You know you're a good dad when despite all the fancy sabers you've collected over the years, it's those plastic ones you and your son first played with that mean so much to you.
Hey Jackson, thank you so much man. I really appreciate that. Either way, the goal is to continue to stimulate my sons, imagination and creativity, as well as my own. I like to enjoy all Star Wars lightsabers, considering that all of my viewers can afford the more expensive ones. 👍🏻
When I was 10 I had an anakin plastic saber that was fully retractable. Admittedly it didn’t light up but the fact the blade went all the way in really sold me.
I love the detachable blade version of the Disney sabers. I have the Vader and Anakin. The saber that really reignited my desire for sabers was the jedi academy saber. It was wild at the time.
Yeah, the versions sold in the parks are the fixed blade versions. It appears the removable blades versions came out some time after the Savi and Legacy sabers due to slide lock feature on the blades. The Mace saber sold DL is the removable blade version.
Love your vids and all the work you put into them and thanks you for thanking people for clicking on your vid it lights up my day every single time keep going strong I enjoy every vid thank you sooooooo much
When I was a kid I used to have the Kenner Power of the Force Luke Skywalker lightsaber from ROTJ. It was the best one I've ever had and I had lots of fun playing with it.
Hey obi-dad, I was wondering if maybe during spring break since it’s coming up, we could have Landon come in for a video, just a though, have a great day!
I was hoping you had the only saber I had as a kid which was the original extendable maul. My best friend at the time might have had the extendable obi wan both from episode 1. We had so much fun with those well beyond the electronics breaking down.
I've got and still have the plastic Vader one from the 80's. It was hollow tube, no electronics back then, the air would flow through the tube while swinging it to make a sound. I do have some of the Build a Saber ones from DL and few Saber Forge sets. The latter do allow you to mix and match different sets since there is a screwing on and button lock since they come unassembled. If you haven't seen Dan O channel, he covers lightsabers as well, but he reviews other SW stuff such as figures, playsets, droids, etc.
oh yes... I have read about these hollow tupes! lol they had slits in them I think so the air would make that squealing sound. That's awesome man, thank you so much for watching TK.
Finding the Force and/or Obi-Dad Kenobi, I am thrilled to have happened upon your channel last Spring. (Longtime habitual watcher, supporter and subscriber of the channel; however, this is my first time commenting. I’m a doctor, extraordinarily busy, hope you understand). I love Star Wars, but I also really love lightsabres! And your truly unique, wholesome and entertaining channel makes it THE fans’ destination in the galaxy for all things Star Wars! Brilliant, lovely stuff! Being a bloody sucker for nostalgia, my favourite lightsabre(s) shown in the video would be the 1996 Return of the Jedi Darth Vader & Luke Skywalker electronic sabres. Though old and dated, those telescoping pieces of light-up plastic have a special place in me old heart! Very near and dear. However, I also really love the Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Anakin to Darth Vader Colour-Change Blade (from blue to red, that is) Lightsabre, released back in 2005. Oh, the memories! Have you ever seen and/or owned that one? I’d be interested to hear. Anyhow, I look forward to this 3-part series (or 3 phases as you put it). You kicked things off with a cracking banger! Brilliant! I will continue to support the channel. It is fantastic! Love the content! Keep doing what you do, mate! It’s bloody excellent! Don’t change your style or humour! Hoping Landon and the rest of the Sutter family are doing well! May the Force be with you (and yours)… always. Giovanni Marino, M.D.
Giovanni, it is a pleasure and an honor to have you with us. I truly appreciate your support of my channel, I try to have fun and make Star Wars entertaining. And I know exactly how it feels to be busy, making these videos can really be a challenge sometimes. I look forward to reading more of your comments in the future 👍🏻
Very nice. Can't wait to see the continuation videos to show more of your collection. I'd take the Ahsoka Tano set in a heartbeat. Super fun. I can't believe you don't have a Yoda Force FX lightsaber (yet). Insane to see the price go up that much.
My friend has an older version of the Yoda lightsaber It looks identical to the one you showed the video but has no cover tech wheel And the blade doesn’t come out but it does have lock up
I stumbled on your channel because I was looking to buy some plastic sabers. I ordered 2 already on shop Disney. My mom couldn’t afford to get them for me when I was younger, but know that I have that adult money I am able to purchase them. Awesome content and will keep watching!
That first Vader lightsaber is the Episode III configuration, not shown in the movie but seen in promo shots, and I think there was a deleted scene that showed off that Vader lightsaber.
I got two of the Darth Maul forge sabers and swapped the pieces so the end emitters are similar and made two distinct staff sabers each with a different look.
Hello there from New Caledonia 🏝 I still have the Darth Vader one show at 4:44. I ordered via Lucasfilm Magasine in France and it was the coolest thing of all the time when I got it 😍
I remember I always wanted a toy lightsaber as a kid but my parents wiuld never get me them so I'd actually make paper replicas of the hilts and just play with those, they didn't even have a blade. I miss those days, fun memories and what not!
3:33You know I also have Darth Vader's lightsaber (I've had it for many years) and something similar is happening to Luke's lightsaber that you have, that is, only two parts of the blade stopped shining
That's pretty cool I have about half of the lightsabers toys because I am nuts about lightsabers too but I don't have the 90's version of Luke and vader but my favorite toy lightsaber is kylo ren's lightsaber from the last jedi it's a Saber where the blades do not detach it's all one toy but it's super cool and the sounds are super accurate straight out of the movie so awesome and so are you obi-dad kenobi
I went to Disney world during my freshman year of high school and in Epcot, they had a shop where I made a custom plastic lightsaber with my eyes closed, and it cost me about $125 at the time. This took place in April of 2018
I had the kylo with fixes blade, live the hilt, and it’s extremely nice in my opinion for what it is, honestly now that I remember it I think I may just repaint the hilt, and ditch the blades since I broke them playing so much with it.
I have a darth Vader that looks exactly like those 1996 ones but it can’t be as I wasn’t even born then and I remember going to the shop with my parents to get it in the early 2000s
I have the plastic hasbro darksaber and like one of the lights have died and it keeps turning off thats a sign its time to get a new lightsaber so im going to the disney shop on saturday to buy some new plastic ones with removable blades question are they good for dueling
The led strings can be repaired or replaced, if you're willing to tear the hilt and blade apart. There's also saber smiths who would do the work too. (you tube has videos on how to do this also, and some how to move the leds closer together).
You know you're a good dad when despite all the fancy sabers you've collected over the years, it's those plastic ones you and your son first played with that mean so much to you.

@@FindingTheForce Seems like the Telegram bot is back. Just giving you a heads-up to get them reported.
True. Thanks for telling me I'll be a good dad
I had that luke skywalker one, I still do, but the blade is gone. It's just a C battery flash light now that makes noises haha
He’s right you’re the best dad of having a lot of plastic toys for you’re children and having fun you’re 99% blessed
When I was 10 I had an anakin plastic saber that was fully retractable. Admittedly it didn’t light up but the fact the blade went all the way in really sold me.
I had one like it to that I got in a pack of two it came with kylo rens and Rey’s
2:04 revenge of the sith Darth Vader lightsaber (DV3)
I love the detachable blade version of the Disney sabers. I have the Vader and Anakin. The saber that really reignited my desire for sabers was the jedi academy saber. It was wild at the time.
That’s great man. Nobody can deny how much fun Sabers are. 😆
Yeah, the versions sold in the parks are the fixed blade versions. It appears the removable blades versions came out some time after the Savi and Legacy sabers due to slide lock feature on the blades. The Mace saber sold DL is the removable blade version.
How does the vader one feel I wanna use it for a budget cosplay
1 of the lights in my ahsoka sabers is sleeping
Love your vids and all the work you put into them and thanks you for thanking people for clicking on your vid it lights up my day every single time keep going strong I enjoy every vid thank you sooooooo much
You have really helped in rekindling my love of Star Wars
Which lightsaber would you choose?
I already choose Ezra's lightsaber I mean look at it! It's a lightsaber that shoots and I love it so much!!🥰
Have to say the Ahsoka Tano set. Scream saber would get me thrown out of the house, but it would be so much fun to have.
Definitely Darksaber 😆
But for 2nd choice, Ahsoka or Maul saber.
The Scream saber was released a couple of years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if kids and even adults recorded fart sounds and used it as a sound.
Ezra's lightsaber Became my pride and Joy.😊👍
When I was a kid I used to have the Kenner Power of the Force Luke Skywalker lightsaber from ROTJ. It was the best one I've ever had and I had lots of fun playing with it.
YES!!! Please do the History of Lightsaber toys!
Thank you for the response, I think it would be a fun video to make
Hey obi-dad, I was wondering if maybe during spring break since it’s coming up, we could have Landon come in for a video, just a though, have a great day!
Thanks so much donkey for the suggestion, I’ll see what I can do. I hope you’re doing well, thanks for watching.
I absolutely love watching people enjoy Star Wars
Love the videos man and all that positive energy, whenever i'm down I just watch your videos.
A story of lightsaber toys would be cool
Ok now that’s badass!
I was hoping you had the only saber I had as a kid which was the original extendable maul. My best friend at the time might have had the extendable obi wan both from episode 1. We had so much fun with those well beyond the electronics breaking down.
Great video! Love those plastic ahsoka sabers!
Thanks so much Myles! Really appreciate you watching man.
These are so great! I love my plastic ones I let the kids play with.
Care free right! 😆👍🏻
The 1996 Luke Skywalker ROTJ saber was the very first lightsaber I ever owned. Got it for my birthday. That one holds a special place in my heart

Hey Donovan, thank you so much for that man. I really appreciate it. I’m very lucky to have you as a subscriber.
@@FindingTheForce your welcome and may the force be with you as always my friend
Staple gun saber is my favorite of all time
That’s awesome Danny, I really hope to wield the neo pixel version someday soon.

👍🙏🤘
Please start of with the forge
I have two the darth maul and dark saber
Fake guys don’t fall for this

How do we get in touch with that Smuggler72 guy? Am trying to get the Luke Skywalker Toy lightsaber for my son for his birthday.
I would definitely like to watch a history of lightsabers video
Thanks so much bud. 👍🏻😃
I had that very same Luke Skywalker saber in the late 90’s. Best toy I ever had and 25 years later I regret not taking better care of it.
Disney just released a new mace windu plastic lightsaber with the removable blade
It's available in DL now, I have no idea about WDW. It runs around $40 but I used my Magic key discount and paid $34.
I stumbled on your channel because I was looking to buy some plastic sabers. I ordered 2 already on shop Disney. My mom couldn’t afford to get them for me when I was younger, but know that I have that adult money I am able to purchase them. Awesome content and will keep watching!
I have a few lightsaber forge ones and I Love every single one my favorite one is the dark saber
I saw that one and I was super tempted to get it. Thanks viper.
I definitely recommend the darth maul lightsaber it was like $45 and I have had so much fun with it
Right on Brax, I think I might be buying some more of those sets. Thank you so much for watching.
I have the darksaber forge one it's fun to mix and match
And the Darth Maul you presented at the end was awesome, just as the wands in Harry Potter, you can make an infinity saber hilt designs!
Ashoka's sound amazing
I think so, too man. Adding a little bit of weathering, and I think they would really make any cosplay!
@@FindingTheForce nice.
That Ezra saber with a little better paint job could be a nice display piece
I still have my 1996 Luke and Darth Vader sabers. Still work and in good shape!
Love you Finding Force!!!!
That first Vader lightsaber is the Episode III configuration, not shown in the movie but seen in promo shots, and I think there was a deleted scene that showed off that Vader lightsaber.
Haha to the hello there
I love the lightsaber forge series
I got two of the Darth Maul forge sabers and swapped the pieces so the end emitters are similar and made two distinct staff sabers each with a different look.
I just realized that the profile picture wasn’t just a picture of Obi-Wan from the Kenobi show. Very cool.
Hello there from New Caledonia 🏝

Are you gonna review the Luke Skywalker elite saber?
There will be nothing, keeping me from not reviewing that Saber! Ha ha 👍🏻
2:10 it's Ep. III. 5:10 it's Ep. VI.
6:45 mine was Obi Ep. I, lost the light bulb and never found the good one for replacement.
Please make a lightsaber collectibles history video, I've been so curious as to exactly when metal sabers became commonplace.
I have some hilts with me, togheter with plastic LED light bulbs, and I will buy a LED strip to have the whole SW saber protocols, LOL!
The Obi-Wan Kenobi plastic is back in stock on disney
I have that I was a boy
That hum from the star cruiser saber is loud
Right! 👍🏻
3:33You know I also have Darth Vader's lightsaber (I've had it for many years) and something similar is happening to Luke's lightsaber that you have, that is, only two parts of the blade stopped shining
Yeah, that’s a bummer. Guess they’re just not made to last over a long time.
Have you ever owned the Ultimate Lightsaber build-your-own kit that was released in 2005?
I THINK plastic lightsabers are class
That’s awesome man, I really hope you liked my video then. Thanks for watching.
There's nothing wrong with having plastic lightsabers. I've got a few build a sabers from DL and a some of the Saberforge sets.
I want a Savi workshop lightsaber too. I wish I had the money to go to galaxy's edge by star wars
What’s a better toy for kids out of the Ahsoka Disney store plastic duo set or the Single Ahsoka Forge lightsaber?
General Grievous wants your location
Hahaha that means you know it has to be a good collection 😉

Right on well, thanks so much for sharing. I always enjoy meeting other Saber enthusiasts. Thanks for the comment.
You know I have the scream saber as well it’s funny how the smooth swing is better than any toy lightsaber that exists
KEVIN 👏👏

Do they allow you to bring any of these into the park? I have an upcoming Disney trip and I have the Obi-Wan lightsaber.
start off with the lightsaber forge sabers. They are so much lighter and better for younglings to use.
I have the plastic hasbro darksaber and like one of the lights have died and it keeps turning off thats a sign its time to get a new lightsaber so im going to the disney shop on saturday to buy some new plastic ones with removable blades question are they good for dueling
OK that’s a lot of dead lights in the Aniken one

😳😳😳 good to know lol
Ha ha yeah! It has gotten a lot of love.
Love the video and channel. Think we have the same Star Wars dad vibes. MTFBWY
Yes I have Asoka’s
Really hope they make a cheap Luke lightsaber with removable blade.
When I got my obi wan kenobi lightsaber at disney my blade is able to come off is it because of it being new
I have that same kylo saber got mine in 2015 and my side blades don't come off
The reason why they curve different ways is because Ahsoka holds one in reverse grip
That makes sense, thanks for watching Skylar.
@@FindingTheForce you're welcome, love your vids though I'm a new veiwer
I really want that Luke one
I have the obi version of the telescope version haha
im looking for a anakin lightsaber that is for a good buget
The hilt is from the force unleashed (darth vader)
where can buy this dark saber?
I think that Vader Saber is from rebels
Wow
I have the red one
I know this video is a year old but the vader hilt is from revenge of the sith. The hilt isnt shown in the film however
9th comment I'd choose the most realistic/
Ah yes. The red crossguard that killed han solo!! 20:40
It’s episode 3 2:15
I never had anyone to play with it with.
General grises
Menők a lightsaber😊😮
It's not in the anakin it has sweets inside haha

I used to have a Yoda lightsaber. But it broke and had to say goodbye to it.
2:26 bro I have that lightsaber what
The darth Vader is a design on poster art never in film
The first one is darth vaders lightsaber from revenge of the sith
