- This plane is just too cool, honestly. The A2D-1 was added to the game last year. The performance of a fighter with the ordnance of a bomber!
I'd like to come back and revisit this plane some time. We can try some of the other load outs. War Thunder unfortunately offered this thing as a premium only, which means the only turbo-prop planes in the game are only accessible to those who can afford them. This thing is so good, though.

Tiger II H 10.5cm with the Jagdtiger and the Panther II as backups, CAS choice is all yours but the 50mm armed Me262 will propably do some decent work.
This thing, in sim, is a money printer.
I just bought this because I really, really love my 7.0 usa ground rb lineup. It's nice for sure. I got slowly chased down horizontally by a P-47D an hour ago, which I didn't think would happen (I had a bit of fuselage damage though), so there are still things I must learn!
What's your 7.0 lineup?
@@tyler17728 If I'm (rarely) just focused on silver lions etc, the T29 and A2D-1 are a powerful premium combo in themselves (I once had reservations about the A2D-1, but not now). (And I see today the T29, T30 and T34 got a small upgrade in that their top MG is now controlled by their gunner not commander). I could add yet another excellent premium in the M46 Tiger but didn't get it and instead just use the regular tech tree M46 ... which is brilliantly responsive and capable. I'm not sure anyone knows if the tech tree's fun turret cage is hindrance or not but it's fun knowing it probably helps vs the recently growing number of tanks and SPGs trying pure HE ammo. The T95 is great on full or partial downtiers (mine has something like a 3-to-1 kill death ratio) but, like the tough Jumbos etc, isn't balanced to work ok in uptiers. The F3D-1 is a cool aircraft that looks miles worse than the A2D-1 on paper, but is basically better at all the things that aren't listed in the stats (roll rate, centrally mounted guns etc) and feels good. I must say that currently I'm also enjoying the UK 7.0 linup, with the Conway, Eland 90 and FV4202 all being good at different things.

one thing of note is that it used to have gun lead indicator when you actually managed to lock the radar on a target ... hell that feature was the reason i bought it in the first place ... then they made radars totally useless so you cant lock even target 500m in front of and above you then took out the gun radar feature altogether ...
still the BEST propeller driven fighter when flown right i almost cry when i see 2-3 of them lawnmowing in air RB every single game ...

My fav loadout of the A2D is the rockets + bomb.. Mainly to snipe the radar spaa first with the rockets before doing cas stuff

if you want a proper dyson its the t80U, that thing sounds like gunner Ivan is constantly getting crumbs everywhere causing commander Ivan to have to hoover up

Very glad I didn't buy this one. I was soooooo keen to get it, to pair it up with the lovely 6.7br USA ground forces lineup. But then later its br went up to 7.0! A near miss for me, as I try to have everyone be at the same br (I worry about that too much!). Love the air collision at the start of the vid! Glad Phly sent us your way. Your vids are great - nice observations, skillful play and not too much editing. It'd be cool to see you do something a bit like OrangeFan's 'First 10' videos, which were great to see because they kinda showed how he REALLY copes, without cherrypicking best games etc. (As a War Thunder player I'm conscious that watching amazing high-kill battles on UA-cam doesn't necessarily represent how to really play War Thunder, as it often backfires and presumably the backfire vids are never really shown).

This bird made me milions in rp and sl before it went up in br for arcade i learned to fly war thunder in this plane its the first one i bought and still enjoi it much today aldu its br rise vs jets made everything more dificult
The Skyshark is such a cool aircraft, that short era of turbo-prop/turbine driven aircraft also produced the Wyvern. Shame the A2D failed in reality.

A2D feels so fast, and it also accelerates insanely well in the dive, much better than the jets such as 26w. The 262.
It is not dive acceleration but also horizontal one. Once you get anything to your level of energy, it will not survive, cause you can start do vertical maneuvers which it will be not able to follow.
I fly it a lot in ground sim battles. I can be defeated only by some pesky La9 pilots which climb above me and I did not spot them.

I dont understand one thing. Why me262 with 50mmm trying to engage enemy planes instead of making looong straight passes to engage ground units. After many turns the 262 loosing its advantage.

Which one is better the a2d1 or au1?
They're both great at their respective BR's for Ground RB. The AU-1 has more vehicles to back it up, though.

Can you explain why they bought this out at 6.7 . Then after heaps of us buy it they just move it to 7.3 . And if you ask me it's the same as the British wyvren don't think i spelt that right . But you know what i mean . I feel like they put it at a lower br so people would buy it and then moved it to 7.o . Ware it doesn't stand a chance . I feel i have been ripped off . Because I don't use it anymore because it's useless against the jets at 7.3 . They took my money under fauls prettcess. Knowing full well that it would be uptiered to 7.0 i am pissed off about this and i think i have a valid reason to be
Seriously, hight and speed do not fit, no wonder all the planes can do 80-90° attacks, like a Stuka. He attacks from around 800m alt with up to 500+ Km/h, that's 139m per second. He would lawn dart after few seconds.

So What makes war thunder think it is capable of facing a jet at 7.0 it won't stand a chance in hell it turns like a brick it's slow and it's heavy as hell . Why is it at 7.0

because hispanos in general have no good rounds ... they are second worst cannons in the game, it really doesnt matter what crap you load into them
Nothing against you and your video outboard Thunder ceases but God I hope they lower its engine sound cuz when in a tank and that goes over you and you have a certain type of headset it literally blows the headset up
