You WILL get injured. However, you're also supported by one of the fastest casevac forces in the World. If you REALLY need triage, you get it, not that you'll really need it. In Afghanistan the majority of wounds I saw were sprains, sprained ankles, sprained wrists, knee and elbow sprains. Occasionally you'd see hip and shoulder rotator cuff injuries. Those actually require convalesence, a little honest R&R..

In the Geneva Convention medics are non combatants and are armed for self defence only. This combat medical unit is a bit of a change and whilst I think is a necessary evil is it lawful?

I don’t see how this is considered a medevac unit when they’re using casevac platforms. It sounds more like medics just attached to a fire support unit

Seems like under barrel grenade launchers might be better. They could use mostly concealment smoke grenades by default with some explosive grenades available. Could also operate some reconnaissance drones to keep busy and spot some casualties that require assistance on their own. The RPGs could be used by others for fire support.
English lesson: Verbs in the simple present tense (to shoot) for the third person singular (unit) add "s", so Unit...that Shoots... Note the "s" at the end of "shoot". I tell you this to help you with your English, because you are the good guys
