8:50 If you plan to do a fair amount of hand washing during your cruise, one of my favorite must haves is a collapsible salad spinner. You can put the colander part in the larger catch bowl, add soap, water, and small laundry items. Let them soak and agitate by hand as needed. When you’re ready to rinse, lift out the colander part with the clothes in it, dump the soapy water out of the bowl and add fresh water. When you’re clean and rinsed you can use the spin function to get clothes much drier than you normally would be able to wringing by hand, and unlike trying to manually wring the laundry items, it won’t twist/mash/damage things like underwire bras and swimsuit tops, or things with decorative beading or appliqués.
Doing anything I just gotta say I love Amazon shopping videos, especially when it’s very knowledgeable people like yourself. My wife doesn’t ‘ cause I buy too much.
iPhone tether strap I actually found about that in September when I was in Hong Kong as everybody was wearing it using it and it’s a normal thing around there so we got some there
Find the magnetic hat clips and they didn’t quite work. They weren’t strong enough for our hats. Maybe we have big heads but we were able to get a hat clip that was like an alligator clip that had sponges on the end so you could grip it that way, and those ones worked for us.
Darn it another thing not to buy we’ve been using travel pillows since mid 2015 or 2017 we used to have those other pillows and we still have some left that we just keep to display cause it’s like a Disney one or ones like a Canadian moose, but yeah, we’ve been using these cause we don’t necessarily use them all the time but if we need to use one, we have one cause it inflates and deflates
My newest cruise gadget is the portable hanging clothes dryer! It is perfect to dry all your swimwear quickly! I'm so excited about it because I HATE wet swim wear hanging in the shower or putting it on damp!
All very good suggestions. The cell phone lanyard I highly recommend. My wife has used one for several years now. A word of caution: the tab that slips inside your phone cover can teat over time. Buy a quality one that is stronger and less likely to tear.
I have a similar backpack that I bought almost two years ago and have taken it on about 8 or 9 trips...both just down to the US and overnto Europe. Absolutely a game changer. Same size as a rolling suitcase but easier to travel with through the airport (especially when you are in a hurry!). And no fighting for the overhead bin space now that everyone seems to be travelling with carry-on big enough to store an extra person! I don't think I will ever go back to a rolling carryon!
Love the phone strap idea! I have seen the lanyard type one & plan to get that for our europe cruise next November but definately going to grab this tether one:) We also use a waterproof/sandproof backback that folds closed & then locks together with a combination lock. We attach it to lounge chair & kind of tuck it under something & have not had any issues since we have had it, touch wood lol!
Watched a lot of your videos as we have now booked our 1st cruise for March and booking the 2nd cruise to Alaska in June/July. We have not cruised since the pandemic and decided it was time! I had soooooo many notes scattered around - decided to purchase your cruise planner as I love to be organized! What a great find... I have travelled for years and still create a folder for each trip and put it in my carry on. (I'm 55 yrs old) Excellent that I can print out what pages I need for the trip! I only wish that it was editable so I can add my own notes, packing items, etc and it saves it. Teresa
Thanks! One warning, please be aware of people around you when wearing one of the very large backpacks. I have been whacked in the face while sitting in my aisle seat and the wearer turns around.
Love the phone tether item, especially for Europe cruise. Phone snatching is huge and tourists are targeted due to pulling phones out to take pictures.
any good recommendations for a waterproof man sling bag a bit bigger than the waist band you showed but more of a sling that is waterproof and good quality
Some very good items, love the Hat Clip. I'm sure the backpack is handy, but sure dislike people wearing them everywhere, when they turn around and smack you with them.
Es muy interesante, no conocía las bolsas negras para zapatos y que sin reutilizables. Yo los llevaba en boksas de ropa y luego las lavaba. A ver si las pruebo. Gracias 😊😊
At first I didn’t think a travel backpack was necessary. However last year I decided to get one & I won’t go back. I can’t vouch for how it would fit under the seats on any of the low carriers like Spirit or even the regional third party carriers that are are part of the legacy carriers but on my flights with Southwest & United I had no issues fitting the large one under the seat. I also pack one of those travel backpacks that can fold into itself. I’m not sure what the name for it is but it’s small enough that it doesn’t take up much room so when you go into port you can use it a just a regular backpack.
hi Ilanna! I am going on a 7 night cruise in January to Caribbean, just curious, do I really need to do any hand washes for that length cruise? Or can I just bring enough clothing for that time? Also, can you recommend some dresses for the weather there? thanks!!! I really enjoy your videos!! Thanks!!
@@carolyntemplin488 so exciting!! I don’t think you need to do a wash if you bring enough for each day. RC recently updated this part of their policy that only allows the brick-style USB only adapters that plug directly into the outlet with no power cable. You can have several USB slots but no additional outlets for two- or three-prong plugs.
We were in Europe a couple of months ago and I made my husband put a tether on his iPhone and wasn’t really happy about it. When we were in Greece, I literally watched a guy on a motorcycle eye my husband’s phone as he was engrossed in looking at directions. Luckily I had made him put the wristband on his wrist and when the guy realized it was attached to my husband, he moved on. Keep ahold of those iPhones people. iPhone theft in the U.S. is pretty rare, but not so in other countries.

We flew to Honolulu and did a 3 days on Oahu with a 7 day cruise that stopped at Maui fir 2 days, Hilo and Kona on the Big Island and 2 days at Kauai. NCL Pride of America.
Other cruise lines definitely sail to Hawaii from a west coast city. But the geographic distance means it takes 4-5 days at sea for a ship to get there. I believe the only other option is to fly there and get on Pride of America to cruise the islands.

How does it measure up for airline carry on sizes?
@bernadettelawson2916 I'm not sure the size, but I had mine pretty full. It still fits under the seat with plenty of room.

do you need two soap bags for both shampoo and conditioner?
