to hear the M12 has dual power option, I stand corrected. I must have the earlier version before it came out with dual power.
That m12 driver drill will perform alot better with their m12 5.0ah high output battery. The difference is amazing.
Good to know, thanks for the tip!

Between home Depot and Lowe's Xmas sales I'm afraid to see the tools not on sale😢
M18 rocket light was 179 before Christmas
You are correct. It must be their new lower price.
Besides the Christmas stuff... The tool sales are the same. However Lowe's has been doing pretty decent flash sales.
Thanks for your comment. The leftover tools should have better deals coming since they won't have room to absorb the stock on their regular shelving. My Lowes sucks though, glad yours is doing better with flash sales.

Thank you

I don't know how long you've owned your M12 rocket light, but mine will take an extension cord....
I stand corrected, I must have had the older one that didn't have the extension cord option.
@DIYCrasher yes you had me thinking about it and I know I've had at least one tripod light with dual function power, then I remembered I've only had one tripod light ever lol so it has to be that one. I actually don't own it anymore.

Thanks my friend!

I have been trying to compare your prices with my area of the USA I am in the Oklahoma state area my prices are higher
I'm in Southwest Florida, I'm surprised your pricing is higher than here.
You can power the M12 with a power cord!!!!!!🤦♂️
